I think both version of adjustable wrenches haven't the coo. Thanks Monte.

nice (comparison) pics !
The ratcheting indeed is rougher compared to all other wrenches, but it also feels "Stronger" somehow. In a recent Gearwrench thread someone showed a pic of the package which said that the Gearwrench ratcheting wrenches are "Precision tools not intended to free frozen fasteners" (or so) but the Gedores feels like they can do that :)

Yes I agree! Somehow it gives you the feeling that is very strong.

Today I used it a little and I'm very satisfied with it. I think I'll buy the entire set, or the most common sizes at least. :)

That Gedore adjustable wrench has a sort of unpleasant aesthetic design to it....IMO. I couldn't see that getting approved past the design department at the German headquarters.
I don't mean to flak on your tool, Lok, just my observation. :D
Don't worry superaoutobacs, I can not even understand what the "flak on your tool" means. (but I can guess :lol_hitti).

It's simply a matter of taste. Besides, the appearance is subjective. Personally I can not say that is pretty but neither so ugly. It has a better appearance in the real world than in a photo. I guess! :headscrat

At first I was between this and the iregka . Ηard decision (for me at least :D) . I chose this because it seems to be very robust and the grip is actually very comfortable.

Sure. :) I can shoot on my front porch, in the front yard or the woods(except this time of the year as all my neighbours are out hunting.) Also I have access to the range owned by Dupont as my dad retired from there but I only visit it maybe once a year.

hunt the neighbours :D

The non-reversible ones that are made in China are manufactured with poor tolerances. The mechanism has a lot of unneccessary play in them and that's likely a big contributor to lock-ups. The Taiwanese ones are better, especially the ones made by Kabo. The mechanism has less play and little backlash.

i wonder why companies produce such products when they give lifetime warranty ?.... Must cost them a lot of money on the long run ?!?
...and Kabo is difficult to find....

hopefully they are because i want to buy a set in 2012 :)

they offer nice little sets with the most common sizes (8,10,13,17,19mm)

Keine bilder gefunden but I looked it up on wikipedia and found this.

"The unique combination of German and Chinese architecture in the city centre, combined with German demographic roots and a large Korean expatriate population, gives Qingdao a distinct atmosphere. A larger number of areas in former foreign styles are well preserved. Although the new city area is under large-scale reconstruction, the old city area (especially Taixi) still retains some traditional buildings."

Also I remember one of the asian girls I talk to telling me that in China(or South Korea? :headscrat) theres a place just like Venice. :)

New Bahco file today. Made in Portugal. The black part on the new handle is a bit stickier than the old handle.
These any good? Seem to be the only ones available here that aren't from China. Not looking forward to the $20US I'll have to pay for each one though! lol

@Lok,

Yup, it's subjective for sure.
The important part is that you're happy with it.

For Apex/Danaher/Sata China, selling quantity over quality prevails. :D Perhaps it's more costly to them to produce quality over quantity. They can easily absorb the costs associated with warranty claims. Maybe ? :dunno:

Kabo....maybe you can source some from Pedros, Berner (some), or Ega Master.

Is there any thread on the forum, Web Shops? I wanted a list of European sites where i can buy tools.

in Portugal also able to buy some tool minimally good as FACOM and beta, do not know what zone you are, but looking on google for TED is where I usually buy, has a shop in Lisbon and another in the business of tobacco, unfortunately the market Portuguese is a real shame for those who are fond of this type of market, so even the last solution ebay.cumps

There are many architects from Europe and America etc. who design and build houses and even complete cities there i guess that´s why there are similarities :)

Yeah i think you´re right, their company is so big and they probably sell millions of these wrenches so a few returns don´t bother them.

Kabo....maybe you can source some from Pedros, Berner (some), or Ega Master.

i think i´ll stick with Gedore :)

That was an awesome film. So many things I liked. :) I didn't know they had production in Solothurn(a long time ago one of my favourite guns the MP34 was made in Solothurn and its one of the few I can't legally own... :( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP34) Also I liked the watch making and production scenes(are there any more Bosch films like that?)

What level do Americans get, equivalent to 'green' DIY tools?

Are the 'blue' Professional tools available in America?

All the Bosch tools here are blue. One rule of thumb is to look for part of the tool to be silver coloured metal and on DIY grade it will be plastic and possibly black.

I sure hope they are good. They cost a few bucks here too. :D

A bit of a non-answer this but I can't say I've noticed any lesser performance than other 'pro' brands I've used. But I've also used no-brand stuff that seemed ok. Occasional use though so no long term hard use comparison.

Awesome, thanks for sharing.

Bosch only sells the blue line in the USA. I think "Skil" is the american "Bosch green" equivalent

if you click here:

I also posted videos of Bosch rotary hammer and garden tool production in this thread a while ago....

That SKG screwdriver handle with the hex is a different idea. Does anyone know if the hex is part of the blade or just stuck in the handle? Still a novel concept.
