It's a special Christmas beer from De Dolle in Belgium, that's why it's called that name. The name is Flemish/Dutch, but I guess those words happen to be the same in German. If you ever see it for sale, try it. It's very nice and very potent. The alcohol content is over 12%nice

Usag number 252 10/11 mm open end spanner
This was another 'bargain' ebay tool, which I bought partially because i haven't seen any Usag tools in person before, apart from their tyre levers (which seem to have been de-facto in any tyre shop/garage over here at one point, and are still common now) not that familiar with Usag, so not sure when they made this style of wrench, I'd guess its fairly old though, maybe 80's or 90's at latest?
It is a really nice quality spanner, the weight and feel of the steel and finish seem similar to stahlwille tools, I am amazed at how thin it is though, possibly the thinnest jaws I've seen on an open end wrench.
Some comparison pics next to a Snap On SOEXM10 (10mm flank drive plus)
and a Stahwille Series 13 10mm both of which are pretty thin and compact in their own right (don't have a 10mm Hazet or Gedore to compare)
Jaws on the Usag are the biggest side on, but by no means unwieldy or ugly.
Its by far the thinnest though, forgot to measure it but its around half the thickness of the snap on and noticeably thinner than the stahwille
not used it in anger so I can't comment on jaw spread or strength

The Hazet 450 are also thin like that.
I think the reason is that in a traditional situation, you are not using the open end wrench for breaking loose the fastener. You use the box wrench for that. The priority with a open end wrench is convenience fitting in small spaces, etc. But in the real world, sometimes we do need to use the open end to break a fastener loose.
That's where a combination wrench comes in. Since it's already too long, there's no harm in making it a little thicker on the open end.
USAG made the Facom combination wrenches before Toptul, so it's likely that everyone has seen a USAG without knowing it

I had never even thought of that, will have to find some combination wrenches to compare it to, only similarly sized combination wrenches i have are 10/13mm heyco DIN ones (from car tool kits) which are a lot thicker
I do have a (single) hazet 450, a 17/19mm one which i use a lot, don't have a corresponding Hazet combination so hadn't really taken note of it , but i did notice its a lot thinner than the Gedore one i have.
Didn't know that about Usag, knew that they were owned by Facom since 1991ish though until Stanley got their hands on the name

Ratchet you can check the thickness from the catalog.
The Gedore No7 have the same thickness with the open end wrenches. The 1B have a thicker open end because it is longer.
The same goes for the Hazet open end with the 603. The 600N is thicker but also longer.

My Gedore 3/4 Af socket set finally arrived today. Didn't really need it as I have a few cheapy sets but for £67 to the door I couldn't refuse it.
It has only been used a handful of times.
And obvious Garage journal tradition of taking the ratchet apart for regreasing. This ratchet is actually surprisingly light.
The dead locking mechanism on these sets is pretty sweet. Sockets and extensions effortlessly push on and then press the button to effortlessly remove them.
Word of warning though - The locking pin on the ratchet and t-bar do not work well with standard dedent sockets as they fall off easily. However you can use standard ball / spring ratchets and accessories with these pin type sockets and extensions no problem.

Plus / Minus PH1 and PH2.
1/4 bit driver
10 and 12mm slotted chisel drivers. (The 12mm is a bit of a beast)

I would really recommend these flexi drivers. You have about a +/- 90 degree range and are not at all stiff.

Rebranded screwdrivers from LUX, unfortunately they are no longer available.

Sorry billymade i´ve never heard of that company nor i have ever used such tools.... you can buy them from many companies like Hazet, Stahlwille, Schroeder, Herth + Buss or www.mibostahl.com and www.wmtools.de
some people recommend to use paper clips ....i don´t know if that works ??

I just bought these two knipex pliers for the collection.
The bent needle nose pliers has a big gap, with some pressure it is less of a gap, but it never closes completely.
As the price was low (€15 a piece) it's not a big issue, but I am a bit disappointed in the quality.
Is this normal for this model?

Hmm, the Felo 45o bent nose insulated pliers I just got has the same gap. I'm pretty sure Knipex makes Felo pliers. I think the gap might be by design.
