It´s pre 1933!!! In this year a new ratchet came out. That tool case is to find in the 1930 catalog, but still in a wooden case. I would narrow it down to late 1931 or '32.
The photo is from a '33 case:
I learned all my German from

Excellent, much appreciated.*snip*

Looks like BelzerHere is the real bahco! not that orange plastic bags we havehttp://www.maskinochverktyg.se/#m=b&l=52670&pg=1&p=5176
I haven't decided yet. What do you think?![]()
So much bahco tools lately it gives happy tears in my eyesthanks everybody! Have posted pics before of my bahco, does it again!
Bahco 8150 "dual80"and extensions
Thanks for your opinion ! I thought about a set, but it seems you only use it for struts (that´s what i thought i might use it too) but i think i pass and figure out other ways since i think i can do everything else with normal sockets and (ratcheting) wrenches. But maybe someone has another special application for such a set and can talk me into a set![]()
Thanks for the detailed reply.
I was not particularly after the pass through sockets, they just happened to be available from an online retailer within my price range. I wanted a compact socket set that I can carry with me to an off-site job (instead of having to pack my sockets every time - they hang on a board in my garage).
I have since seen the Bahco S240 set also available (image below), but a little above my price range. It is a 1/2" drive though so is more preferable. So its either that or the 3/8" S330 set.
There are other cheaper socket sets available here, but I really would not mind adding the Bahco brand to my garage.![]()
wurth ratchet screwdriver
Nobody here in the garage has such a set... it seems they use a deep offset wrench ... so i always was wondering about these sets...Yeah, working on cars you can generally use deep sockets or wrenches instead of a set like that. I think there is a reason that most premium brands don't have that kind of sets, and instead has a dedicated strut set.
that was a expensive mistakeand unfortunately I discovered this site.![]()
occasionally i look in flashlight and knive forums but that are the 2 things which i´m not really into...If you should ever get into flashlights, I know a fine forum for that![]()
my oldest catalog is probably from 1992 (?) ("Katalog D92") but your pliers are not there. I guess its a older model because of the older style "sleek" handles. Is there a part # on the tool ? I guess it might be a upgraded model similar to the combination pliers still offered in the 1992 catalog where a regular 180mm combination plier made out of "Vergütungsstahl" was offered for 39.- DM and the upgraded model out of "Gedore-Vanadium" was offered for 72.- DM. The regular model looked like the pliers today and the upgraded model looked exactly like this one. The regular model shows"Austria" as coo and the upgraded model shows "Germany" as coo. So it maybe wasn´t made by Gedore. So basically what i´m trying to sayMonte i need your help. In the early pages of this thread you posted this pic.
I find one like this Gedore sidecutter 200 mm here in Athens. The dealer claims that this sidecutter costs 46 €!! More than 50% off and i can take it for 22 € . My question is ... why is it so expensive? I want that sidecutter but i can´t find nowhere some info. Can you help?

nice sidecutter collection !

He's an authorised dealer and, you know, before the economical krisis in Greece, with banks to lend without asking, with major projects such as establishments of the Olympics, there was a, how to tell, comfort in store merchandise. What's left on the shelves now sell at half price. I think i will take a better look on that side cutter because i really like it. it's a solid, brand new Gedore side cutter with blue translucent plastic handles.occasionally i look in flashlight and knive forums but that are the 2 things which i´m not really into...

maybe he just wants to make some money
because its not in the 2014 catalog i wonder where he got the price from ....?

Speaking of Belzer, I've just bought this puller, which was advertised as Belzer:
It was cheap, so if it turns out not to be , then I won't be too disappointed (as long as it's reasonably useful).
The brazilian Belzer has nothing to do with euro belzer!
Good find.
They are brilliant pullers - you definitely won't be disappointed and you won't bend it in a hurry.
Yours must be slightly older. The new ones have a special coating on the forcing screw.
They are the same ones Gedore rebrand. I can't remember the name of the manufacturer though.
Wow, the Stahlwille head is massive compared to the Hazet!
Do you need > 22mm sizes? If so a 1/2" set is the only option. For < 22mm sizes I think that 3/8" shouldn't be a problem, but you might want to add a breaker bar.

Val Kilmer talks damn good German !

Hi,
Some European tools I like in my workshop.
Chisels for woodworking I use different types of old " The Shark" i e E A Berg tools from Eskilstuna, Sweden, bought second hand. Some of them needs new handles. It is about the best steel quality for woodwork, made about 60 - 70 years ago

"Cheaper tools" part II.
The original ratchet was replaced by a "better" one !![]()

for that price i would pick it up too....all translucent blue toolsHe's an authorised dealer and, you know, before the economical krisis in Greece, with banks to lend without asking, with major projects such as establishments of the Olympics, there was a, how to tell, comfort in store merchandise. There is only one real Belzer...Monte! Older Belzer and sandvik belzer was different, but the most newer belzer tools are the exact same thing as Bahco! But now we talking of bahcos premium tools not the s-line! I mean theirs polished chrome stuff, not the satin one! I the are no difference between newer bahco and newer belzer!

nice tools and case ! Full metal jacket !

yeah lolHmmm...when i use that tool, it´s mostly for making holes nearer to the end...too much christmas stollen, i guess..![]()
Thumbs up for effort and execution.Hi guys,
here is another short video, but this time in English.
I hope you can understand it !![]()
i visited a exhibition for production machinery today:
Yeah I think they'll be good. I've got 2/3 jaw pullers with hinged jaws and it can be a bit of a pain sometimes holding the jaws in place while getting some pressure on the screw, so I've been wanting to try this type for a while.
I did see a similar puller on the Gedore site, but also Sealey, so we'll see what turns up. They look to be in good condition though so for £13 shipped I won't be overly fussy.
