Here's an old European turntable I bought back in the 70's....design was way ahead of its time. Almost sold it a few years ago on Craigslist until some clown asked if he could play his CD's on it. I hope he was kidding.

bo4002.jpg

Wow you always have the coolest euro stuff. :) So where was it made and is there any chance of a video of it playing music? :) I used to have a US made record player that contained valves(vacuum tubes) that were made in England. I picked it up from my high school in 2006 as they were throwing it out.

Germans make one of the best watches as well, check out my Glashutte

Nice. :) I've been looking at getting a stainless Rolex next year. :)

Here is my favorite tool, one that I use every day.

wow thats a cool looking sander !!!!
When i helped my cousin to renovate his house they used a "Bona" sander (Bona edge i think). Pretty cool loking tool too in chrome/red. I thought it was from the USA from the 1960´s :)

Bona bought out Örebro and modern Örebro sanders are under Bona name. Both are made in Sweden. (Örebro is name of town where machines are made, Golvindustri or "floor industry" is huge name for comppany as it is not so huge in real life. I think most American have bigger garage then "floor industry" in Sweden.)

Its an old B&O 4002. Was actually on display at the Museum of Modern art years ago. Fortunately, it was not damaged in my warehouse flood back in March like a lot of my other audio equipment.

There electronics (Bang & Olefson, Denmark) has always been ahead of its time with regard to design. I've used it and have seen it installed in several garage projects over the years. Here's an old radio/CD changer from approx 10 years ago....

Chassi is same on both machines, Modern motors have that electronic startup that is constantly broken, I prefer original ignition switch, with manual accelation.

Btw. dust free is not first word that comes in mind, maybe next time; Take the chord out from bag and tie it upp around bag, seperately.
Vacuum tube is little bit thiner in highest point and when you pull ******* bag down, it comes airtight.

btw. found some pics of the tools we used for the parquet

they actually are same machines.

When you work every day with these machines, you tend to take all non-important part out, sander comes more nimble.
I can't send pictures from my smaler sander or (edge sander?) it is 30 years old and most people would consider it dangerous, so many parts are now missing.

Here are pictures from my normal day job, both typical, made with machine shown in this post and only with it, no other machines had been used.

weird, im guessing its some sort of display/promo item? looks cool tho, never seen craftform handles in that colour

That was my thought, and clear handle to show the tang.

I could see using it for a grip test, one guy on each side trying to spin it out of other guy's grip.

Its interesting it says this as its very over priced and is my worst performing(no AM/MW reception without an antenna, CD player leaves a lot to be desired in features, not made in Denmark, etc.) radio. It does look great though.

Only thing that goes to the radio thats from the old world(music is from America back when we put out stuff worth listening to. :))

That's right buddy!

Ok, back on track now. *Whistle*

Edit: Forgot some pics of a small Geilo (of Norway) screwdriver. Probably from the 60's or early 70's.

Hence my motto: The good old stufff is always better :)

post some pics :) in this thread it´s allowed even if it´s dangerous :) ;)
Do you know where they get the motors from for the "Edge" sanders ? I looked under the housing and it seems they use a large angle grinder motor to power the machine !?

Here are pictures from my normal day job, both typical, made with machine shown in this post and only with it, no other machines had been used.

wow that looks good !!!

Monte clear your private messages ;).

ok :)

yes there is one left in the old package with coo, the other come in new plastic package without coo. They have several Bailey/Stanley wood chisels in old and new package with dark and light wooden handles, some with "Sheffield England" on the blade others with "Made in England with global material" (iirc) on the package.

Edit: Forgot some pics of a small Geilo (of Norway) screwdriver. Probably from the 60's or early 70's.

exotic brand !

When I was very young I seen a similar Stanley tape measure at some store and it had a chain and key ring. For some unknown reason I just had to have it and bugged my mother and grandmother about it all the time. They found this used at a yard sale and I didn't like it(no key ring) so eventually my grandmother got me the one I wanted for Christmas it didn't last a day. lol This one on the other hand worked and I kept over the years and still have it.

I have old ones that have way more torque then modern one's, I mean; when you use P16 paper and sand some 100 years old paint off... With old machine you can just barely hold on it, if not familiar these machines it can flip you over it. :D

I ordered some Beta wrenches in sizes I did not have, to complete my sets. 8mm (marked Italy) and 18mm combo/ratcheting), 21mm and 22mm. Each wrench has a diff. finish :)
I also picked up some Beta snap ring pliers, and some Stahlville 1/4 extensions.
Nice ! Beta fans?

The Wurth has a smaller diameter at the end of the driver where the cap is. The Wurth also has bigger "bulges" in the handle:

yeah i guess garden scissors ! I only cut some paper to test it and it works :)
If you need something for garden work ...:)

it comes with rubber heads. But you can exchange them with different types of heads: hard rubber, soft rubber, nylon, copper, aluminium, hard plastic etc...

http://www.halder.de/produkte/artgroup.asp?menu=296&submenu=products&k=5&s=us&g=17

i only cut some paper and 0,75mm² and 1,5mm² cable with it, it cuts very good and very easy without much pressure. Blades seem to be very sharp.
They´re a bit cheaper, in germany the list price for 160mm side cutters in finish #19 is 15.30€ for finish #69 €17.40 and for finish #49 €20.00. (VDE = €22.80) all prices + tax.

another pic for you :)

or Felo :)
But i think it´s made by Wiha.
The older Promat is made by Wiha too i think, the basic handle shape looks like that and the blades looks like Wiha too.

Oh I see..Thanks for nice PIC Felo and Wurth comparison:beer::thumbup::thumbup:

Owned a many tools such a garden scissors for specific jobs make my happy :bounce:

Thank for a explanation about Halder hammer and useful link:beer:

Not bad..NWS always focus a quality even for a low prices series:thumbup:
Nice comparison PIC :beer::thumbup::thumbup:
good prices at germany but here we have to add a shipping cost:mad:

I am agree Promat = Wiha:)

Btw: very nice painting jobs:bowdown:

Picked up TOP ratchets in 3/8 and 1/2 from Levelchrome's recent sale. They feel robust to say the least, very positive ratcheting action. Not as easy spinning as Facom/SK palm control ratchets, but feel a lot more solid when really putting the power down. I-beam neck feels really stiff.

I really like the 1/2" ratchet, it's head is considerably smaller than a 1/2" SK, it's the same diameter as the TOP 3/8". Basically a 1/2" in a 3/8" head, but what really does it for me is the built in quick spinner!!!

The handles remind me of a lower profile Craftsman raise panel. I almost wonder if TOP produced the Japanese Craftsman of yester year. These will be going in the truck tool kit, they give a feel of confidence.

Congratulation!
awesome made JIS ratchet:thumbup:

Here's my first order from Harry Epstein..
Some French goodness.. Facom|France 19mm combo, 22mm x 24mm box, a couple of screwdrivers. Some SK (made in France) Pozi drivers.
Bahco (France) pliers
A Taiwanese multimeter to replace my crappy Radio Shack model.
And last but not least, some NOS US made pliers, SK, Crescent and Wilde.
I also picked up a tool roll which is a bargain at $7 and very nice!
A great first experience with HE. Fast shipping and great selection of tools.

Nice shopping:drool:

Gedore soft face hammer
Nice!
Gedore made it own hammer or Habero made for them like Rotband-Plus series?

Just started a 17mm 1/2" drive socket collection :)
Nice!
Go on buddy:thumbup::thumbup:

The content of the Hazet 180 and the more interesting Lista drawers.
Sorry for any **** not from the Old world. The Sunex sockets is from Taiwan, don't know if that is old world..
Speechless:thumbup::drool::bowdown::thumbup::shocking:

Monte,

Never thought I'd consider an angle grinder could look good to the eye
(really, they don't have to be :D) ... but that Suhner angle grinder I gotta say looks pretty darn good. ....love the colour combination.

Mr. Tools,

That's quite the level, and it's the first time for me to hear that company.
Thanks for showing us.

They are geared towards the machinist trades, and built in Niigata prefecture  : RSK

Ok Monte get me pics and I'll tell you what I want(looks like I'll be doing my personal Christmas shopping early this year...) :)

I really like old Stanley, I held the brand in high regards when I was a kid(in the 90s.)

i will see if they will allow me to take pics but i doubt it.

I have old ones that have way more torque then modern one's, I mean; when you use P16 paper and sand some 100 years old paint off... With old machine you can just barely hold on it, if not familiar these machines it can flip you over it. :D

Monte,

It's made in Argentina? So, it will either steal your other sockets or have *** with them and make little 1/8" drive baby sockets... The latter might be somewhat preferable... :D

Bhae, you could charge for guided tours in your shop after regular hours. More treasures and art there than the rest of Spain I think.

Here's a Bahco 80 tooth ratchet made in Spain. Its internals are the same as a Snap on F80. Nice handle.

Don't forget the (non-German) PB Swiss drivers, which are my personal favorite. Followed by Felo...
