Nice Ko-ken stuff. Those universals are the newly designed ball-joint type too.

Do you have Ko-ken dealers in Iceland, or were they purchased from the UK?

And I can spot a pair of Japanese made pliers. Care to show us? :D
Koken has been sold here, on and off for over 25 years. But I am not sure we have Koken dealer so to speak. Icelandic wurth dealer is selling koken. Judging by prices everything they sell is made of gold - so I never shop there. I got this Japanese haul from levelchrome.com

First a little size comparison:
1/2" no-name joint
1/2" Koken
3/8" Facom
3/8" Koken

Yeah, I have the Hazet version from the Smart Case also, but neither those are 14" long. :)

yours is the longest :D

Thanks Automatique.
Clients demand Gedore tools.

good clients :)

Thanks Monte.
How about bits Bianditz? and Toptul wrenche?

I tried the Bianditz bit several times and it works great ! The Toptul wrench is still unused in my collectors box :D i hope i have a chance to use it soon ! (sorry no 13mm screws to remove/install :)) Thanks again Bhae !

The rest of my equipment :)

@Olafur:

@american lockpicker, monte: thanks - my daddy's one-of-many, like the voltage tester :) that drill is 21 years old machine and still works as new. In my opinion, it is really profi tool, because my father lead it through the way of hell - for 20 years he was using it heavily in his work, almost every day...

@Olafur : Compliments  Excellent drivers and pliers. High grade steel and nice exotic design, the Japanese know how to make tools. Indeed:thumbup:

Sure !
"Roch" is an old French measuring tools brand. Quite popular over here.

Thanks. :)
I already tried the Engineer pliers, removing old rusted screws and material seems fine. I would like another pair few sizes larger for automotive work. The "super" pliers are quite well made but I have doubts about jaw hardness. Probably intended for electrical use, not to pull on hard brake springs e.t.c.

@Bhae
You must have the coooooooooolest tools shop in Spain!

Bought some Milwaukee tools in a package deal at my local hardware store. Are these by any chance made in Germany/Europe? The label in the picture is plastered on the tools, batteries and charger but it doesn't say 'Made In'.
I have learned that Milwaukee tools sold in the US says 'Made In China'.

Those Koken u-joints look awesome. How well do they work? Seems to me that they might be easier to turn smoothly than regular u-joints.

I was about to order them from levelchrome but they appear to only have the 3/8" and 1/2". I want the 3/8 and the 1/4... Anybody know of a source for both?

is there a hole in the cutting edge ?
Yes, wire stripper. :)

@zuspiel;
They work well. Smooth even at full angle. I am almost sure my regular one's will stay in the drawer from now on. Not sure if Koken makes 1/4"

I would really like to know who makes this. I would also like Knipex or NWS to take a shot at this design.

I didn't find the crying guy so I just use this one instead. :(
:D

This one looks pretty good, I have one similar, It is 10 years old and I never use it. I probably would if I had to wire a house or some major wiring project, not sure though.

What I like about this design is how versatile it is. Here is an example:

I rarely have tools to post in this thread, so I'm going to post this knife.

More knife made in Sweden. Purchased for the bargain price of $8.50 + tax from Harry Epstein.

and the Zyklop I got from the classifieds..

Nice with a full set!

More pics, Koken:
1/2" joint
3/8" joint
1/4" socket set
1/2" xzn set
1/2" torx set

Those universal joints are nice! Usually see that style in impact rated.

Finally started to repaint my cheapo jack stands. Can´t stand the red anymore :D Will try to match the blue of my trolley jack.

Good idea, post pics when done!

So, Hazet experts, anybody seen this one before?

Actually, it's a custom. Used a Wright 14" long 1/4" extension and fellow GJ member gj67stang putt hat in the handle of a broken Hazet screwdriver I had. Seems to have worked out great. I can use either the hex bolster or the 1/4" female end.

Good work, Dr Frankenstein! :)

Some new purchases for me. These ones are bart1's fault! :D

Stahlwille flex 3/8" sockets:

The "S" marking, not to intrusive, but would be nicer without...

WOW amazing works of art !!!:bowdown::bowdown:

They sell a nice plastic carrying case:

The latest models come with anti vibration handle. But the vibrations with the normal handle are very low imho.

Does anyone know if Beta sockets are still made in Italy? I have several, all marked "Beta Italy", but I have a 12mm that does not say ITALY on it. It also lacks the frosted finish all the others have... Safe to say Taiwan?
:wtf:

Thanks. Here are two 12mm. One is 6 point, 910A, marked Italy. the other is 12 point, 910B, marked Beta only.

I have other 12 point sockets that are marked Italy. Only this one is not...

@kissmeiamgerman: It would look good with your sweet wera set. Oh, and you got lucky the seller did not offer w.w. shipping. Great deal!

Locking pliers, I need suggestions!
Local stores carry Irwin, even few USA made Irwin's left for "bargain" price, about $33 for 6-7" pliers. While it is not important to beat this price I think I could get good (even better) quality on ebay. Any old world ideas? :pimpflash

Strange. If I remember correctly all Beta sockets I have seen over the years do have mirror chrome finish. Similar to the -non Italy- one you have. How old are they? Again, if I remember correctly Beta has not been easy to figure out regarding COO (no reply to emails e.t.c) I have also noticed similarities between Facom and Beta (i.e similar combination wrenches in similar clips, ratchet wrenches e.t.c) .

According to UK farnell website some Facom sockets are made in Taiwan and they have mirror finish. Don't know if some conclusions can be drawn from this though. :headscrat

A few suggestions for locking pliers:

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48722

I have an old US made Vise-Grip my father gave me several years ago that has held up well. I also have a newer Husky locking pliers, no COO markings, but I suspect Taiwan. I've had them for a couple of years, and they are not as battle tested as the Vise-Grips, but have held up well enough. But I am sure you will get more interesting suggestions in the above thread.

Interesting. I assume you have a set, all purchased together? Mine came from several ebay sellers, so it is not too surprising. Maybe the unmarked socket is from a Beta Easy set as Olafur suggests?
