Best score from weekend was original pre 1965, Öberg S-shape files, NOS! and very special desing, like made for clearing intake.

Cool files!

Hello everybody! Greetings from Bulgaria! I need Your opinion for 1 case. :headscrat I had a offer for 25 euro for this complect Carolus tools tools --- http://bg.farnell.com/carolus/4004-79/socket-set-1-4-in-metal-case/dp/9791353
How do you think? It is good brand and tools or no?????

It always depends on how much you need them, but for that price I wouldn't hesitate. :)

If they doesn't say gedore then they aren't gedore. If they say gedore and hasn't the Germany, they are from Afirca.

But maybe i'm wrong. Monte will known better i suppose.
the ratchet dont look german :)

Studying the pic closer I think you're right. Really looks like a older Taiwanese ratchet. Too bad for a otherwise nice set.

what´s not good about them ?

That was perhaps a bit harsh. It's mostly the needle nose that I think is bad. The nose is just too big. But there was none of those in the set you posted so. The combination and the side cutter is good, just not good enough to make me change my old habits :)

Gedore pliers also look better than their wrenches ;) I think in most cases the finish is ok, sometimes there is a bigger flaw, but ok, i think in most cases nobody will care except private users because the employee who need a wrench to tighten a screw on a MAN truck or shipyard or wind turbine doesn´t care about the finish since it´s just a tool which the employer provides. In the US it´s different since the mechanics have to buy their own tools so if you spend something out of your own pocket you want to have something nice or beautiful which attracts the eye more i think.
"Bling Bling" is also not wanted by everybody, over here often the customer thinks the more "bling bling" a product has the worse the quality.

Yeah, Gedore pliers looks good too. I think you're right about the difference between the two markets. . A little cultural difference between the status of shiny chrome stuff in general (US cars generally has more chrome also).

over here no sale....i think they can send everything back to the manufacturer or got rid of everything and sold it to a liquidator.

Lets hope there is here. I got some pliers for cheap when they changed supplier for those. You should try to find the liquidator, perhaps there is some place like the Bahco outlet for those :)

so we can expect a lot of new tools from the Bahco store ? :D ;)

It's not like I got much money for it. But yeah, I'm going back to the store some more :)

good job !

frame is homemade?:headscrat

yeah by snap-on employees at home  :D ;)

Naa.. This is not from old world. :wtf:

:D

So after this do you want to show as your snap on ratchet?

;) :D but the new world was founded by people from the old world so it makes sense .... ? :headscrat:D
i actually have 3 snap-on ratchets....want pics ??? :D ;)

Think that creeper is actually made in Asia, not the us

i dunno, i think it´s part number JC26C.
The newer version seems to be JCW65AR . All Snap-On labeled creepers show "USA" as origin.

...the headrest is not adjustable anymore:

and some wheels/bearings are pretty much f... up/gone, no lifetime warranty, no spare parts....

I have to give the BGS one thing, it is very complete, it covers everything someone in Europe or asia would need. Not much need for SAE, so you get all the metric sizes plus etorx, torx, hex and ph and slotted bit sockets.

Delivered today:

This set (Wiha) was purchased for £33.90 (incl shipping), which I think is a pretty good price. Very nice and marked Made in Germany:

View media item 20744
I also took delivery of a 6-piece set of Kind **** all-metal T-handle nut drivers, but I'm a bit disappointed with the quality, so I haven't bothered to take a photo. It may be that they're fine functionally, but they look like they were slapped together pretty quickly/cheaply. There's paint missing from inside the sockets, the welded joints don't look tidy/even, and they haven't even done a very god job of stamping their name on them.

There's no COO marking, so perhaps they've been made in China? It's my first King **** purchase (and now probably last aside from a set of offset ring spanners from ebay that are in the mail) and I was expecting a bit better based on the reputation. Oh well...

1) Because I can.
2) With tools, more options is always better.

Sometimes a screwdriver handled nut spinner is just right for the task (and will definitely fit into a smaller spot in the smaller sizes). Sometimes a fixed t-handled one is easier to grab than a ratchet (or t-handle), extension and socket (especialy if those items might already be in use for the job). Zero chance of a socket falling off and disappearing into some inaccessable hole as well.

It might be better to ask Monte why he has so many 13mm spanners when he only has 2 hands :) And wouldn't this forum be dull if we all had only the minimum tools required to complete the job?

good old method

That is a very nice result for that method! Good work!

BAHCO stuff

You did not get the 7750?

Today, another pallet of BGS:

Another look-a-like:
http://www.tbs-aachen.de/Vigor/Vigo...teckschluessel-Satz_171-teilig_i815_44931.htm

Seems like a common kit for rebranding. Like shoturtle says probably a good kit for a hobbyist.

maybe you can find a nice old Gedore ratchet on the flea market or ebay ?

Not my kit, and the owner does not care. But it is a shame.

maybe bigger = stronger = heavy duty type :)

Perhaps, but if I can get those needle nose in somewhere, I might as well use combination pliers...

nice pics ! I like the pliers ! Design reminds me on Bahco, but flashier

Biggest reason for getting Palmera tools: Nice green handles :D

that´s where the chrome belongs :D Cars + motorcycles :3gears::)

Cal-look de-chroming is the way to go ;)

ohhh that would be nice: Bahco-Belzer-Palmera-Hazet-Gedore-Knipex-NWS-Stahlwille outlet store :) in every mall :)

Yeah, and then I woke up :(

very good ! :D ;)

Going tomorrow :) Last time they said there should be some new deliveries for today. Let's hope!

C.O.O for this "Bahco" ratchet?
hope the link works..
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BAHCO-815...s_Equipment&hash=item2570f74de1#ht_500wt_1180
I suspect Argentina, but perhaps Germany?

All of that design that I have seen has been Argentina. If there is no Germany marking, I'd say Argentina for sure.

I also believe that those Palmera pliers are chrome-finished and rebadged Bahco pliers.

Or Acesa with different color handle. Don't think the combination plier design is made by Bahco, but is a Acesa design. Have seen the combination plier in chome/orange as Bahco also though.

i just dont get it.why to buy nut spinners if you have driving handle in every socket set lol

No socket wobble at all. More direct feel in tool. And of course, for the sake of having all kind of tools.

My very basic electric set. Narex screwdriver has no VDE mark, but sure is 1000V resistant and I hope so :headscrat:)

No COO on it, but maybe rebadged Wiha? Stanley is very suspicious company, as I can see in the shops - one half of their product seems to be decent, but the second half is the worst kind of garbage...

EDIT: You were faster :)

The tools fans have more than one answers for your question:bounce:
one of them is just for spare tools and collection, example? monte!
or they don't have any reason to purchase new tools.:headscrat
and the most important reason is to use the right or better tools for the jobs:thumbup:

Anyone have experience deal with TBS Acchen Werkzeughandel maybe I need to purchase something from them. That no English version for the website, they ship worldwide? tried to browse...but I don't understand Dutch:confused:
