Pliers posted by Kiraj have reminded me that a few weeks ago I bought a pair of pliers without marks of any kind (which I never do), but the seller, an old man and that inspired me a lot of confidence, he said they were balances of the missing Horn German mark.:headscrat
Suddenly Horn basic batch fabricate, unmarked, to use mass.. someone knows?

Imagine the dilemma which will be changed by the philips ??, the black bag or red and black .... uhmmm I think we'd better buy philips ...:lol_hitti :D

I ended up getting the black and red for the Philips and I found a black and blue for the slotted. so now I have some cool colors for those screwdrivers. I found out they are made by Vessel in Japan :)

jetdawg,

Have you used the Irega slim adjustable wrench much? If yes, what are your impressions of it? Is there much play in the jaws?

Where did you purchase the Irega wrench?

The Channellock version is sold on Amazon and Summit Racing.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave,

I've not had an occasion to use it yet, I got it because I thought it was very cool. I also prefer the black handle though I imagine you will be satisfied with the ch'lock version. The quality is excellent though ironically the cost is higher than the channel locks. I just prefer the oem versions of things to their private labeled counterparts. Not much play in the jaws and I don't suspect the thin nuts you would use these on would require tremendous torque. We have a shop and I picked a couple up for myself from the 6" and 8" versions that came in.

I made a trek to Europe and picked up a few items from my dealer and friend Jens.

Hazet 5/16" bits:

He hooked me up with a really good price, as usual.

Any input on some air grinders with M10 spindle?

Got some Kullen&Mez knot brushes and would like to use something light, without tool balancers.

I´m afraid not. I have been looking in danish garden shops, and Zinck-Lysbro has not been marked "made in Denmark" for many years. It´s "made in EU". Looking into Fiskars (who owns Zinck-Lysbro) annual reports gave me no further information. But a link from a google-search gave some insight: A former employee states in his CV: (name), Workshop manager, Zinck-Lysbro, 1995-2004, Silkeborg, Denmark. (...) 2004: De-mounting of machines in Silkeborg, and installing in Poland.
So my guess would be, that all Zinck-Lysbro tools are now made in Poland.
Goodbye to 70 jobs in Denmark. Their "Classic Line" are still nice garden tools, though....

Hi ! Thanks for your information ! I only found the Zinck Lysbro leaf rake # 621 in a couple of stores here so i wondered because i never heard of the brand before but the tool was recommend to me for professional use. I think plastic leaf rakes are quite good for uneven surfaces because the tines are softer and also for concrete surfaces because they´re less noisy than their steel counterparts. I dunno if i will choose Zinck Lysbro or the german made "Mega Leaf" version though :)

The Megaleaf looks nice. Good price too. What i like about the classic line is the old fashioned look and feel. The spades are thick, stiff steel with riveted ash shafts. They feel like they will last forever. Most garden tools seams to have steel shafts and quite thin blades - Fiskars or Gardena style.

Compac 1.5T-HC jack. Low entry 98mm (under 4 ") High lift 800mm (31 1/2")

The back of the arm at the stickers is 6" from the ground in the lowest position.

Made in Denmark like it's nearest competitor AC-Hydraulics. Here in the UK I found Compac a bit cheaper.

That is a really nice looking trolley jack, how much did it set you back

£272 + VAT at Eurocarparts. Promocode EXTRA15 for 15% off

The Danish made jacks by AC-Hydraulics (called Weber in the UK) and Compac are in a different league price wise than the cheaper Chinese made stuff

http://compac.dk/

http://www.ac-hydraulic.dk/en/about-us/

Here's a Sealey 3 ton for comparison. A jack branded with numerous different names around the World. It doesn't fit under low slung cars or go very high.

The cashback sites like Quidco and Topcashback also work with Eurocarparts (for UK buyers) 7 to 10% back. You can also use any promotional codes on checkout so a total of 25% off is possible. Sounds generous but some big trade accounts get 40% discount.

I've noticed there are things on their website that don't show up on the site except via an external google search. Things sold mainly to the Trade like expensive airconditioning service machines, 4 post lifts etc.

I´ve not yet seen their classic line over here "live". (only the rake). Seems they´re for the scandinavian market ? But the pictures are promising ! I noticed that there are more and more Fiskars tools "Made in China" and Poland though....
