$32.28 shipped with some bonus points I had to use up before they expired.
I know they were cheaper by about $4 last year, but this price was good enough for me.

This year I stayed several days in Freiburg, right in the center of the Black Forest, the most beautiful scenic place in Germany.

Part of the city tour was visiting Museum of Modern Art.

Nice sculpture, isn't it?

Cosmik, the Festool frenzy continues.

Festool router and some accessories acquired Friday; have a cedar shiplap wall to do this week.

CMT bits made in Italy.
wow :pimpflash
either you´re a serious DIY or a professional woodworker ?!

Milwaukee compact rotary hammer made in Czech Republic!
nice czech hammer + german bits

They sure do. Maybe I will be back at my dealer very soon :).

What the heck ?
What's this guy smoking ?
This isn't the "Tools from the old department store" thread.
Get with it buddy !
Tricked you !
:)
is that the recent flashlight ? i wonder since there are 2 models.
How do you like it ?

Welcome to the forum !
Nice old Hazet drivers !

Whose is this brand?
Maybe: http://www.fairtool.hu/fileadmin/user_upload/Katalogusok/Szakmai_katalogusok/Heyco/HEYNEN-2012.pdf

It is the "better" version build in 2010 and I like it.
so the new version has the silver "front end". I´ll see if i can find one for a good price :) There is also a new Bosch 10,8 volt flash light coming out

since the pliers didn´t fit exactly in the Gedore tool trays i used my heat gun
to heat the plastic ...

...and the tool itself to form the plastic:

it fits !

some more heating (200 degree celsius, about 10 seconds)...

...and forming...

and everything fits

Yes, the Orbis Evo line ones. Haven't seen one in real, but sure look good.
Orbis is also part of the Knipex group.

My todays arrivals:

VBW mechanic's snipe nose pliers, long-nose pliers 575 0 15 and
VBW mechanic's snipe nose pliers 574 1 15.

Just wanted to try VBW.
The operating is not as smooth as with the Knipex or NWS ones.

Maybe I have to try Keiba :).

I know, the pics are crappy :).

Thanks for posting Monte! They look nice, are they going to offer them in a comfort grip version?
I´m not sure, but over here they offer them with comfort handles: http://www.orbis-werk.de/index.php?id=96&L=1
but it seems americans prefer dipped handles ?

btw: http://www.behance.net/gallery/16110403/EvoBolt-power-cutter :)

I've got some Knipex mini bolt cutters that look very similar to the HKP ones.
me too :)

Britool spanners from the days when Britool was English:

I really wish Knipex or NWS would make a long nose (11") plier set.
OrbisWill makes them:

seen 'em, branded as "Ironside", but the shop owner wasn't enthusiastic enough to let me fondle them or even take pics inside the shop, that made me way less enthusiastic about buying anything from him... :spit:

he might have thought i was casin' the joint for later! :D

I can vouch that the screwdriver is German made and very high quality (regular FELO tool) :), but the ratchet and sockets are not German made :(. My brother bought it from Amazon and returned it soon afterwards. It is small though and relatively inexpensive though.

I have the Felo Smart II 29 pieces set and I like it. The sockets are stamped "Stahl", I think they are made by SW-Stahl, a company in Germany. They all have a matt finish, which is typical of tools made in Germany. But I am not sure whether SW-Stahl made them in Germany or outsourced them. The quality of the sockets seems to be on par with the SK and Proto sockets which I own, but I have little chance to test their strength and durability.

PS: My first post in garagejournal in reply of a four-year old post, haha. Just want to give some information.

either you´re a serious DIY or a professional woodworker ?!

diy who likes well made tools :)

a couple of days ago added this to the tool set; Festool DF 500 Domino
Cut some mortises on the Domino this afternoon with a couple of mates, fantastic! Soooo quick, snug as and clean. Instant convert.

On part of the casting where it appears to have been linished off, the finish is a bit inconsistent with the rest of the tool, absolutely no impact on the performance, just a aesthetic thing.

A brilliant bit of kit.

Also picked up a Festool Jigsaw, good weight, so much smoother than my Metabo.

A left hand extension for the Kapex arrived today; having just re-organised my tiny workspace, I now need the right hand extension (duly ordered).

The 12 drawer Systainer is a peach. It replaces a Sortimo; no more getting the Sortimo down off the shelf, sliding drawers and configurable drawer dividers, and it stacks.

node105 Very nice tool collection from Festool that you have there. My girlfriends sister works for Festo in Esslingen and is fortunately able to get somewhat of a discount. Did you buy your Festool products new, and if so where from?

are they serious with those prices?

shouldn't be surprised, trans-Atlantic crossing is a code word for unleashing wallet-bleeding leeches on unsuspecting tool purchasers... *clicky!* :spit:

me too! :D

Gosh! By that price, my very own Picquic driver has instantly become more valuable.

These arrived courtesy of Ebay this morning:

1970's Britool still in their unopened packets. Not sure if I can bring myself to open them!

Anthony

Those are awesome!! I say, keep them NOS!

Node105,

Wow, spendy stuff you have. I'd like to see some things you create using those tools. :)

Thanks for the links Monte! I wonder if I can get these through my Knipex distributor? I like the comfort grips personally, but if I worked with heavy gloves on, I can see where the dipped handles may be preferred.
i think Ash from http://www.german-hand-tools.com/ once sold some Orbis pliers. I would try to contact him.

I wouldn't open them! You can always open them if you want, but you can never close them once they're open... I really love those old Britool tools :)

I would have a Keiba but they are more than 50 Euros in Germany.
For that I can buy nearly three Knipex the same size and I don't think the Keiba is three times better than a Knipex :).

Nice one.
What is your opinion on it? Is it that better than the predecossor?

Added to bucket list: Buy Keiba pliers when in Japan. Or just go to Japan ever.
