One or two new things

600 series 7-19 no skips then 21, 22, 24, 27mm

Also got them in Standard, 1/4-1"

Ratchets include 1/4, 1/4 Flex, 1/4 bit, 3/8 regular, 2 3/8 flex, and 1/2 flex. These are oldschool coarse tooth ratchets. They max out at 32 for the 1/2" and go all the way down to just 20 teeth for the 1/4". Didnt need more ratchets, just wanted to give these a try and honestly there doesnt seem to be anything special about these other than being made in Germany. Hazet makes some nice round heads as well that are much more modern in tooth count and smoothness of the mechanism but im more of a fan of the teardrop design. Despite being only 20 teeth 1/4" does have a big benefit of being micro-ratchet sized, comparison photos to follow.

Compared to 1/4" Cman Premium [about the slimmest head you'll find] and a true Matco 1/4" 72 tooth Micro ratchet. You can see just how tiny the Hazet is

A couple "eleventh fingers" aka pocket screwdrivers with a plastic scraper formed on their ends and a couple magetic spark plug sockets in 5/8 and 13/16.

Broaching of a spark plug socket

And last but not least the Hazet "Smartcases". These consist of a metric hex set and triple square [XZN] set. I like these cases quite a bit but its certainly a lot more wasted space than a socket rail. I could definetly see these cases being very useful for electricians tools.

The "CR-V" on that Wisent socket seems to say it's Taiwan sourced. No idea on the "FL" brand.

MRtools,

The extractors are maybe from Kukko? Just a wild guess.

Crustydemon,

As you've probably found out already, Keiba offered two different compound joint pliers (diagonal cutter and combination pliers). They did win a "Good Design" award in Japan, when they were initially released.....and that was, IIRC, more than 10 years ago. I'm not sure what you're intending to use them for, but they'd be good for repetitive cutting/prying/twisting tasks. Being compound-jointed, the cutting capacity would be higher than a conventional plier of the same length. I wouldn't expect these to have a higher cutting capacity than a typical high-leverage diagonal cutter of similar length though. Check out the cutting specs to make sure that they meet your cutting requirements. Although I've never used them, I have seen them in person and they appear to be quality peices that would be perfectly suitable for hobby/home/craft use.

In addition to Mr Tools list:

Since you're in Europe you could try contacting Dictum to see if they can order them for you.

As an alternate source, and if available in your country, these can be found under the KTC brand name as well.

Interesting how Hazet doesn't have a "flank drive" style socket (I think the patent came out in 1965); seems everyone does these days. Maybe this is part of the German spartan "ain't broke, don't fix it, mentality"... what do you think, Monte? What about the rest of their sockets? Are they the same way?

Billymade,

Snap-on's flank drive patent was 1966 (Utica-Bonney's Loc-Rite patent was earlier at 1964) and seems to have been developed to comply with the new aerospace standard.

From what I can tell, Hazet's sparkplug sockets seem to be all non-flank drive. The standard sockets are flank-drive style, perhaps with the exception of larger sized 6/12pt sockets and wrenches....say 30mm + sizes (Hazet is not alone on this).

Shoturtle,

Ok, I stand corrected, but I just though it's not typically found on German-made tools. The CR-V stamp is synonymous with Taiwanese/Chinese made tools. The red ring of paint also alluded to the Taiwanese connection, along with the Wisent brand name-which is a DIY big box store for the budget-minded.

BTW, which German brand do you have?

They have flank drive...not all wrenches but mostly all....just another name for it, check the online catalouge.

@skin

nice set...seems Hazet changes something....compared to old days...will you keep those cases or just he foams???

I don't understand why Hazet makes no Inhex set like yours with 1/4,3/8 and 1/2 sockets...you know... long ball inhex 4mm with a 1/4 socket and not 1/2...

How are the flex head ratchets compared to Snapon 80s???

not yet :)

Found this Belzer body hammer on the flea market for €1.-

Great buy (only €1 )

In the first place I only wanted to buy the bit rachet alone bit since shoturtle posted the tool-Check that included the ratched plus some nuts and bits I purchased this :)

Thanks for the photos Phobo, for a time I have seen this ratchet on amazon, but I was not clear how small it was, thus I have a better perspective

Germany circlips pliers + screws extractor :D
Knipex..

Nice pliers mrtools, I've been looking for some models in stores lately, to provide maintenance to my ratchets 3/8 possessing ring closure

One or two new things

Great acquisition Skin,

Damn, I've been waiting a few weeks to finally get a 3/8 flex head SNAPON ratchet (model FHF80) just by curiosity about the quality of this brand (and add a new flexible head ratchet to the collection). But now I see the HAZET ratchet 3/8 of flexible head (model 8816G), I always remember how strong feel HAZET models

Yes you should!
You made me want more tools than what I need and now requite.
no money.... :( i also need Gedore ratcheting wrenches first ... :)
...and this set :)
2521563.jpg

2255913_k.jpg

Yes they are without flank drive! All my 3/8 are with out flank drive. The same for 1/4 deep 6 point. I'll take some photos when I can. The only flank drive that I have are all the 1/2 (except 27 and 32) and the 1/4 12 point shallow.
 yeah pictures are good :D

The old belzer are very nice hah?
yes very nice !
Any suggestion for 3/8 swivel head ratchet?
I'll be the first who will try the gu3?
i owned one of these about 7 years ago, but sold it because i never used it and it looked kind of thin and i was scared because the ratchet had "Max. 200 NM" on it. You can use it locked and unlocked which is a nice feature. With the new handles it looks nice :) maybe i would give it another try :)

Germany circlips pliers + screws extractor :D
nice haul again !!! :beer::thumbup:
Elora..anyone here know the OEM?
Difficult to say, maybe Schroder www.robert-schroeder.de or Koch www.Koch-bohrer.de ?

Think the socket is made in Germany, think the bit is made my Faldo for wisent.

Looks like a typical taiwanese import. IIRC the packages of the wisent tools say "Made in ROC" , Price is taiwanese or chinese too.

Since several years Hazet has "Flank Drive" too, called "Tractionsprofil". Not on all sockets though (spark plug sockets, 3/4" sockets, box wrenches...) I think Gedore was one of the last companies who switched to "Flank Drive". A Gedore dude i talked to said the customer asked for "Flank Drive" sockets so they had to jump on the band wagon. He said a socket which fits precisely dont need flank drive and the reason companies switched to flank drive might be that they are cheaper to produce because less precision is needed to make them (since the socket corners are cut out so the nut/screw can move so if there is more or less play it dont affect the functionality.)

Wbg sockets made in Germany are flank drives. So it really depends on the company.

The WGB sockets here only are stamped "WGB - Das Werkzeug" no "Germany..." Design is typical import style (cold forged, chrom plated inner instead of matt painted silver, standard broachig etc....)

Great buy (only €1 )

Thats a good price ! Try it :)

I'll keep the cases for the time being, plenty of room to spare. If they made a little electricians tool kit in these things and put a few more small areas for connectors they'd be damned handy.

How are the flex head ratchets compared to Snapon 80s???

Truthfully the Snap-Ons are superior. The Hazets even feel a bit rough but they'll absolutely get the job done. I'll have to crack one open and see if there is any lubricant inside, so far they've only shown that there is quite a bit of machine oil in them as they've drooled quite a bit. I do like the 1/4 sized one though, especially the bit ratchet.

Just as i suspected they're dry except for a light coating of oil which is probably more there to stop rust during storage rather than to lubricate. Will order up some super lube and give them all a dose and i bet that will go a long way to the feel. The spring is also incredibly stiff and while im not a big fan of it and wont do it here i bet one could take a coil or two off it and make it even smoother. Its not really a secret but i have to reiterate past comments on the cover plate, damn thing is thick! Easily 2mm if not a hair more. The design of the reverse lever is a bit unique as it uses a square drive via a hole directly through the pawl and cover plate. The only real dissapointment is that said reverse lever is plastic. A bit surprising given the quality and general "beefy" nature of the rest of the components. I guess i'll just take comfort in the fact that they must of done their homework.

Monte,

I have couple of large wbg sockets 23mm and up. They are made in Germany. But they are from 10 years ago.

What is the price for the gedore pass through set? Looks pretty.

Here are some vintage tools (one is USA) which I picked up for €4 at a local bootsale.

"Enox" rubber mallet, head is a little off square to the handle and a little chewed up still a good user.

"Moore & Wright" punch, possibly a parallel pin punch though misuse has probably shortened it, fine as a good nail punch, grinding required.

"Kraeuteur" centre punch, needs grinding to mushroomed head.

"Moore & Wright" hollow bearing scraper, don't have much use for this but will sharpen it up and may be useful for woodwork or as a scraping tool for plastics etc.

Yes I'm also perplexed with it.

The 1/2 to 3/8 adaptor has "max 202nm" and the 3/8 to 1/4 "max 62nm".

The 3/8 gu3 is longer than a regular 3/8 ratchet and maybe that's why. With all three of them you Can transfer much more power than the normal length ratchet. How about a regular 3/8 ratchet resist? I had the impression that the 1/4 resist about 70 nm the 3/8 220nm and the 1/2 a lot :lol_hitti. Is that more or less correct or completely out? Perhaps this "max 200" is the the minimum guaranteed values for all 3/8 ratchets (of gedore at least) but mention only on this one cause of the larger leverage. :dunno: I don't want a longer ratchet with less durability.

The dealer brought the 1/2 and played a little with it. I like it. Yes it's truly very very nice feature. I was afraid that it wouldn't be so handy but I was wrong.
The ratchet itself is exactly what I want. A longer Fine tooth with swivel head. But also a little expensive.

Unior 75 tooth, swivel head.

I forgot to post some pix of my latest purchase. A Small Unior Prybar.

Used the big one quite heavily when remodelling our house and it did well. Thats why I purchased a smaller version for smaller jobs but I think I also need a even smaller one.

I found this NOS beta no42.
Αlso found this "beauty" for free. :D

Nice wrenches!

Free Gedore ratchet? And it's working? That is

how are you satisfied with those metall hacksaws? My plan is to get me one.

Bahco hacksaws it the standard here in Sweden. Can't complain about the 317, but really glad to get a 319 for under half price. The blades are the best part though, tough and sharp!

TjoFrasse, I am so jealous of you! I would pay big bucks to go to that store! Looks amazing! And nice purchases! Everything looks awesome.

Thanks! As a store it's nothing spectacular, It's the prices that makes it great (and the possibility to find some NOS stuff).

I talked a bit to the cashier, and apparently they receive old unsold stuff (NOS), returns and 2:nd class stuff from all of SNA Europe. Plus everything that's left in the Enköping facilities (they're closing them).

Awesome tools in amazing price ! Εspecially the Belzer! They are spectacular. The finish is impressive!

Yeah, the chrome on that Belzer ratchet is nice. I'm not used to shiny chrome though, but it was to cool to not buy for 100:- SEK (€11).
