Yeah, that was all the way back in page 65:
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=705122&postcount=1282

Good catch on the Lee Valley free shipping promo.....I noticed it the other day. Show us the pics when you receive your goodies. :)

Wow that was a long time ago. I just happened to notice it when looking up something on the site. I almost placed an order a month ago but shipping would have been like 1/4 of the order price so I waited until they had an offer like this. I'm looking into placing another order next week but not sure what all I'll get...

ahhh no i´m too lazy :D maybe if something should happen i´ll change my mind :D

Dear Monte,

Please change your mind NOW.

There is a nice thread on the Russian MasterCity site, "Death from the Grinder" (over 80 pages) with some nice pictures and amazing stories.

A lot of horrible accidents happened just after dropping grinder still connected to the power outlet.

Hazet 180-8 and 180 K-4. I really like the quality and style but it is too small. The bottom wagen was full the same day I got it, the top one, which I got about 6 months later, was full at once too. I'm considering getting a Lista cabinet with wheels. It will have about the double the total drawer area.

nice tools !! My father owns one :) too.
What do you need them daily for ??
Which brand of sandpaper do you prefer ?

For that Bosch sander; Seamless, Awuko, but there is no big difference, seamless is most important.

I find that Mirka makes best sandpaper, I have try many manufacturers products but Mirka has best.

Mirka Jepuflex has least "memory" issues, as paper kind of "repairs" itself while used. If most other papers are damage by stone or metal, paper leaves mark all the way, but Mirka paper is least affected by this.

Here are few examples; Mirka P100, Mirka P24 and (it seems that I ave run out Mirka P16, so here is some other manufacturers paper) P16
attachment.php

I use around 250-300 meters different papers each year.

So what your opinions, it really comfort enough?

Didn't notice that big difference. Think I prefer the 300-series handles.

Thanks for all the videos! I'm thinking about a new angle grinder. Thinking about a 125mm with trigger style switch. Who have a decently priced German (or at least EU) made?

I picked up a few Japanese tools from Level Chrome's latest sale.

Lookin' good!

So, I finally had the time to shoot some images and add the Reilang oilers and pumps to my Ebay store. I added the english translations to the text and if there are any further questions please ask. I will combine shipping but Ebay doesn't offer the right settings to organize that for international transactions. So if you are in doubt please ask before using that store.

If I'd like to ask you for a quote, do you want a PM, mail or how?

Wow, super nice! So envious!

Bought another tool for the apartment renovation. A Bahco paint scraper. Sorry for worse pics than usual. Missed taking pictures before it got used though.

Great color as well. If you are interested in a second 180-8 in silver at a gret price, I just decided to sell all my stock of Assistents. I am moving to a larger warehouse next month and I have figured that selling off all those heavy items rather than moving them first and then selling them makes more sense...lazy me ;-)

Soft hammer... A eternal struggle between efective hammer and how much it hurt your hand after you hit it... :bounce:

That´s why i only use soft face hammers, it hurts less than steel hammers :)

Naaaa.. Even though it would look cool it would not help. There are too many drawers already and having the double amount of drawers will only add to the confusion. When I decide to do something about it it will be a Lista cabinet on wheels. It will reduce the number of drawers slightly but will almost (or maybe more than) double the storage space. I have a stationary Lista cab in almost the same size I want. I plan on having the roller version higher though as it's not used as much as a work surface. Will post picture of the one I have when I get home.
Lista is still old world, and bang in the middle of top-quailty countries too :D

Before you open it...will you sell that to me?

i won´t open it, it´s more than 20 years old so it stays how it is :)
i could get you one, 7,70€ + 19%sales tax + s+h....

Monte,

Use this link:

http://www.mastercity.ru/showthread.php?t=75697

They use "Bolgarka" as a generic name for grinders.

Historically first grinders came from Bulgaria and Russian workers still use this alias for all grinders.

thanks ! i will look through that ! hmmm 100 pages ...:D

Makita grinders in my area are assembled in USA. :)

over here they don´t have a coo that means China , the others are "Made in the United Kingdom"

Hey Guys, modo here, new member-glad to be a part of it all.Tools is my fetish-seem to have far too many!!! On Beta-for you BCHEE--they make a fine range of tools-big catalogue-and they do a range of mirror polished combi"s as well as the satin finished ones in the pic.Used to be hard to get in USA-amazon had them for a while-but they have a distributor in California now-Procare USA their website is betatoolusa.com-but it shows as under construction-but you can see the catalogue on Beta"s own website which is www.beta-tools.com (sorry don"t know how to put links in--bit of a technophobe).Hope this is useful info and look forward to joining in the forum.

Here's two of my Lista cabinets. When I get around to replacing the Hazet 180 toolwagen the plan is to get a Lista cabinets with wheels. The same width as the left one in the picture but 100cm height instead of the 80cm of this one.

I suppose there isn't even a point in asking if anyone wants to see the insides of the Hazet 180, in this thread ? :bounce:

Oh, that's tempting. But I still have the feeling it's not in my price range.

Even the swedish links :) Thanks, knew I could count on you!

I'm thinking about 1000w and around €100. I'm looking for something that I can get a good deal on, not locked on any brand. I have spent some time/money now upgrading my hand tools to better quality, thought it's about time to start with the power tools. Angle grinder and drill first on line.

Old Pferd angle grinder. I have no idea of the age. Maybe the nameplate gives a clue to someone ? Maybe it's 1985 but that doesn't sound right: My father gave it to me a year ago since he figured he wasn't going to do much more heavy grinding, and I can't imagine he bought this in 1985.

Of cource, with each machine/tool you have to try out multiple sandpapers to find what works best. For excample with my old machine I used lot of Sia products, but some grades of paper had odd flaking issue and light grades where really sensitive for odd objects found in working area.
(For casual use, there is really no big diffrence.)

Well I waited ALL summer but it was worth it. I was very patient with chadstoolbox and was rewarded for my patience. They have now sent 3 backorders with 3 Wera items as bonuses. For promotion I suppose though I would like to think it's because I was so very patient. The first backorder they included the mini bit ratchet, that was a couple months ago.

Yesterday I received the Witte hex ball drivers with a bonus Wera 7mm T-handle.

DSC00775.jpg

DSC00773.jpg

Today I received the NWS circlip pliers, SO VERY worth the wait, these things are AWESOME and very unlike others I have seen so far. I love good tools, these are so much nicer than Snap-on or the others. The bonus today was a very nice insulated small screwdriver, which is perfect for things like fixing my home alarm system. It's a perfect first insulated screwdriver to have.

for 100€ i think it won´t work. A regular slide switch grinder, yes. Metabo WQ1000 for example or Makita 9565HZ1, Bosch GWS 1000...

Thanks Monte! I like the Lista solutions a lot. I have a storage wall too, if anyone is interested in seeing that.

:lol_hitti The 180 and the 180 K-4 on top of is it full off course! There's even 1 or 2 Hazet tool in there ;) I'll start taking pictures when I get home.

1960's makes total sense for the grinder. Must be something my grandfather bought. It's quite a beast. Nice for cutting heavy rebar. Thanks for the help!

Glad you like it :)

Here's a picture of the Storage wall. Sadly it is too tight in there for any good pictures.
The wall is 3 sections. Depth is 706mm. The two sections to the right are 2,5m high, the left one is 2,0m high. The width of the sections are (L to R): 1190mm, 1020mm and 1428mm.
