I didn't get pictures of everything while it was out of my box so the next few photos have some non "old world" tools in them as well

You seem to have resisted the influence of this board about as well as I have...

It's scary how similar our boxes mirror each other aside from the hex wrenches.

Great stuff!

No Gedore, VBW or Orbis ? :D

Unfortunately no! I tried to get vbw pliers but shipping to Australia is very expensive, and logic usually gets in the way. I might have to look on Amazon.de, that's where all the good stuff is

Wow those Wiha's look really nice, what is the part number on them?

Wiha 32818, they're quite hard to find if you don't live in the US though. They're almost too pretty to use.

Man german gummies are the best. There's this one brand with a bear in the name which are fantastic. Wish I could get my hands on some!

That is an interesting Gedore, both box ends going the same direction.
Here is an older looking Wera bit screwdriver, recent flea market find. Neat thing is it has both collar and magnet bit retention. Any age help on this one?

Amazon is very inconsistent with what it will, and won't ship. I have nada a few deliveries from the DE site though.

Shipping out of Germany is usually reasonably priced, Shipping out of US is usually barely acceptable/ludicrous.

One particularly amusing example a few days ago, ( ebay or amazon, can't recall which) a Kurt vice for c. $650 USD , and shipping of c $1250 USD.

For VBW try:

Your right there, shipping from the US is ridiculous. For three wiha pliers from the U.S. I paid ~90AUD. Still worked out alot cheaper than buying in oz though

Thanks for the link, that site is great! I've also ordered stahlwille and knipex from http://http://tbs-aachen.de which is quite good if you haven't heard of it before.

Hi guys,

Keen utility boots (US made) aren't sold in Europe unfortunately

I'm in the market for a a pair of good utility boots like these:
http://www.keenfootwear.com/product/shoes/men/louisville-6in-met

Do you have any brands/models you would recommand ? So far, my personal experience is: I have quite narrow feet so RedWing are a big no no for me. Timberland are no longer what they used to be.

Please enlighten me.

The mini L-Boxxes can be locked/stacked together like the larger ones:

They also fit into a L-Boxx...

and also into a i-Boxx:

they´re made out of food-safe plastic:

Hey Purty. Have you used the Vessel Impacto yet ? Does it have enough "oomph" ?
I have used the Impacta drivers a few times on some stubborn screws and they seemed to work pretty well. I haven’t had a chance to use them on any really stuck screws yet so I can’t comment on how they would do there. However I will say that they are a lot lighter than I was expecting. I don’t know the actual weights but they feel a lot lighter than a “thru-tang” heavy duty screwdriver and are certainly lighter than a typical hand impact.

Beautiful stuff mrperty! Although I often wonder, why does one need so many hex keys?

“need” I don’t, however metric hex keys are my most used tool (bicycles), so I don’t mind having a variety.

Your welcome Champo.

I certainly have !

I have had 6 orders from them, total c.$3130 AUD since 2012.

I even visited them last year as side excursion from a day trip to Remscheid. Nice shop.

Hi pals,

a question..........how are Facom adjustable wrenches compared to Irega and Bahco ?

Especially the play between the jaws !?

I'am interested in Facom's, but the prices here are a "little" bit exaggerated :wtf: are they worth it ?
