Elora 1/2 ratchet, extension and sockets.
The ratchet is W.Germany and have what looks to be a '89 date mark under the directional switch.
The sockets are 20mm, 22mm, 23mm, and 27mm. The latter three being W.Germany. The extension is also W.Germany.
You can see the difference between the W.Germany and Germany logo in the second pic.

Everything looks unused and the ratchet was a bit 'stiff' until I had worked it a bit and grease started to ooze out. The handle is hard rubber with just enough give to be very comfortable. I'm gonna 'need' to hunt me down some more Elora's with that handle. Nice and grippy and fit my hand just perfect. Besides, it looks cool.

Err, I mean, this is a terrible ratchet, don't bother looking. These ratchets are not the ratchets you are looking for.

Paid €8 for the tools and €19,15 for shipping from ebay.de.

Hello, friend of mine was chasing some 3/8 ball end hex sockets.
Wondering if anyone sells nice set or rail.
Can only see individual piece for sale.

Looks like a very nice driver and bits. I've got a teng one, I like it and I've beat the hell out of it, but it doesn't seem to hold a candle to yours!! Using a rubber hammer, can you get it to work? I usually need to break out a 2kg hammer to break loose those damned JIS screws on older japanese motorcycles. (that's probably why mine has completely mushroomed)

Tip for future photos: upload them on imgur.com, next select 'large thumbnail' in the bottom right corner and copy the generated BBCode here.
This way your pictures won't wind up all huge and annoying to scroll through. + imageshack *****, they delete your photos after a while, imagine this thread without pictures:shocking:

Peeb,

Can you please tell us where you source (ex: locally, eBay) the new, old stock pliers? It is amazing the condition of the pliers and the boxes since some of the tools are 30 to 40 years old!

Thanks,

Dave

From what I recall he sourced them locally in Thailand at Hardware stores but the supply is drying up because he bought them all up

This thread just decided. No Stahlwille for me. I'm going with the Hazet for deep offsets. Great photo. thanks.

The Hazet finish is nice, the Stahlwille is beefier though.

Hazet on the left on all three photos:

How about some vintage and not so vintage Russian tools?

These are used for Russian WWII reenacting. At the top is a modern Russian military style axe. I quite like using it. Below it with the yellow handle is a modern Russian military hatchet that I bought hoping to use the handle on the 1916 dated WWI Russian military hatchet, but to no avail. The eye in the 1916 hatchet is huge - nearly 1 1/4' by 2" (eye pic below) and I have been having no luck finding a handle for it. Handle should be styled similar to the Russian axe and around 16" to 18" long. Any help appreciated... Missing from this photo is the Austrian WWII era mountain climbing piton hammer that I could not find tonight.

On the left we have the gunner's tool kit for the Russian DSHK heavy machine gun (equivalent to the US .50 M2HB) with its large wooden mallet and smaller engineer's (?) hammer. Any Russian mechanic worth his salt will have a large selection of hammers with which to work on things. Once watched one install a vehicle water pump by hammering on the end of the water pump drive shaft...

I know there are a few more hammers here and there, but putting hands on them in a halfway organized garage was not happening tonight.
