Variety is the spice of life. Long handle, flex head Snap On - pretty nice piece. :) But yeah, mostly Hazet used there :) There is also a Beta socket, cheapo stuff and Gorilla Bar.

That´s right, i was just klidding :)

btw. flex head ratchet...:

Could you measure a couple of things if you have time ?
[Length of the joint area (red), width of the joint (blue), thickness of the joint (green), height of the joint (yellow)]

and a long reach olfa xl knife (not sure what its purpose is) from japan with a volvo part number stuck on :p

glass/windshield removal tool ?

My Gedore hammers finally came in. A 45mm recoilless hammer and a 300g engineers hammer. Should work great on the car.

nice !!!

Blue - 10.59
Green - 5.28

ah ok i see ! A new car is a waste of money anyway...
I never owned any Audi, my father buys Audi´s since ever. Currently he owns a 2008 Audi A4 Avant. Before he had the older A4 Avant version , prior to that a Audi 100 2.8 ("C4" model) sedan, prior to that a Audi 100 Avant (C3) prior to that a Audi 100 Avant (C2) and prior to that i can´t remember because i wasn´t born yet :D :) I think a VW Käfer (bug).
What car do you have ? Proton ? Perodua ?
Woww!! your father really like Audi..awesome car but this car appears only in my dream Zz..zzz.zz:thumbup:
you know Malaysian car :shocking: Proton and Perodua.. I'm very impress where did you found it, Internet or you saw it at Germany streets?
I have no Malaysian car and did not plan to buy one:dunno:

yes their recip saws are all from china now.....
:(

Sometimes you still can see old handles but you can´t get a complete collection of old handles anymore. Sometimes you see the old black/yellow ones too.
I don´t know if i should be lucky, here it´s cold right now you still have 25 degrees celsius i guess :)
sometimes in Germany not Malaysia:willy_nil
:pimpflash
here a ambient temperature around 30 to 36 degrees celcius;)
25 degree celsius if raining:thumbup:

Beta 34 Flat Chisels and Beta 36 Cape Chisels

Of cource; Made in Italy, as these are again from 1980's. What a shame that biger flat chisel is used bit too much. Cape chisels are unused.

I just love that chrome finish.

Quality utility knives at an affordable price : that's what i like:beer:

It your favorite hammer, can you give your opinion about oscar hammer? I'm looking a good one to replace my old hammer.

Actually i don't have any favorite hammer. This Osca is a good club hammer, the aluminium shaft inserted into the plastic handle is a smart idea. It also have the Safety label "GS" (Geprüft sicherheit).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geprüfte_Sicherheit

Not all Osca hammers have this label, so it made me confident about buying this one:thumbup:

Tools after action? Did an oil change on the 993 this weekend, and here was a pile of stuff that I used.

Wow, a Po-po-Porsche seviced with nice quality tools:drool:

Ahhh old school Italian Beta's, thanks for sharing:beer:

Nice hammers:thumbup: Gedore/Habero really make high end products.

Since we're talking about hammers : Picard 300 gr hammer.

Thanks for the vid Monte. Nice die grinder, me wants,

Badass vise.

Edit: How much €€€ for the grinder?

Edit2: Couldn't find norwegian prices on the DeWalt but the Metabo GE700 is NOK 4000 delivered from norwegian dealer. Around NOK 2000 delivered from toolstop.co.uk. Gee, I wonder...

I haven't had a whole lot of things to use it on yet, but the engineers hammer came in handy when replacing the engine lid shocks on my 911 yesterday. As far as hammers go, it's pretty comfortable in the hand and is well designed. The 300g hammer is pretty tiny, but it definitely has its uses. I'll probably order a larger version the next time I get something from Gedore.

Here are some close up pictures of the hammers. Since we're talking about things from Germany, I included a picture of the 911.

If you can get the part number of what you're after, any Volvo main dealer should sell to you over the counter. (May be trade only.) If not, shout me and my mate will get them.
might have to take you up on that offer, as it looks to be a pita to get them from my work (long story)

glass/windshield removal tool ?

quite possibly, i guess its to reach between somewhere inaccessible, you can buy them direct from olfa tho

http://www.olfatools.eu/product.php?id_product=25

ok some pics i meant to post ages ago, firstly ones of the inside of the Gedore ratchet i promised weeks ago, nicely made, and has 3 positions its in the center position there, completely locked but its a bit unbalanced imho, handle is a bit light compared to the head and a little course (34 tooth?) so once i get it back together it will be up for sale

IMG_0595.jpg

and a bonus one of it next to a pair of unknown manufacturer German made pointed pliers

IMG_0597.jpg

set of habero pin punches, not had the chance to use these but will come in handy the plastic guard saves bashing your hand if your being clumsy :p (there small diameter ones)

IMG_0598.jpg

IMG_0601.jpg

IMG_0619.jpg

old Moore and wright micrometer, made in Sheffield England :D not sure when its from, maybe 70's? really good nick, just a bit of patina on the painted part, looks to have been well looked after.

IMG_0617.jpg
couple of Italian tools :D (ok one isn't really a tool)

IMG_0616.jpg

"Spid" wire brush, made by Fit (I'm not sure, not really heard of them,)

bought it to replace the 1.99 made in china one i got on ebay which lasted a day before the handle fell off

wasn't a lot more either and far better quality, didn't realize it was made in Italy when i ordered it tho

IMG_0618.jpg

and secondly not really a tool but made in Italy all the same Beretta gun oil, sadly don't own a Beretta.. or any gun (i'm in the UK remember) unless you count a replica colt 1911 co2 gun?, but i use it to clean and oil tools, keeps them from rusting :)

and lastly a recent purchase, a huge 30mm hazet 600 series spanner marked made in W- Germany so fairly old, I don't really have a regular use for it, but it looked cool, and was a steal at £6 or so
that's it next to my bose sound dock (made in Mexico :p)

IMG_0634.jpg

IMG_0636.jpg

i also got a nice set of green Matco branded Witte protop screwdrivers from the van, ill get pics soon, don't think Witte sell green handled ones directly?

Its my grandfathers footlocker from when he was in the Army in WW2. I keep almost all the old tools I have in it. :) All are American made except for a few European things. :) Someday(when I get a photo hosting account with no bandwidth...) I'll get detailed pics of everything inside. Some tools date back to 1800's...

I didn't notice any, but will check again.
According to Facom, their toolboxes, including the extending toolboxes (cantilever) are made at the Fano, Italy plant.
Everything seems to indicate Italy.

Good transformation Jopi:thumbup:

NOS Facom long nose pliers. 70's:pimpflash

Part time job, no. I do it for free. Also I really like taking pics. So far I've taken around 1500 this year...

I'm glad you like them, I'm hoping to get Bosch dealer, True Value, a mom and pop shop in next county, Divisions and some others soon. :)

I have the Engineer PZ-58 and it is brilliant for screws and plugs and other stuff that can be hard to get a grip on. I'm VERY pleased with that buy.
And nice Facom pliers.

Small one is steel and the large one is aluminium...Its made in Great Britain. :)...Nice retro Facom. :)

Awesome hammer
I should add this on my wish list:bounce:
Btw: thank to share knowlage and PICS:beer:

Awesome:drool: where you bought this?

I bought the red one from a retired old guy who lives in my area ( Eur 15,-). The 90's Facom with balck handles belongs to my father.

mhhh the new one looks better (imho) nice industrial "machined" look...

Yes, the new look is really nice. It's just that now I want them all to look like that. :)

Made a video about the Fein "QuickIn" system:

Looks quite easy.

Mora knife is traditional knife, I think most people in norden countrys have cut them self first time as children, with Mora knife.

Yep, had one since as long as I can remember!

Knifes. Mora. Sweden.

Nice stuff!

Facom cantilever toolbox.. made in Italy. Just arrived today, plus some Facom, PicQuic and Megapro screwdrivers, SK and Snapon sockets, Cornwell 3/8" ratchet and SK 1/2" ratchet. Big haul today...:bounce:

DeWalt D28886 die grinder
710 Watt, speed dial (7000 - 27000 rpm), constant electronic, spindle lock

Even more grinding powertools! You have a problem my friend! :D

Some new ratchets, both custom made...
I got myself another old Bahco with broken handle, and Snap-on dealer stopped by at my workplace, so...

Super cool!

Kinda a small store by US standards, how does it compare to the ones over there?

That looks just like the LIDLs that are here in sweden (we don't have Aldi). German supermarkets has a layout that is quite peculiar to a swede at least. The design of the product packaging and such is also very special.

Yummy!

What is difference between Aldi and Lidl, does one top other or are just like burger restaurants, with same ****, different pagage?

btw: time to time Lidl offers really good tool, some times not.

Some Saturday Facom goodies from Ultimategarage.com.. the box was on sale for $5. I should've bought two.

PH1 and PH2 Screwdrivers and a 1/4" socket storage box, all made in France.

Picked both these up in the last 24 hours, I've been looking for a good basic drill to send back to my brother who is just in need something for around the house. I paid $20 for the switzer and $45 for the german. Now I can't decide which one to send him...

That rifle is sorely lacking in the safety-lock department.
Here is how it should look:

S=Safety on
E=Single shot
F=Family (full auto)

:bounce::bounce:

Wow how did you get that? If its a legal one it must have been like $10,000... :shocking:

I have a torch from Lidl, parts of it have an interesting design to them while other parts are very cheaply made, finish is cheap paint and its made in China...

Whats some of the good stuff?

Edit: How much €€€ for the grinder?

Edit2: Couldn't find norwegian prices on the DeWalt but the Metabo GE700 is NOK 4000 delivered from norwegian dealer. Around NOK 2000 delivered from toolstop.co.uk. Gee, I wonder...

The DeWalt had a list price of 309.-€ + tax, Metabo 299.- + tax. The Dewalt tool was discontinued in 2009 or 2010. There also was a "Metabo GE 700 Basic" without spindle lock for a lot less. For example:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Metabo-Grads...imwerker_Elektrowerkzeuge&hash=item4aafe00b5d
I paid 130.- + tax for mine from a plumbers store (it seems plumbers dont need die grinders :) )
Usually the prices for power tools are much lower in England than in continental Europe. So i would look there... (different plug though) (and they have 110 + 240 Volt)

Today's haul..
Japan and Germany

screw pliers

"Tools in Action" or "Why I like Hazet"

(this is my girl, so don't repost ;) )

more pics please :) (without tools is ok too:D ;))

Some new ratchets, both custom made...

nice ! First Bahco/snap-on custom ratchet !!

Bought online, Germany, Schuebo.

thx !

I'm not a big fan of DeWalt electric tools, but this one looks very well made:thumbup: And the yellow color is even cooler than Metabo's green:drool:

me neither :)
hmm i dunno.... i thought about getting the Metabo body parts :)

*snip*
Thank you. The cheapest versions seem to be on par price wise between Norway and UK but once you step up a model or two there's a huge difference.
Plug adapter is available locally so that's no problem. It is tempting to take advantage of the strong kroner and score me a Metabo PSE1200 recip saw and a Metabo GSE700 die grinder. :D
