nice tool haul !!
How much air does it Need ? how big is your compressor ?

They state 350 watt using 8 litres a second, if that means anything to you? Their latest range is even more powerful for a similar air consumption.

My compressor is nothing special - just an SIP one with a 200 litre tank and 3 horse motor. Underpowered for long duration sanding, painting etc but is grand for most tasks. About 6 years old and still going strong. They come with **** motors that need replaced.

By any chance does anyone have any experience with the Gedore K19 half inch drive impact sockets?

I noticed they are fairly well priced, but, do Gedore make them and more importantly, where?

Hey, that's rebuildable....and looks like it's sourced from the same company BluePoint/Snap-on gets theirs from. Does it also have a dual-80 mechanism in it?
yes it´s a dual pawl Setup. Didn´t count the teeth though.

Hello!

Hello and welcome !

480 l/min ... i thought they need more :) ....the higher end grinders usually don´t bog down, thats the good thing...

A couple of oldtimers today :D

a Rheidco-metabo #382 1/2" drive 'push through' type ratchet,

been reading this thread through from page one again and from what I've seen Rheidco-metabo tools are from the 50s and 60's? not sure though.

I bought it from ebay a few years ago, so dont know much about it, quite a nice ratchet, 24 tooth, so not the smoothest, and icant take it apart to look at the mechanism sadly as its semi sealed (seems to be staked together) really quite a slim head on it, has come in handy a few times already

and an old hazet 300 series open end spanner, in a slightly odd size, 7/8ths and 25/32nds
im still a bit of a novice at dating hazet stuff despite them beign one of my favorite brands, but id guess 50s or early 60's? has the old small a logo and the waterslide decal on it,

In nice condition, doesn't look to have been used much at all, these early hazet wrenches are a bit 'cruder' (for want of a better word) in finish to the later ones, then again so were most tools from that era, function over form etc although it still feels nice and light in the hand compared to a lot of old tools

Well yes, the Hazet 300 is from the early 50´s. They were made with that number till the early 60´s and replaced with No. 450.

Pre war spanners were named "Hazet Extra" and before that only "HAZET" stamped - interestingly in large font as today but with an other kind of typeset.

Thanks for your support!
I'll keep searching!

Now that the ebay witch has allowed me to list again, I'm putting some items up for sale:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/alfajuj/m.html?item=251275737773&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

I love collecting obsolete tools.
There isn't much sport in collecting present production. You just buy it. Yaaaaawn.
It's much more fun digging and searching for the one you want. There always seems to be at least one size of the the set which eludes you.
so I prefer 600 to 600N, 450 to 450N, and if I'm really feeling masochistic, I can start collecting 635 box wrenches, or better yet, small "a" Hazet tools!!! :lol_hitti
But truly, I can't bring myself to collect 610 zero offset box wrenches. They're just so homely compared to the astonishingly lovely 610N series. What gems they are!
Right now I'm asking on a Dutch market site about a used 600-27. The site is only in Dutch and for some reason, the Google translation doesn't work on this site. All the more fun! I'll translate it sentence by sentence.
I just hope I don't run into another yo-yo who can't figure out how to ship international!!!

Been trying to decide whether to buy those Wiha ones, or the PB Swiss versions (and Hazet seem to do a similarly coloured set now too...), how does the colored finish look like it will hold up?

I purchase the PB SWISS for myself and the WIHA for a friend of mine. When i saw the Wiha, i was waver to also keep them or not. They 're beautiful. The coating on those PB Swiss i think eventually will worn out. I can't say the same about the Wiha because the color it's not a plastic coating, it's like electrostatic paint or something... The lettering on Wiha is permanent. On PB Swiss is not. When you put the PB Swiss key in to the case wears the edge of the coating.

Besides the appearance issues, BP Swiss ball end have a bigger working angle
(i think) from Wiha. Finally if you shake the case of Wiha the No 10 falls.

Or you could try HaFu, the OEM for the Hazet keys :)

Some more Gedore goodies came in today. All the pliers are made in Austria, wrenches and water pump pliers in Germany, and the screwdrivers have nothing on them. Weird thing about screwdrivers is that the ph2 and 5.5 slotted don't have markings on the caps like the rest. I dunno if that is a mistake or they are suppose to be like that.

All this blue looks great.

I did a search for Inbus, but all I find is some made in Taiwan hex keys.

"Inbus" is a trademark for hex keys/screws, just like Allen (they were the first).
Here in Scandinavia "Unbraco" is the word (also a reg. trademark) used for hex keys.

We have the PB Swiss version in our CNC manufacturing department and after a while they wear out and this doesn't look very nice.

Thanks for the welcome Nort, Roverbo and Mt.
Roverbo at all think we're in a forum nerd, we're just a group of people passionate about tools, although, I'm not always the employment specialist for repairs that never fail at home and try as far it possible to increase my "arsenal"
:D

My father had a wood shop for many years and have been able to rescue some tools that I hope will be interesting ...

hey i only want to help you to save some money with cheaper options like these HaFu wrenches :D ;) ;)

sweet !
The screwdriver without markings on top are older stock.

"Inbus" = Innensechskantschraube Bauer und Schaurte
("inside hexagon screw Bauer and Schaurte") derived from the Company who first patented the screw in Germany. Still a brand name, licensed to HaFu to make hex keys
