What does the "10 sec" (10 seconds ?) mean on the level ?

That mean we have to wait 10 second to make sure a bubble move & stop to indicated a center mark of the level..a bubble move very slow.. it not like usual spirit level it a very high accuracy precision level.

Yes. 10 second accuracy is typical for a master precision level. That is equivalent to .0005 inches per foot or .004mm per meter. Pretty damn precise.

If I didnt know any better (and I probably dont), I'd say Knipex are replying to the NWS FantasticoPlus.

Knipex didn't really have anything similar unless you went bolt cutters or some big handled "high leverage" thing. Be interesting to see what their like with the soft handles.

I bought a Boschhammer GBH 2600 this morning. Made in Germany. Anybody know anything about this model? It has a removable chuck with quick changing keyless tri chuck adaptor. I wanted a 2-26 DRE, but this one was a great deal.

Update to this: it went well! I scored a Assistent 171. It need a good cleaning but other than that its quite solid.

Here is couple of other tools I picked up today. They are Kamasa T-keys with 1/4" and 3/8" drives and the green sleeves have bearings

The GBH 2600 is a special model which don´t appear in the Bosch catalogs or online, it´s sold in their promo flyers mostly through Bosch main dealers. It´s basically a GBH 2-26 DFR in a different colour with slightly less power. Price is very good !

Thanks for the info, Monte. After watcing videos on the internet, I wanted a DFR, but only the DRE is listed on the websites. I'm glad I could find this 2600 with the same chuck system as the DFR. It only has 720W vs 800W, but all the drilling capabilities are the same.

Must be all that blue hammer finish covering the brandings, now I am wondering - do "Zerem" still manufacture , possibly they no longer exist - can't say I have heard of them before.

Now then , somewhere - I must have a ancient Gedore self-grip , somewhere a Draper one of Teutonic I think

PS. The self-grip above the blue one is in fact a Black & Decker , they did a full range of tools from about 1974. Badge engineered , combination spanners & possibly OE + some ratchets looked very like Heyco - have a few still , will sort them out & photograph - you may be able to ID

yeah its a good deal with the exchangeable chuck and a good allround drill for home renovation i think. My father has a old AEG drill with exchangeable chuck which i luckily can borrow

i think the old 2 men method with a bottle and pumping the pedal is still the best.... (and cheapest..)

Can´t find anything recent of this company, they once made weapons it seems and later tools. The latest patents were filed in the 1960´s so i guess the company dont exist anymore. Interestingly "Hazet" was founded by a dude with the name "Hermann Zerver"....

Note the Gedore with the single curved jaw, I obtained that of eBay (seems to have the "Broad-Arrow" with NSN etched on).

The blue Zerem , I obtained that from where I always obtained my Gedore stuff , fooled me - do you think it was blue hammer finish (their house paint) as supplied to Gedore by Zarem ?

I did have a Gedore catalogue but it would be 1980's , seems to have been slung - should always keep old tool catalogues..

PS. any further info. turning up about Zerem - please let me know. Better look after it , retire it to the tool museum

If the paint is original then i guess its the historic blue hammered paint like on Gedore tool boxes and socket cases etc. so i would retire it because the pliers are very old. Never saw painted locking pliers as well as other tools (except pipe/blitz wrenches and a few other tools).

Monte, I am interested in buying pressure pliers. In fact I just bought a stanley that are very cheap (and therefore not the best quality) but they serve their purpose, but I wanted other higher quality, and among the possibilities I have a VISE GRID, but now I read your comment, I have doubts, what negative is the release mechanism used by these brands? I've had on other occasions VISE GRID pliers but as I have used similar models just do not understand at all. Also, excuse my ignorance

Regarding the locking pliers difference: The Vice-grips releases by a pinching two levers together. The other types release by simply pulling on a single (release) lever. The later type makes the releasing task easier, faster, and some would say safer as there's no chance of getting your fingers pinched.

Some would argue that the Vice-grip type is much safer from accidental releasing. I guess that makes sense as one has to pinch two levers to release it. On the other hand, the single lever release type only require one lever for release.
