very nice Tesa caliper and german/swiss jig saw blades !

Monte-that arbor on the hole-saw looks to have had the collar slip back...hate it when that happens, the two pins slip back and the arbor gets stuck. A ****** to take apart after that.

i don´t like the wobble of the hole saw if the collar with the pins is engaged in the saw... so i don´t "activate" it.... annoying to remove the hole saw with a strap wrench or Cobra`s though .... i dunno i don´t like wobble ... but maybe i should live with it or there is a different solution ?? Different arbor maybe ? ..

they have pliers for 1.99 too, 1/2" ratchets for 9.99 and a 3/8" + 1/4" ratchet set for 9.99

Thanks monte for the info. I was going to go pick up a miter saw on wednesday when I get back to germany. I was considering the park side, and the metabo, and einhall. Will need to go to horn back and look at the worx.

The Metabos look well built , several ppl in the german forums have the KGS 216, the KS 216 looks similar built. Bosch green also has one (PCM 7)

I like bosch but the one I would love to have is over 1000 euro, can not justified spending that kind of money on a home saw. Something around 250 is max I would spend.

$799 is only like 600€ for 1000 bucks i would take the Festool - the resale value is very good ...just in case...
Unfortunately for 250 the offerings are a little bit limited over here, in the US you would have much more choices for 250 like Dewalt etc.
But if you travel back and forth between the US + Germany i wonder if it pays of to buy power tools anyway because they only work in "their" countries and if it wouldn´t be cheaper to rent one or buy a used one ?

what ur opinion about the accuracy compare to another brand pocket level?

I'm not so much collecting (at least not in the collector/museum sense), just looking for tools that I can use that are reasonable quality and cheap. I used to have a small but fairly well equipped garage in Canada, but when I moved to the UK I had to sell it all and give away what wasn't sold. I'm now trying to build up my garage again, but on a budget so I have to shop hard for bargains
Wise or not, I tend to buy what I might need when it's cheap, rather than what I do need that might be expensive.
I don't find it very easy to find used tools here (apart from ebay/internet of course), but it may be that I just don't know where to look. Lately though at our small local car boot sale, there's been an old guy with a table and several boxes worth of tools. Most of it is not metric, and quite a lot would be more suitable to tool collectors than tool users, but he doesn't mind me digging through the boxes and seems to give me a pretty fair price.

Ur so lucky to have a car boot sale..it the good alternative way to get a good quality tools with a fair prices, of cause it a used tools but in a good condition, as you said just "digging through the boxes".

They had average but also good ones, sold nowadays under the "Metabo" brand. Dewalt has good ones too (Made in Italy), Festool seem to be good too, Bosch is the new player, and there is Compa saw from italy www.compasaw.com and Rexon of course www.rexon.net
But which is the best ? I don´t know, never really looked into this tool category since i´m not into wood working.

They´re quite expensive over here though, in europe the european brands are also more common like Kansas, Snickers, Mascot, Pionier, Planam, FHB, Engelbert Strauss, Blaklader.... etc.
Maybe better non-union than non-american ? The european brands are mostly made in asia or eastern europe nowadays.

I am new here. Often when i do a research on tools i get into this forum.
I plan to buy some good tools an i need an advise from you. I wan to buy some combination wrenches and socket sets. I live in France and here the Facom quality got down.
Is this the case for Hazet tools? Ho do 10-20 years old tools compare to today's ones?
Also I'd like to know how do Hazet 600N wrenches compare to 111 comination wrenches Belzer or Sandvik Belzer(Germany made) .

I agree with you on the facom quality got down. I used to have Facom stuff from 10 years ago top quality but the last ones I got was such a disappointment that I ended up selling everything and I replaced it all with Hazet. All I can say is that I am 100% happy. The socket and wrenches are top, the ratchet and the rest are ok.

With Hazet, you seriously can't go wrong. I would say 95% of their stuff is still made in Germany

5 years ago I'm working at furniture factory as a maintenance technician, for the 5 years I saw only one Electra Beckum get troubles

I tell you what, I'm very impress with their quality made, awesome! but the price tag is RM1100 @ 275 Euro, after negotiate the actual price is he can give me is RM800 @ 200 Euro

the 600N wrenches are longer and have a thicker open end than the 111M wrenches. The 600N are more comparable to the Belzer 1952M. If i would have to buy only 1 set of combination wrenches i would buy a set with "strong" wrenches like Bahco/Belzer 1952M, Hazet 600N, Stahlwille Open Box 14, Gedore 1B etc.

no, it´s a fake In Germany is the Dewalt EU headquaters so the tools say "Dewalt, Idstein, Germany" but the tools are made in czech republic, Mexico, or China (some higher priced miter saws in Italy).
Maybe very old Dewalt tools were made here, or maybe they changed the COO already when they changed the brand name from "Elu" to "Dewalt" years ago. Back in the days the predecessors of Dewalt tools "Elu" tools were made in Germany + Switzerland later in England, USA and China too when Black + Decker bought Elu. Then later the color was changed from grey to yellow and the name and the COO changed too.
