Yeah, but you them have to ensure that the box you buy has everything you need, which they frequently don't - I have a Koken 1/2 socket set, and only just realised that it didn't have a power bar (Haven't used it yet

MONTE---Take it from a guy who has used grinders for hours upon hours, days upon days, an "On-Off" switch will get you hurt.
The only way I like to use any type/style of grinder is with a flapper wheel, or trigger switch, that way when you get tired, and you will if you use it much at all, you will just be letting "Go", and it won't Eat you Lunch.
I've had one tear into my clothes from "reaching over" too far, with a 9" bead wheel installed. Praise the Lord I had new covies on, and could "Let Go" of the trigger AFTER it was wound up in my clothes....
Also seen one get "into" a guys arm.....not a lot left after that, Trust me.

I export tools anywhere and if the receiver of the goods is outside of the EU, there is no VAT, if it is inside the EU you pay 19% VAT. What is the problem? OK; sometimes you have to use wikipedia to figure out if the Faroer Islands need to pay VAT, but that's all. It is just necessary to know that to save the VAT the goods have actually to be exported out of the EU. So if you live in the US and have the goods shipped to Germany, e.g. to pick them up on a trip, you have to pay VAT. But, there are also ways around that
Ok, its show time for some of my tool goodies.
Let's start first with my new - used - Garant torque wrenches. They are 20-120 and 40-200Nm and have interchangeable inserts. Got them on ebay.de for a very reasonable price. (@ Monte: You see I did it)

Then we come to another piece of tool which is sold under all kind of brand names, something almost not discussed in this thread so far: Spring tensioner. Mine is Elora. They are pretty strong and I never had the feeling they bend under load so far.
Towards the end some shots of a typical German DIY 1/4" set nicely boxed by Proxxon. It's as complete as it should be. Taiwan made though:
The ratchet is coarse and the lever always flips when you want to stay him in position. Will get a 'replacement' by SnapOn soon. Just wait for its arrival from a GJ member
The 1/4" set has a big brother also, that never disappointed me. Ratchet is better than the 1/4" version.
If nothing helps I can grab another ratchet anytime. Here are some versions from SnapOn (S80, an F80 didn't made it on the pic)) Pittsburgh, BGS Technic, Kobalt and two gearless Toptul ratchtes (1/4 and 3/8"). The latter are great for tight spots (virtually no play), but the selector ring ***** since it switchtes as soon as your hand get to close to the head while ratcheting.
Will close this post with two shots. First my current torque wrench collection. Will sell the Hazet soon.
And the drawer they live in (some will recognize: it's in the famous HF 13 drawer tool cart)

AFAIK they always had a "plastic" motor housing. The Flex models L 1109 FE and L 1710 FRA are not "NOS" but come in a old design which is 20 years or older. The very first "Festo" jigsaw (PS1) which was made by Flex already came with that motor housing design and the PS1 was produced before 1991.
It´s probably not the safest switch.....but...no risk no fun
I basically only use 5" grinders, and if i should use the 7" grinder i will pay extra attention what i´m doing.

How and where do you guys put deep sockets when using a Hazet 190 They do not stand up in any area except the bottom. HOW STUPID I have been trying for a year to make this 190 work. I am about to give up and go with SNAP-ON with drawers and a tray. Do you guys carry your sockets in your pants pocket? Hate this tool box now

NO, Deep sockets. NO impact sockets, just hand tools to disassemble BMW motorcycles. There is NO room. The second tray down is covered by the top tray partially. I need punches, wrenches , sockets deep, regular, 1/4 drive extensions, hammers X2, breaker bar, ratchets, screwdrivers, brass drifts, ++ By the time I get it in there it's just a pile with no organization which drives me nuts. it takes longer to do what is needed.
I am putting it up in the classified and for trade SNAP-ON two drawer fold down face

I don't think there is anything wrong with your box it may just not meet your needs. Long sockets and things like that are not as common among german manufacturers as they are from american tool companies.
Do you have some close up pics of the Garant torque wrench handle and the Walter wrenches ?

The Proxxon look great and they come with a nice case. It's hard to say no to that price, but something tells me that these probably aren't made in the "old world". Which set would you all buy? Is there another brand I should be looking at?
