Yeah, I think that is the consensus.

To me the 440 12pc. set is too expensive (for TW set), for same price I would go with 10pc. Hazet 600 set.

Oh nice, i actually found the exact model i have through that website. Only difference is mine are badged as being made by 'Thomas&Betts'

They also make wire strippers for snap-on and others.

Those are American not Swedish... Not exotic enough. :)

the name is exotic :)

I can't wait. :bounce: I wonder why is it called a lunch box it doesn't look big enough to hold a sandwich also will they have any bigger boxes?

maybe it´s engineered :)lol:) to store a german style sandwich a.k.a. "Brötchen" or "Belegtes Brötchen" :)

It´s a promotional product available from march to august 2012 (iirc) so i guess they only offer this size.

Hello!
Tell me, Facom 440 series (combined key) which is made in France or Taiwan?

since a few years Taiwan.
iirc + afaik all Facom wrenches are from Taiwan nowadays.
You might want to look for Stahlwille etc... :)

Some German power tool goodness. I couldn't imagine life without this saw/vac combo.

Bought Biltema - because the brand we have a rarity. I needed Wrenches with inch size. This is also a rarity in our

Wow. The first time I saw such sets. We are not selling. Are doing in Russia, but Russia does not sell :) Funny.

I understand. Even though it's not top notch it is still a good tool.

Those drills are quite old. Bought them around 2003 I think.

I know "Raggae" but what is raggar ? :D ;)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raggare

The swedish bastardization of Rockabilly, Teddy boy and Greaser culture. They gather in BIG numbers on Power meet... :)

Yeah, as I said, only Bahco is prized here...

it seems the swedish love their tools :)

Yeah, but now they mostly whine about the American **** brand that has bought and destroyed the old Swedish legend. :D

it seems screwdrivers and drill bits don´t like ball bearings :) (or vice versa ) :)

Since I got the ****** bearing off in the end, it was worth it. I can buy more tools (and will! :))

Bahco is also very expensive here compared to other brands. I have 3 hand tools and they were like $50 USD a piece... :eyecrazy:

@Monte can you just buy that box? I like the artwork on it. :)

Here in Sweden Bahco is quite expensive new also. I order most from the UK, there it's cheaper (like half price). I wan't to get some "Snap-on" Bahco stuff, haven't found it though.

Biltema is super popular in Finland so some are very likely to leak over the border. And I can see Russian tourists in Biltema stores almost every time I go there.

If you pass their cheapest offerings you can find quite good stuff actually. Their "10 year warranty" tools are often very usable (and have quite nice finish). I think they come from Taiwan. I especially like their stubby wrenches, ratchetting combos. Also their sockets have very tough surface and are perfect when working outside on bare ground.

In fact many of the tools I use "outside" are Biltema 10 year stuff.

I'll add a photo just for illustrative purposes, even if TW wasn't part of the classical old world and Ptolemy couldn't even dream about it ;)

It is extremely popular here also. My three garage mates all have mostly Biltema tools. I'm quite odd that has a bunch of brand name tools. The mentality is often that the more you spend on tools, the less you can spend on the car.

Before I started buying brand names all my tools were 10 year warranty Biltema. They're very good for the price! I still have much Biltema stuff also, even though I try to keep my hand tools brand name. My flex head ratcheting wrenches for example, and my junkyard kit has Biltema sockets. Avoid the black plastic ratchets though.

So I'm not hating on Biltema, they're great to get a low cost tool set. Just avoid the cheapest stuff. A previous garage mate bought their cheapest big socket set, and that was horrible!

It's funny that it is foreign owned now, since that makes buying Swedish owned Biltema more supportive of Swedish economy than buying Bahco. :scared:
But I'm a ******* and buys from Germany ;)

Its dodgy...not made in Sweden(usually...)

The only Swedish stuff you can get now is saws and scrapers. I have much of the Taiwanese and Argentine socket/ratchet stuff now. I was referring to the 80 tooth ratchets (of famously unknown origin).

Do you mean the Sbahco On ratchets? ;)

EDIT: nevermind. I misread the ebay adds. They were in USA, not Uk.

Prices for the ratchets here: 1/4" 44.90€, 3/8" 55.50€ and 1/2" 60.90€.

You should buy Swiss instead. ;) :D

I seen one of the newer hacksaws and its missing the "Made in Sweden" like that 80 tooth ratchet(The Bahco one is made in spain...) :willy_nil

Nice list, added a few items to my want list. Also is Bahco rebranding the G Man saws?

was it in 1970's?

The thing was; Argentina Bahco was cleary marked as made in Argentina, quality was exactly same, I even suspect metal for Argentina factory came from Sweden. There where very small detail difference between tools made in different continent, but most people can't see them.

Yes it is from aldi. It is a very nice 2 knife set. I really had it sharpen well at a shop. It is great for sushi and fish. And we use the zwilling set for everything else. Germany made, think it was made my wusthof. It was a nice buy at aldi.

Only problem with the other ones are you need to have a long vacuum holes, and a big vacuum. The little guy is battery operated, and you do not need to haul a vacuum around.

Think those krone cutters are rebadge Kline cutters actually. Krone was heavy in telecom wiring blocks in the past. They had allot of punch down cutting tools. I still have ony laying around some where. They did not make to many hand tools that I know off. They are part of adc now. Which is tyco's networking arm.

Very cool to see some modern day wooden handle screwdrivers. Found this tucked away in one of the many toolboxes around the office/warehouse. It was bought in Redwood Minnesota in an english antique shop displayed in a case made in 1880 by Dunhams cocoanut. Polished rosewood and has 6 bits. It still works. It's amazing to handle a tool from that era.
