Do you like the weicon stripper monte? It looks similar to a knipex one I have. Once you have the technique worked out, they are fantastic and a lot faster than a cable knife.
it works nice + fast ! I have a similar one from Jokari which works good too ! Much better than a cable knife ! (Don´t use it anymore...)

A sidchrome (re branded portasol) butane soldering iron:
which one is it ? Pro Piezo 75 ? 75 watt ? Which maximum size cable do you can solder ?

Show off your PH2 screwdrivers ! :rocker:
nice collection :rocker:

Look for the satin ones,i guess they would be your first choice anyway:) Got a package today,Gedore ****,with a freebie.
satin...sure ! ;)
wow very nice shorties !!! How do you like them ? Specific application ?

Well i havent tried them yet,i have the normal length 7r from before and thought short ones would be nice in tight areas where you dont see much:) Overall i love them, its strange how light they are compared too other ratcheting wrenches.Maybe a picture of my Gedore 7 series will pop up in the near future.

Yeah. When I need a PH3-screwdriver I take that one from my Beta VDE Philips set, because that one wasn't in the Hazet Hexanamic set. Have to buy it still, because these screwies are just so nice to work with ;)

By the way: I was dismantling the rear bumper of my car due to problems with my PDC (Volvo Park Distance Control). So, not that serious automotive stuff like Monte is doing :bounce:

@Monte

Is the rubber at the Hazet Hexanamic screwdrivers the same as the Witte PROTOP II (Impact) in terms of the haptic ?

More of wrenches with 22. ;)

All: this vise sort of came up in the vise thread and i'm curious if any of you wise men know who makes it and can you provide a link to their website? it has the measurements to tell how wide your jaw has moved back and a post sort of like a blacksmith vise.

i thought Leinen, but can't find anything on their website. i'm sure it's from the old country and just wanted more information. it is interesting even though not sure of it's intended use.

I believe that vise is/was manufactured in China, but possibly for a European or American company. It may have originally been made in Germany. In the USA it used to be sold by Palmgren as the model WBS135 but it has since been discontinued. Dake also used to sell a version possibly as the model FV135. It was also sold by Travers as T&O MA5330 Multifunction Bench Vise. Travers still has some miscellaneous parts for it but not the vise which may have been discontinued. Years ago I think Jewelry Supplier Rio Grande actually offered it, but I forget if they listed a manufacturers name.

Travers webpage listing the parts they still have. They don't actually say what the parts are, they just list the numbers.

http://www.travers.com/multifunctio...ch=block id 132951 and class level3 id 297372

Grainger webpage listing the Palmgren vise but the vise is listed as no longer available.

http://www.grainger.com/product/PALMGREN-Combination-Vise-6CMV9

sustainablesupply.com still lists the vise. Listed price is $703.04.

http://www.sustainablesupply.com/Palmgren-WBS135-Bench-Vise-w-4-Sets-of-Jaws-5-5-p/w301789.htm

This is a thread on Practical Machinist that discusses the vise.

http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb/general-archive/t-o-multifunction-vise-foot-pedal-81329/

Some of the foot pedal vises said "brained & designed in Germany" on one of the castings. This thread also from Practical Machinist has some pictures. The vise pictured says MFV5 on the side which I presume is a model number.

Neo: thanks for all the information and links. some are old threads that have all their links missing, but i found this You Tube video showing the holding power of i think a Leinen vise. also for you guys that like a big wrench here's one for your memory.

apparently the yellow vise i posted adjusts (open and closes) with a foot pedal. anybody own one of these to share pictures or more information?
