cool ! How do you like it ? :)

It's pretty nice. I bought it mostly because I need the autoclean, and the Festool autoclean vac was $300 more. :scared:

Build quality is nice, but some things are still nicer on my Festool. i.e. the cable supplied is only 16AWG wire, which should be only good for about 10 amps. When you add a tool to the socket in the front, you could probably pull close to 15 amps. The Festool came with a 12AWG I think, which should be good up to 20 amps. The cable holder is easier on the Festool as well, but not a big deal.

It does seem quieter than the Festool though, and the double walled tub should be nice for durability.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1428085184.740680.jpg Does anyone know if there are any difference between Sandvik Belzer 1952m and Bahco 1952m? Sandvik are a little bit slimmer and some sizes are longer! Bahco are the newer version of 1952m, but i think sandvik are much better in strenght and holds up better! So is anyone sitting on more knowledge about these very nice and thin wrenches? Do not mix up Belzer 1952m with sandvik belzer 1952m! These wrenches are exactly the same as Bahco 1952m.

Very, very nice! :bowdown::thumbup:
Do you own a sandblaster or did you take it somewhere?
i bought one of these cheap sandblast cabinets from ebay for 80 bucks or so.

What do you mean "new"? Is there "old" batteries too?
I just won this 4Ah battery on ebay. Is it new or old? Differences? :headscrat
the old ones were 1.5AH, the new ones are 2.0AH and the newest ones are 2.5AH. 4.0AH is their large capacity battery right now. Who knows maybe they´ll make a 5.0AH battery too. :) But i think the 4.0AH battery is sufficient enough.

Nice restoration!
thanks :)

And as you've got this far, those PB doohickies are in fact Fondue forks....
cool !!!

did you already try it with a tool ? Does the fuse blow ?
Never heard of problems yet.
btw. here´s a topic about Starmix vacs and how to modify them so they can carry a systainer:

does it say germany on the sandvik wrench if you twist it 180 degrees? Sandvik moved production to the old bahco factory in argentina,i am not sure exactly when they stopped making the tools in germany.

My Sandvik belzer 111 wrenches look similar, but there are small differences between the german vs argentina made wrenches.

I was so sure on the coo! I just checked my sandvik belzer 1952m(only have 3pc with 10,15 and 21mm). I thou have a set from 6-30mm with bahco 1952m! The only wrench with Germany on it is the 21mm wrench! The 10mm is missing coo but look like a german made! But the 15mm also without coo look like a bahco, same shape, same thickness on the box end and open end and the same length! Bahco has a bigger offset than sandvik on both argentina and germany made ones! Funny thing, the argentina made 15mm wrench look precisely like a bahco, but the 10mm Arg.made look like a german!

I haven't tripped a breaker/fuse yet, but I believe the vac is 11 amps (at least on the Metabo version, the knob goes to 11 :) ), that's about the limit of 16AWG. My Festool sander is 720W or 6A, that would put it at 17A at full draw.

Yeah, thanks for linking that thread. I need to read that over again and figure out the docking situation.

I might just end up getting a cart for my systainers though, I've been looking at the Fetra Paketroller 1732.

I'm not sure who originated this design, but it's been copied a million times it seems if you look on eBay or Amazon under Magna Cart. Petra is one of the few that makes it in Germany.

Also, this came in.

Cord management is a bit fussy. I'm going to look into that Mafell/Metabo topper conversion, which has a cord wrap and should accommodate the hose a little easier.

As for systainer transport, the SYS Roll doesn't fold up at all, the footprint is what it is, which is really inconvenient for transport unless you have a work van. I think I can add some tabs to the folding cart to stabilize and it should be fine.

The Metabo burnisher is currently for refinishing my appliances, hopefully I'll be getting into more furniture fabrication and will be using it more.

Got some Wera Hex Plus in, made in the Czech Republic, like most of Wera's stuff.

I know that the GSB 19-2 RE is made in Russia and I would suspect the GSB 18 too, but I can't say anything about the quality.

But I do not think that the russian made impact drills are really bad.

Monte what's the backstory for spax?
Spax produces screws since 1823 in Germany. "Spax" is the synonym for woodworking screws in Germany. So if you go to a store and ask for Spax screws everybody knows what you mean even if they don´t carry Spax (which is seldom). So basically they´re good screws for woodworking. :)
They also manufacture other screws like wheels bolts and cylinder head bolts etc. for major car manufacturers like Audi, Porsche and Bentley. They also own the Trufast brand from the US.

Heh, not sure there's much to show.

Yeah the parts storage could be better...i think that will be solved with the next generation. yes you´re right, i thought you can fold the Sys roll...indeed thats inconvenient.....the prices are also a bit :(.......

Hey cool maybe you can show some pics when you use the burnishing machine !

I love spax screws, I use them all the time. Homedepot has them now, on the package they say made in Germany or USA. I believe they are setting up a actual production plant here in the US.

I'm gonna throw in another recommendation for Spax. Anyone who hasn't use them needs to give them a shot. I'm SO glad they made their way into the US market, they're all I use anymore.

Can you add direct links to youtube in future, the embedded videos don't work on my phone and its annoying having to click quote to grab the vid ID.
Metabo grinder looks like it can take some serious use, might have to get one.

I have a Fein WSS14-125 angle grinder that I'm not too fond of. Ergonomics seem weird, but it's also my newest grinder so maybe I'm not used to it.

I just ordered a Metabo WEPBA14-125 yesterday, should get it on Monday, and I'll have a little grinder shootout.:willy_nil

Looking forward to the comparo. I have the Metabo 6" with autobalancer that I use exclusively with a cut off wheel. Very smooth just like in the video. I never felt the need for a brake on a grinder. (unlike a skilsaw) Seems like the brake would tend to make the quicknut loosen, also another component to wear out.
