Hello everybody! Greetings from Bulgaria! I need Your opinion for 1 case.I had a offer for 25 euro for this complect Carolus tools tools --- http://bg.farnell.com/carolus/4004-79/socket-set-1-4-in-metal-case/dp/9791353
How do you think? It is good brand and tools or no?????
If they doesn't say gedore then they aren't gedore. If they say gedore and hasn't the Germany, they are from Afirca.
But maybe i'm wrong. Monte will known better i suppose.
the ratchet dont look german![]()
what´s not good about them ?
Gedore pliers also look better than their wrenchesI think in most cases the finish is ok, sometimes there is a bigger flaw, but ok, i think in most cases nobody will care except private users because the employee who need a wrench to tighten a screw on a MAN truck or shipyard or wind turbine doesn´t care about the finish since it´s just a tool which the employer provides. In the US it´s different since the mechanics have to buy their own tools so if you spend something out of your own pocket you want to have something nice or beautiful which attracts the eye more i think.
"Bling Bling" is also not wanted by everybody, over here often the customer thinks the more "bling bling" a product has the worse the quality.
over here no sale....i think they can send everything back to the manufacturer or got rid of everything and sold it to a liquidator.
so we can expect a lot of new tools from the Bahco store ?![]()

frame is homemade?![]()
Naa.. This is not from old world.
So after this do you want to show as your snap on ratchet?![]()

maybe you can find a nice old Gedore ratchet on the flea market or ebay ?Studying the pic closer I think you're right. Really looks like a older Taiwanese ratchet. Too bad for a otherwise nice set.
maybe bigger = stronger = heavy duty typeThat was perhaps a bit harsh. It's mostly the needle nose that I think is bad. The nose is just too big. But there was none of those in the set you posted so. The combination and the side cutter is good, just not good enough to make me change my old habits![]()
nice pics ! I like the pliers ! Design reminds me on Bahco, but flashierSome more comparison shots:
that´s where the chrome belongsYeah, Gedore pliers looks good too. I think you're right about the difference between the two markets. . A little cultural difference between the status of shiny chrome stuff in general (US cars generally has more chrome also).

ohhh that would be nice: Bahco-Belzer-Palmera-Hazet-Gedore-Knipex-NWS-Stahlwille outlet storeLets hope there is here. I got some pliers for cheap when they changed supplier for those. You should try to find the liquidator, perhaps there is some place like the Bahco outlet for those![]()
very good !It's not like I got much money for it. But yeah, I'm going back to the store some more![]()
nice tool haul !!! I like the pullers

but the new world was founded by people from the old world so it makes sense .... ?
i actually have 3 snap-on ratchets....want pics ???![]()

Delivered today:
This set (Wiha) was purchased for £33.90 (incl shipping), which I think is a pretty good price. Very nice and marked Made in Germany:

I also took delivery of a 6-piece set of Kind **** all-metal T-handle nut drivers, but I'm a bit disappointed with the quality, so I haven't bothered to take a photo. It may be that they're fine functionally, but they look like they were slapped together pretty quickly/cheaply. There's paint missing from inside the sockets, the welded joints don't look tidy/even, and they haven't even done a very god job of stamping their name on them.
There's no COO marking, so perhaps they've been made in China? It's my first King **** purchase (and now probably last aside from a set of offset ring spanners from ebay that are in the mail) and I was expecting a bit better based on the reputation. Oh well...
Where did the Wiha nut spinners come from mate?
i just dont get it.why to buy nut spinners if you have driving handle in every socket set lol
good old method
BAHCO stuff

It might be better to ask Monte why he has so many 13mm spanners when he only has 2 hands![]()
Not my kit, and the owner does not care. But it is a shame.
ok thats rightPerhaps, but if I can get those needle nose in somewhere, I might as well use combination pliers...
Biggest reason for getting Palmera tools: Nice green handles![]()
