^^^love the le creuset stuff. My wife and I have our kitchen pretty much outfitted with that stuff....in the same color too! Amazing kitchen ware. Dropped into the outlet on the way back from a trip south last spring and we discovered that they now make plates and bowls. Needless to say we're now sporting a full 8 place settings worth of it!

Are the plates and bowls made in France? I seen some Le Creuset serving dishes and wooden spoons but they were chinese.

Don't remember if you told me about that drill but its definately on my wishlist.

to be honest I'm not sure but I think I saw 'France" on them when I was helping the wife get the tags off the bottom. I'll check when I go home. I do remember seeing "china" on a couple of their wooden kitchen "gadgets" come to think of it. i have to say though, their silicone spoons and spreaders/spatulas are the best I've ever used. I bought one of their long silicone pastry brushes for BBQ sauce. cleans up much easier than a traditional brush.

Jonnesway 8mm XZN (1/2") made in Taiwan at NOK 103 and no-name impact driver (1/2") made in Taiwan at NOK 139. Gotta dig the metal box.

Don't know the overall quality of Jonnesway tools but it took well to being hammered into one of the bolts that had a mangled head.

Both bought and used today on a VW Passat.

Well, it involved a rusted stuck cotter pin, a big hammer and me. Must have hit in a slight angle.

i wonder if only the "Bauhaus-Matador" tools are imported now or the non Bauhaus stuff too ? We have some Matador wrench sets in rectangular plastic boxes, upon closer inspection wrenches in one box were marked "HR" which is a brand from India ...

I don't know, since Bauhaus is my only source of Matador so. It's sad, since Matador was a simple way to get a quick fix of German tools

Totally shocking, indeed.

... i have to say though, their silicone spoons and spreaders/spatulas are the best I've ever used. ...

Although I don't have any yet, the Le Creuset silicone gadgets had one of the highest heat resistant numbers of all the other brands I've seen.
I'm a happy user of two Le Creuset pots though.

In fact I don't know. But I suppose that this process occurs during production to verify the quality and the fitness of the jaws. According to Gedore the jaws of the spanners are given their exact dimensions only after the hardening process. So I guess that this happens after the thermal treatment and and perhaps after the Shot blasting. You can see the Production stages here. click

Are those as cheap as they are here? I mean for that money, it will beat many real brand names. I got two of those, just for keep all loose items. I hve being very happy for those toolcabinets.

The bottom is 1999:- (€220) and the top 1499:- SEK. They're about the cheapest "normal size" boxes I have found. And having felt them in the store, I'd say they're about normal quality. Felt much better than the Wisent ones at Bauhaus.

I have been looking at the new Bahco tool catalog; After looking through it; I find it interesting that some of their tools like the bits and impact sockets... plainly read "MADE IN GERMANY" and some of the sockets say "BELZER" on them... another old German tool company, looks like they are using other OEMs to fill in their tool line.... GERMAN... how can you go wrong with that?

Monte, did Bahco buy BELZER at some point? I know that I have seen vintage tools that were BELZER branded and it seemed to be that the company was on its own at one point. What is the story/history on this? Inquiring minds want to know...

There once was the history of Bahco on the older Bahco website, it´s gone now it seems, but iirc Bahco bought Belzer in 1988. The production went offshore later, the pliers were from france and sweden then, sockets + wrenches from Argentina etc. The Belzer tools were the mechanics brand in red metal cases (socket sets) the Bahco tools for other professions (woodworking etc.) and DIY range (socket sets in orange cases). Belzer once was like the Snap-On of germany but that´s history

I don`t know i didn`t ask for free stuff they just gave it to me. Normally the fair is just for companies/businessmen to find new exporters/importers, wholesalers etc. So i guess they will give you a sample too. I also got them although i was almost the only one without a suit and tie But probably in most cases because we had a nice "chit-chat" and it also could help in case of the free Grip-on tool that i had a package of one of their first tools with me when Grip-on still was named "Arpes" 23 or 24 years ago...

yes they did but i was too late They already had several twisted (Bondhus) and broken (wera) L-keys laying around there.
The Channellock driver has absolutely no play. There is just plastic "inside" no metal clamp like the traditional ones (which also have no play - at least "Belzer" brand (new) and very little play - Wiha (used))

ps: nice Beargrip driver ! Lucky guy ! They just changed the handles ! They now look like the Athlet branded ones

yes there are several No.7 wrenches, normal style but also "XL", the finish is very durable and should last a very long time.

I bought this Athlet letter opener along with some Torx drivers last year. So, i believe it's still in their catalogue.

Used to work in a food manufacturing plant doing imaging R&D. Got to know what the automation and electrical stuff looked like.

So i tried it with a cheapo "Budget" brand wrench because i was bored

Overall the tool seems to be well made, the SDS mechanism is a great idea, the tool is not too fat, it comes with a metal gear case so the quality seems to be good, ...nice tool... - hard times for the Multimaster

Hi there, new to this great site and thought someone here might have some info on these Wagener spanners.

These ring open enders in the pics are what I would call a short series spanner. They are stamped Germany.
The double open enders I have I would also call short series.They are stamped W Germany.

I have owned (what is left of the full set I bought) for about 24 years. It`s the only set I have come across in Australia.

Is this brand still around ?
Were they rated as being any good? (Not that that really maters as I have pushed them hard and they have served me well).

I have a difference set of Wiha tools in same carrying posh but a posh mark Made in China yours??

I took out the tools and looked for a label and its made in China. I was hoping it was made in Switzerland or Germany.

In my area it is highly thought of, its probably the same way in Ohio. I'm not sure how it is elsewhere as they have a cheap line of powertools and thats probably what most people think of when they hear the brand Ridgid.

I am personally more into Teng Tools but I also own (and love) a few German tools.
My alltime favorite socketset is this Proxxon 1/4"

I also have a Proxxon 1/2" drive wratchet. It's very nice and as you can see it gets used

From WGB I have a full set of open end spanners, the biggest one is a 46/50mm
(in the picture next to an 8mm Teng Tools ring-spanner)

The brand still exist http://www.wagenerwerkzeuge.com/ but i don´t know much about it, my father has some spanners too but i never saw them in a store in my city. I guess it´s just a brand and not a manufacturer.
