It seems they have various suppliers (Made in Germany, Made in EU or China...) In the US market they also sell made in USA products....So it´s difficult to tell. Sometimes it also might change or there are several versions (Saw cutting discs "Made in Germany" but also "Made in EU").I like their consumables a lot. Dunno who actually makes them ? Monte ? Hermes ? Pferd ?
K.I.S.S. principle: If it drives, keep itMonte you are right!
I still have my Golf MK4 serviced by my self and drives like new after 225K miles or 360K km.
Not in a rush for a new car but I was thinking for an Alfa Romeo with more hp and double wishbones.
I will keep the golf though because it does everything well and as a back up
As long as the owner family don´t want to sell.....Let's hope Fein will not be acquired by Panasonic anytime soon. [emoji52]

Panasonic already produces some of their cordless tools in a joint venture with Hilti.

What's wrong with Ruko, I thought they are very good?
Thanks
As does Makita, pull up their recip saws and compare.

And Fein uses Milwaukee to make their impact driver/wrenches....in China.![]()
My metabo PSE 1200 reciprocating saw is shared with Porter Cable. Oddly too for a german company, its made in the USA. So maybe its Porter Cable that produces it?

Makita 90.-$, Hilti 180.-$....As does Makita, pull up their recip saws and compare.![]()

http://www.threadtools.com/Files/Taps technical info.pdfMonte, how come you went with spiral point over spiral flute if you are only going to be using them for power tapping?
http://www.threadtools.com/Files/Taps technical info.pdf
I want to use them for through holes and the spiral point is the recommended type. Spiral flute is for bottom holes i think.

Dewalt also sells MetaboRidgid also sold Metabo grinders for a while.
Snap-On sells Metabo grinders and recip saw as well.
What's this world coming to?![]()
yeah should work too !That's understandable, I use mine in my drill press, mainly for through holes but on the rare occasion a blind hole and works a treat.
the paint looks nice ! The box too ! for free !?!? NZ$ 80.-Neat little sample from a toolbox company, was enquiring about finishes for a big box, the guy told me he would coat and send me a small piece of scrap as a sample, this turned up, the finish is very close to my old Stahlwille socket sets, awesome.

they look identical to my Aldi Workzone

Je suis parisien...
Yes paint is really nice, great little car/boat box, with a few spanners, screwdrivers, hammer, pliers etc.
I called to see if he wanted any money but he said no. I have already spent a lot of money with them though![]()
So in a nutshell, which German manufacturers are making their OWN stuff without any rebranding or cobranding stuff or buying items elsewhere ?
what he saidDUSS !!!!....only the vacs are from Starmix.
what actually does Hilti manufacture themself.....? Rotary hammers in Austria, some stuff in Lichtenstein...and...?....Makita also makes circular saws for hilti among other things.

or bicycle box
sounds like a nice store
what he said
If you don´t count vacuums:
Baier would be on 2nd place since they buy 1 tool (at least the motor)
Festool: 2 ?
Kress: i think they buy 3 tools elsewhere
Mafell: i guess 4 tools (3 cordless drills + 1 router)
....

How many oil wells did you have to sell to get them ?

Also -- not sure how entirely useful it would be, but I saw in this thread:
http://festoolownersgroup.com/other...ences-in-specs-between-good-brands-shop-vacs/
that Metabo offers an adapter for the Systainer on some of their vacuums.
I've got the ASR35 -- don't know if it's solely a US-model or not.
But I'd love to find an adapter just to have to carry more gear in a more organized way.

A google search of several pages doesn't reveal if the ASR35 takes this part or if there's another part no. for that vacuum.
