Had a few hours spare today so got busy. This has been sitting around for a while, taunting me.

Naked Leinen (extra special thanks to Van Steele for the TSP advice - worked brilliantly):

I also dropped most of the two remaining grinders into the solution (after testing with a pice of scrap Al) for 20 mins or so, and the TSP lifted most of the paint from them as well.

I ended up just using a plastic tub and filling it with boiled water - worked well and the solution was still hot a couple hrs later.

Thanks! I've just now pulled the tape off and it looks even better. I'll give it a few days to cure and then assemble and take another pic.

To cure paint one can place freshly pained "dry" item an a 175F oven for 20-30 minutes. Smells a little so you might wait until the wife is out.

sadly, almost nothing 'cause of them being non-metric since not much(maybe even less than one! ) anglo-american car kits came with Hazet tools in the first place, so no car tool kit collectors for those...
but, -there's always a "but"- there are also collectors of Hazet tools in the metric forgotten lands so it might be worth a bit more than almost nothing!

yes the Wiha drill screwdriver uses 7mm yankee bits (with a "notch" and "step")
