Interesting, Brasil huh?

I got a pile of Stahlwille wrenches and sockets for sale going into the classifieds shortly.

I'll post a comparison between the Stahlwille wrenches, Armstrong, Snap on and some Spanish stuff I got.

Exotic measuring instrument:thumbup:
do you plan to open a tools museum:D

Thanks.
Yes it's highly functional.
As for the quality, I am not an expert but I think it is very good. Νot as good as on my old nws, but nothing to the functionality.
The edges are not smooth.
I love the industrial appearance.
Good:thumbup:
I think it a normal edges/surface for a tools made over 20 years rough built. But I'm sure a material is awesome

Ok :) There is a Volvo dealer(heavy trucks) in my community do you think they could/would get me those items? Or should I order online?

According to my parts guy, no, as the car and truck dealers are totally separate and can only supply parts for their own division. Can try though.

What the hell do you want it for?

Sorry if this has been covered.
Been lurking on these forums for a while.

How do you guys, the ones overseas, get tools.
Do you have tool trucks like we do in the states?
Or do you have to order everything and wait for it to be shipped to you.

@greesha : Welcome on board:) In France we don't have tool trucks in big cities. Sometimes in smaller villages you can meet the Facom truck coming every month. Formyself, i mostly buy my tools online or in some local shops.

I already saw it at my local tool shop:)

The flat tyre wrenche is a must have in every tool box, it could be very usefull in many situations:thumbup:. This 500mm Heyco is a good one, not too light (~645 Gr) and very stiff due to its "H" construction. I bought it 2 years ago and I paid Eur 16,- if i remenber correctly. If you're looking for something stronger, try the tyre wrenche with a "S" profile.
Stahlwille make some very good.

By "S" profile, i mean this :

Not chromed, not shiny but a strong hardening process:shocking:

Made in France in 60's (i think).

Nice:bounce: I don't have any Hazet drivers, but i always considered them:thumbup:
Also, cool badge:drool: Jens is a nice guy to deal with:thumbup:

it´s not my car, but the oil change should have be done 1000 KM before, i think (iirc) thats what the on-board computer said.
No continental car ? :) try Audi

The body shop I work at was built in 1967 and the owner had(has) a hard time throwing away anything. Found a few gems, mostly body hammers. Yesterday I actually found a toolbox with a leading kit in it, buried under literally 1" of body shop dust :bounce:

Some 32mm Wrenches from a recent haul with a well used Snap on for comparison in size.

The Stahlwille is by far the thinnest at about 1/4" thick (0.245 on my calipers).

The Wright is the thickest at a whopping 0.421, almost double the Germans.

The Belzer is a little thicker but feels better then the Wright to me.

The #1 is in fact a very dark green, but showed up as very nearly black in my pictures.

nice ! Sounds like a shop full of treasures !!! Pics ! :D

The Wright wrench looks good !

Here's one I prepared earlier...:)

I'm afraid it didn't perform to well. Edges dulled quite quick. Make sure you keep your cutting to below 1mm copper if you want it to last.

yeah i noticed mine has 1,30mm cutting capacity so i will stay below that

Stick to German stuff Monte! Or try a bit of USA :)

:) ok :)
The drop forged Knipex cutters from ball bearing steel are on my wish list :)
I also would like to try the Knipex "super Knips" pliers.
The Tronex pliers look purdy but like other american brands it´s difficult to impossible to find over here (except Stanley + Irwin...)

Picked up these NOS NWS 205mm long combi pliers:

Hi, and welcom to forum.
Same thing here; We have tool stores/shops, only Snap-on is sold from van, (and that is why I saw first Snap-on tool few months ago, you can't sell any if customers have to play hide-and-seek with mobile shop.)

Generally good tools are rare in here, for example you can't find used tools, because tools where so expensive earlier and now when tools can be found cars are so complex that normal people can not do anything to repair them.
Biltema sells tools, it is basicly like Harbour Fright, many people are happy with those tools and if one rarely use tools, they work just fine.

Folks here are talking Lindströms? I understan Lindström make today tools for jewelry industry.
I took group photo from NOS Gedore pliers (I spend compleat 8€ for those...), compare to new ones and my mighty Lindströms.

attachment.php

What photo does not show, Lindstöms are machine very well and have mirror finish on them, but no chrome plated.

Yes, mine has 1.3mm on it as well.:) Higher current devices like power diodes or power FETs/Transistors seem to have a bit stronger materials in their legs than a plain old resistor or copper wire. Even at this rated diameter, they get damaged on these devices. :headscrat

best Facom wrench design so far

Then i will only use them with copper wire ! Thanks for the hint !
They would be quite useful to cut of transistors etc. because of the flush cutting edge....but..... well....
