been out tidying my garage so took the opertunity to take a few more pics
The ball-peen hammer is from.... well i cant really remember now as Ive had it a long time, for some reason i have the feeling its from Beta tools, as there is a dealer near me, and i remember them saying the maker was a sponsor of Ferrari and used by them etc, Plus they used to send reps to my work.
, its french made though so odds on its Facom, or a re-branded Facom...
Also two Thor copper and copper/hide mallets, made in England
i like the fact the weight of the head is cast into the iron part, nice weight to them and they last a long time, this manufacturer seems to be the most common one for these type of mallets in my area, well it was last time i was shopping for one (these were bought 4 or so years ago, as you can see never been used)
also not quite an old world tool as i think its prob made in china, but i did this to my small bench vise
it is/was a seally branded one, (has been repainted by me)
so now I need a new..(or old) better quality one
wasn't even putting that much strain on it when it failed

and now own mostly decent quality tools, the majority US made. I am not a pro, just a weekend tinkerer, but full-time IT guy, and part-time watch work.. I use many types of tools throughout the week. I own mostly Craftsman tools, Craftsman Pro screwdrivers, Moody screwdrivers, some odd Husky, Kobalt, some older Stanley, Crescent, Fuller, etc.. and a few eBay acquired MAC and Snap-on bits and pieces. This thread inspired me to check my tools for "old world" tools..
