The Mato one is also available in metal and is "Engineered in Germany"

ebay maybe and small hardware stores....Monte, is there a good source for NOS Knipex pliers and the like? Those handles...![]()
percussion drill ? rotary drill or rotary hammer ? The best drills are made by Fein (Fein BOP...) the best rotary hammers by Duss. Good drill bits for concrete (SDS-Plus) are available from Milwaukee/Drebo, Dewalt/***, Bosch/Hawera, Heller, Keil , Hitachi, Makita etc. What a sad day.
I used 3 drill bits for four drillings.
My question is, what are good drill bits for concrete and for metal?
My old drill is due for replacement, so what company makes good drills?
Cosmik, your "editing reasons" always make me giggle![]()
pictures!

Got this stuff pretty cheap.. MSRP for the Knipex only, the 1/2 Beta allen key was $1 and change, the PB Swiss driver was 3 I think! Don't mind the laptop![]()

The good ones have a 4-cutter or 3-cutter carbide head and are made in Germany (all of them which i mentioned). Search Ebay for "Dewalt XLR" or "Makita Nemesis" or "Heller Trijet" etc.

:
get the Hawera/Bosch X5L and be done with it.
the Hawera Multi Construction are quite good too if you do not drill only concrete: *clicky*
especially handy when you don't know what you're going to be drilling in beforehand...
I use a pistol grip hammer drill (Schlagbohrmaschine).

sorry i don´t know....Monte will tell you, as usual, who the OEM is!)

...but the poor engineers need to earn some money too...."engineered" in Germany is not really what i'm after at these prices...![]()
if you use a Schlagbohrer then i would take a look at the Hawera/Bosch drill bits Cosmik Binturong recommended, "Goldcraft" bits from "Keil" or the Alpen drill bits from Blockw@rts post (Alpen drill bits with red painted flutes are similar to the Bosch Multi Contruction bits/ But remember some bits are recommended for use without impact mode). Alpen also offers impact drill bits specially for concrete (Black flutes/ "Profi Beton"), Hawera too ("Elastic Super" / "Perfect Power")I use a pistol grip hammer drill (Schlagbohrmaschine).
Thanks for the advices!
I found this offer…………the screwdrivers looks like rebranded Felo's, but the price seems suspiciously low to me.![]()
If I did not already have so many screwdrivers, maybe I would try this set.

unfortunately snap-on doesn´t hand out price lists so you have to request every single price from your snap-on dealer but at 23 grand $ i guess you can as well buy a VW Passat or a Golf GTI from that money......@Monte
Do you have a SnapOn Pricelist for Germany ?
How many cost the KEXN725A0PCM Roll Cab, EPIQ™, 31 Drawers, 144" Wide, Royal Blue.
I love shocks……………maybe a bank robbery...???![]()
Thanks!
I think this is his online shop. Unfortunately lowest order 250 €, and i suspect only within Germany.![]()
Try and send him an email. I have never bought from him via shop, only per mail.
And I bought for less than 250€.

woah! got a package from Miskin today!

nice to see some rebadged Wiha tools !Leroy Merlin in Athens. Dexter Torx drivers

I think it will be difficult to find an air impact from the Old World, and if, below 200.-I want to ask something:
A friend of mine and I are going to work a lot on cars together.
To make things easier I want to buy a compressor and an 1/2" air impact wrench (made in the old world)
This compressor has to feed the air impact wrench and a SATA 3000 HVLP spray gun.
On garagejournal some people recommend the Ingersoll Rand 231C that is sold as 231GXP in Germany.
But there are other manufacturers. So which makes the most bang for the buck?:
Aircat, Chicago Pneumatic, Pneutec, Shinano, Sioux and even the Taiwanese Pneutrend. (And a lot of relabeled tools...
Another friend recommended his 1/2" Hazet air impact wrench to me. It even says 'Made in Germany' - which the newer models don't - but I doubt that Hazet made them themself.)
As for the wrench I want to stay under 200€.
Because I got good advices in this thread I said to him that I am going to ask here first.

i hope it´s ok as compensation for the wrenches you´ve sent meerr... i sorta posted on the wrong thread what got here by post yesterday and coulda (and shoulda) been posted right here, so let's go clickity-click!: *clicky!*![]()
nice to see some rebadged Wiha tools !
I think it will be difficult to find an air impact from the Old World, and if, below 200.-Compressors are in most cases from Italían companies made in Italy or China - so that will be much easier
There are other common brands in Germany for impacts like Rodcraft, Rodac or Aircraft:
http://www.aircraft-kompressoren.de/produkte/druckluftwerkzeuge/schlagschrauben/index.html
http://www.rodcraft.com/lang-de/produkte-mainmenu-38.html?page=shop.browse&category_id=64
http://shop.rodac.com/webshop/artikellijst.aspx?bookmark=true
or simply get this one ...: (your friends ??)
http://heisse-nuesse.de/index.php?page=product&info=94
or with the mandatory socket set:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/HAZET-9012-1...werker_Druckluftwerkzeuge&hash=item5d3e4364af
The Sioux impacts are not available here (?) Snap-On is but high $$$, Shinano not avail (?) as well as Aircat and Pneutrend (?). Ingersoll has a good price, but the Hazet seems to have more power.... CP has some good prices too..(.http://www.tbs-aachen.de/Druckluftt...Schlagschrauber_125_1/2_746_Nm_i284_14443.htm ).if you want to spend closer to 200 then we talk about 1000 NM and more if you want to spend less we usually talk about 600 to 800 NM... i don´t know if the 200.- you want to spend include impact sockets etc... (or if you want to use chrome sockets)

I Picked Up Some Pliers At An Estate Sale
I Like Getting Old German Pliers ,However Its Hard To Find Info On Them
These Say ACIERFONDU On The Inside Of The Handles
And On The Side I Think It Says VON CLEFF & Co.
Germany
They Look Like Regular Duck Bill Pliers But With A Nice Box Joint
I Sure Would Like To Know How THey Make These Joints
interesting boot...with a Maglite ?I have found an offer for the IR air wrench:
http://www.ateshop.nl/de/ingersoll-rand-231gxp-schlagschrauber-p-43.html
You can buy a toolboot with it. But it costs more than the CP and the Hazet.
(On a forum I found this:
"Made in China by Ingersoll Rand, Designed & Engineered in USA" rather than Made for Ingersoll-Rand in CHINA. The factory in China is owned and run by IR employees.)
So the race will be between the Aircraft, Hazet, IR, Pneutec, Rodac and Rodcraft.
My friend told me that they use Kaeser and Schneider air compressors at work. Are they any good?
As for the sockets, I already have the Ko-ken:
My Gedore punch set. It seems that quite a lot people bought it:

Is there some deal on punches?
"Garant" 3/8" universal joint

Its like a stahlwille!
welcome backHi guys!
Do you miss my bad English?![]()
Ahh end of summer vacation, back to work now.![]()
I also have some new tools but not pics yet.
Monte why the Garant is less expensive than stahlwille?![]()

Do you mean ?
http://www.toptec-tools.de/products.htm#
This company is not a part of the Stahlwille group.
