What's that 'goldish' color on all of these tools?

Well they are "silver" in real life.I didnt notice the gold color myself.I live in the arctic so the light of the midnightsun maybe played a role, and next to where i made the photos i have a signal orange porsche 914, so sometimes my workshop glows.

IIRC they had this set on display at the hardware fair and the lady said they only have this set right now to see if the customers like it and because the other companies have such stainless steel tools too.

some Dremel accessoires for my new Bosch: sanding bands, EZ Drum™/SpeedClic mandrel and collet set

(coo USA + Mexico)

the collets fits the Bosch tool too, so you also can use all Dremel and Proxxon accessoires: (Proxxon mostly use 2.4mm (2.35mm) shafts) The 3.2mm collet also works with the 3mm Proxxon shafts.

as the Official Hand Tools Minister of Germany you should only have to send them an Official Production Order of one complete Edelstahl Torx set. with my address for delivery, of course. :D

even Madame Angela knows that it's good to export tools to broke countries like France, just have a look at all those german tools in the tool boxes of our greek members!

Awesome strippers, I recently bought a pair of similar vbw strippers back from the grave. They looked bad and were frozen solid, but all they needed was some TLC. Does anyone know if you can buy the handles like the ones on the elora strippers above?

Anyway ive been overhauling a few electric motors recently so I bought a thor nylon faced hammer and a few rennsteig punches:

Also cleaned my tools and decided to take a photo of the old world gear in my toolbag. Knipex and wiha (swiss made?) Pliers, felo screwdrivers with wiha terminal driver, hazet 1/4" socket set, a gedore 13x10 open ender and a lonely boker 2ba nut driver (I'm a instrumentation tech/electrician btw):

some manufacturers are nice enough to send you, free of charge or not, the handles if you do ask nicely(Bost did as well as Beta), but if you cannot get them from a manufacturer, best thing is buying cheap flea market pliers with nice handles and do a transplant. :)

Is there some kind of an EU regulation that all pliers must have those huge clunky plastic handle covers? I can see very thin ones, but the big ones make using the pliers clumsy. They also take up too much room in a belt pouch.

Knipex and most European manufacturers (at least German ones) produce handles similar to the channellock style as well. Such as:

draper36895_1-350x350.jpg

It's possible to find some without handles at all and just the bare metal from the 80s/90s and older but I'm not aware of any company that makes them presently.

Personally I like the bulkier handles, thinner ones tend to hurt my hand if I'm using them often.

quite possible

Knipex used to offer a pair of diagonal cutters until 1 or 2 years ago with bare handles: part# 70 04 140

Bilz Hermetikus air gun:

I notice that the connector looks like a hose connector, and not a quick connect. Is it intended for permanent installation or just that you make your own short whip and put a quick connector at the end?

Thor hammers look really good. They have succeeded in having a unique design!

Nice tool set!

Personally I like the bulkier handles, thinner ones tend to hurt my hand if I'm using them often.

^ what he said.

It seems that comfort handles are more of a European thing. Here comfort handles on pliers and ratchets are the standard. Bahco has even made it sort of a brand identity to produce ergonomic tools, and for all brands ergonomics are usually presented as a selling point for professional use items.. The dipped handles are usually the "budget choice".

That being said, here are my new Knipex 180mm pliers wrenches with dipped handles :)
IMG_1087.jpg

Not the first time the pliers wrenches are in this thread, but they are good enough to be posted many times I think! :D

Bought from the one and only Cosmic Binturong. And that means bonus items:
IMG_1088.jpg

KWB drill depth stops.
SAM 5mm combination wrench (Made in France)
3 Bosch reciprocating saw blades
4 Whia long torx bits (2 x T25 and 2 x T30)
Duck bill pliers, Peugeot (Made in France). Restored
