As for the newer grinders.. no I didn't , I have a bosch variable speed for light grinding/finishing and a Flex for cutting both 125mm and both south of 10 years old

nice Flex and Bosch grinder ! Your green grinder is not bad at all, inside is a blue tool ! Made in Germany, constant electronics and Bosch blue quality ! They also offered the green PWS 13-125 which was a blue GWS 14-125 with a different electronic module and 100 watt less power. Everything else was the same.

If the compressor really delivers 700 L/min then it´s a good deal !!!
The question is how is the quality, is it an original italian product or a knock off etc....

The Gedore Rotband-Plus hammers have a extra safety plate to secure the hammer head....other than that they´re quite similar...

Gedore and Picard both claim their top screw attachment is stronger than their traditional ring bands or stakes. Have a read of this pdf.

I own a Beta toolbox myself, a classic C24 and a lot of Beta tools. I am very pleased with the price/quality ratio on their toolboxes.But now I need some more storage space. I have been thinking about buying the same one as you have.
The only thing downside with this box is it has only 7 drawers, I am hoping they will come with an 8 drawer version next year. I am not to fond of the deep drawers below, I keep my powertools somewhere else.

I seem to recall I read somewhere on this forum that some DeWalt grinder models were made in Germany, by Metabo? Could be wrong about this though...

Reason I ask, is because I rescued this one from the dumpster.

The switch has broken and the brushes are worn. Replacements are cheap, so this one's getting another go!

I'm looking to get a couple of these German-made Gapola crossbow dart guns (with darts!) -- they come in the long version and pistol version -- for Christmas presents. They're USD75 in the USA. That's quite a bit. And I mightn't balk as much if it weren't for the pretty hefty markup (looks like they're retailing in Germany for about 20-30 euro with extra darts for about 1-2 euro each).

Looks like I can't get them from Amazon UK (though the price is right) because of shipping restrictions. But on Amazon.de it's looking OK, but I'm almost completely ignorant of German -- can some kind (and fluent) soul take a quick look and let me know if any of these listings will ship to the US and if so for how much?

Would love to get two of them and possibly some extra darts but would rather not break the bank, so if I can bring them in from Europe, that'd be ideal.

If someone can help arrange it (or at least point me in the right direction of a reseller who'll ship for a reasonable price to US) perhaps I could do the same in return!

Weicon and Jokari are the OEM´s. Weicon was the distributor for Jokari for years, but then they decided to make their own tools. So there are 2 makers. Both offer similar, but not identical tools.

If you go to his website (http://ultimategarage.com/) and then click on Facom, and then on any ratchet, you can download the current price list which contains COO info. The J171 has apparently been replaced by the JL171, and the JL171 is made according to this in Taiwan. However, I am not sure about the J171, probably France or Italy, as suggested below. Miskin in his post below is probably right that this is a great ratchet no matter of COO, but personally I like the idea that Facom is from Europe.

By the way, the 3/8 Proto swivel head J5257F is according to my best knowledge identical to the corresponding Facom and made in Italy (and available at Zoro for $42.54. Please correct me if I´m wrong, because these swivel heads in 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4 are next on my list.

Are this the "Made in Holland" ones or is it from their new factory in Slovakia?

Anyone familiar with this brand? It is from the mid-seventies, my father bought it to use on his moped. It looks pretty good after all those years lying in a toolbox among rusty stuff. The colour differs also a little from most other wrenches, (it is no so clear on this pictures) but it has kind of copperlike tone to it.
