The usual high quality by NWS, colours by Phoenix Contact. The cutting part of the long nose pliers have a somewhat fallen surface treatment:

When the long nose pliers are squezed hard the tops of the jaws are way-of center:

A question "Tonych". I always had doubts about the retention (for storage) mechanism of the bits. Is it tough?

Well, I don't have long term experience yet but it feels fine to me. Its spring assisted and the release button is recessed into the handle. Bits click into their storage slots and do not fall off by themselves when the handle is open but will it work the same in long run? We shall see.

what kind of spare parts do you need?
I usually try to find the ref number on the part and then google it, last time it was the rotation inversion switch integrated in the trigger of a small bosch drill, but the cheapest place sold it half the price of a new drill, I bought a new one :(
I need the new suppression capacitor and a set of carbon brush.
I will suggested the owner purchase a new one if they are still made in Switzerland or even better Germany made Bosch, actually I don't know a new one COO..

btw: Thanks to shared a detail pics of our awesome drill press:thumbup:

What´s wrong ? cord ?
Yes it one of parts I need to replace but I can find another power cord.
I really need the original suppression capacitor and a set of carbon brush:D

You could send it in:
http://www.bosch-pt.com.my/professional/service/aftersalesservice/aftersalesservice.shtml
or look up the necessary spare part online
http://www.powertools-aftersalesser...prof/service?lgRedirect=true&country=MY&lg=en
and order it through a service center or local Bosch dealer.
Thanks buddy!! the link make my jobs more easier:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

except the chuck and we have a speed dial in the switch. If its the same besides that it might be "Made in Switzerland"

Has anyone else had trouble with NWS comfort grip handles slipping off? I only own one pair and recently one of the handle's adhesive failed.

Very nice collection Sparkfarmer,

That is a Channellock brand wrench (manufactured by IREGA ¿right?)

And thanks for posting your pliers Grip-On as I explored a bit on the WEB and I can see they have a special model to hold screws, which interests me more since I got my pliers PZ-58 - ENGINEER, and now I see European version exists but in locking pliers

Yes its the Irega channellock, one of the few European tools you can actually buy from a store as opposed to on-line in Canada.

Those engineer screw pliers are great eh? they have saved me so much time in their life. I am also interested in those grip on screw pliers. But I have seen posts here where people use a Dremel to modify normal vice grips to be similar to the screw pliers design. I think I will try it with my Irwin Chinese vice grips that I don't use any more before buying the Gripons.

Sure, these pliers are extremely useful, soon after buying it two weeks ago I used them to remove a screw from the trunk of my car, in this case did not use the front but the lateral mechanism. But without them, would have taken my car to a shop specializing in welding or something.

mmm interesting idea for the implementation of the pliers, I could use a Stanley I bought not long ago

A long time ago, in school, I was taught to paint parts with a paintbrush to achieve the hammer-finish.
Just dip your brush in some paint, and then "dab" the part with your brush.
When the paint is dry, you will have your hammer-finished toolbox.

You don't need no stinking paintcans !:pimpflash

Recent acquisitions from a local junk tool store, just a couple of bucks each. Mixed new old stock Wera ball drivers in fractional and Torx and also non-ball insulated fractional. Can anyone date these? I imagine I'm gonna have hell trying to find fills for these sets in the original style handles.

Not sure if this is any help but I purchased these Wera tamper-proof Torx drivers new in the very early 90s. '90 or '91 I'd say. Maybe it will help with a general idea of age?

Hi! This is my first post on this site.
Thought I'd show you some of my old world stuff.

You can click the images to enlarge them!

First out is this old German Mauser (yes, the gun manufacturer).
I got this one from my grandfader, and it is stamped with the logo of Trelleborg AB.
I have just restored it to nice working condition. Im surprised how accurate it is.
It is however quite sensible to dirt and dust, as the mechanics inside clog up.

Then there's this German Massi. Hardened steel, very heavy duty.

This probably my oldest tool, though I don't know just how old it is.
Maybe you guys can help me putting a date on it?
The stamping "GB" might be for Great Britain, but that's just me guessing.

A bunch of open-ended keys. (DIN 895, Geodore and VBW).
All made in Germany. I have a ton of these, but rarely use them.

Being from Sweden, a collection of adjustable wrenches is mandatory.
These are mostly older Bahco, but there is also some Würth and other European brands.

This one is nice, it's an old Bahco marked "SAAB".

I tried to fit as many differently branded (mostly) old-world sockets into one pic as I could.
I have read most of this thread, and I know you guys like these brands: AmPro/Dowidat/Heyco/Bahco/Luck/Stahlwille/Würth/Kamasa/Facom/Ironside/Geodore

Speaking of (mostly) German made socket-tools, here's a Heyco and a Würth.
I did actually find the Heyco in a scrap metal bin.
Cleaned it of, inspected the gears inside and found nothing wrong with it.

Here's a few Wiha screwdrivers. I have never tried any other grip quite like these, really comfy even if your hands are greasy.

Here's a pair of German-made insulation strippers. Very nice quality tools!
The Wiedmüller was a freebie, as the joint between the jaws was broken.
I fixed it up, and it works just fine.

Lastly, a bunch of Swedish and German pliers.
Except for the Wera-hex keys, the pliers are, from left to right:
Lindström (swe)/ Piergincomi (ita) / Krefting (ger) / Knipex (ger) / Knipex (ger) / Bahco (swe) / Bahco (swe)

Peace

Thanks, PT. I figured these are at least 5-10 years old, but I noticed your handle markings are a bit different.
Possibly different time period? Different market?
Coriolis Effect?

Good day everyone.

I haven't posted much but spent quite a lot of time reading, thanks to everyone for such a nice place to spend rainy days like today and a tremendous source of help and inspiration :)

I have been a long time user of Facom tools for at least 20 + years. Got my first set when I was 16 and still have it, went through a lot of abuse and still deliver, the good old stuff made in FRANCE ! Unfortunately, I found out as I was purchasing new stuff that the quality was on the down side. The price was to me reflecting the quality made in Taiwan as it hasn't really gone up, in fact, it is now cheaper than it was in the past, point is not this but a little story before explaining why I pulled the trigger...

Sometimes, things happen without you really knowing why... One day I decided I had enough, I sold everything I had from all brands, mainly Facom, barely used or new, gave away to friends and family the used stuff that I wasn't feeling like selling as I find it difficult to rate the shape once a tool is used and I ended up with an empty garage, well, almost. I then had room for some more stuff...

Then I had the great chance to meet Jens, and I ended up making couple HAZET orders already. Here are some pictures of the first order I made, more to come in the next days. There are no words to describe the quality and finish of the tool chest and tools.

First, all of this HAZET stuff is on the expensive side, nothing new to people here... But, compared to my Facom tool trolley, the quality is second to none, the construction, steel gauge, paint finish, even the castors locking mechanism is amazing. They are worth every penny and the look is amazing

Then comes the HAZET tools. I soooooo love this non shiny, non slippery finish. Everything is top quality. The design, fit and finish is truly amazing and working with them is a pure pleasure. The foam system makes it fast and easy to locate tools and when you are done, 2 seconds is all it takes to realize, the 8mm box isn't back in it's place.

Now enough talking time for the pictures.

The trolley is basically what mechanics getting training in BMW training centres are using. It is an Assistent 180. There are some more tools in the side door, just forgot to take the picture.

I also ordered some NWS pliers from Ash, amazing support, fast service and great prices. I already spent couple of weeks working with the pliers and they are really amazing.

Some pictures for the NWS fans and a picture of my new Hilti drill and impact.

I would sincerely thank and recommend Jens and Ash. Great people with amazing service.

Cheers and hope you enjoyed. More to come when next order is delivered.
