I agree Voodoo. I have pair of Heyco pliers (not sure if Heyco made them or someone else). They're pretty junky. I'd put them on par with cheap chinese junk. I gave them to my brother in law. Felt kinda bad doing that, probably should've thrown them away.
car tool kit pliers ?
Monte,
Nice socket. I'm curious.....where have you encountered a 30mm?
BTW, did someone before you use a philips on a pozi screw and completely trashed the set-screw?
1996 Opel Corsa (a tiny german car :)) axle nuts...
yeah looks like that :) but it wasn´t me :) i swear :D who knows how often the discs were changed without using a new screw... luckily i didn´t have to remove the screw...i only changed the axle boots...

since the pincer method didn´t work so well i had to make a decision...: eat more spinach or buy a special tool :) The decision was simple:

:D If you have to remove them, you're set anyway....because I know you have the appropriate tool to remove those ******* set-screws.

I've never used that type of band clamp tool. They are for ear-type bands right..... like these?

That is a very nice tool Monte, but very specific, and very pricey for what it does, I think you should have eaten Spinach :)

Yeah, I've noticed this in previous posts. It becomes a pain to scroll through 16 huge photo's of the same pliers... Two photo's would be more than sufficient

I agree, even though I am guilty of doing the same sometimes.

New powertools...[/URL]

Nice stuff decaf, congrats. I have that same brennenstuhl power extention, but only 25 meters. I don't know how good it is, haven't used it yet, but it looks a bit on the cheap side.

Excellent got one last month love it!

Thanks, friends who have it, say its excellent.

I bought that exact same tool a year ago!

Very useful tool, not only because of the unique things it can do, but also because it's so versatile!

Probably my second most used power tool now!

Enjoy...

Thanks, in the summer I have interiors work in an apartment, painting doors and changing the parquet.

I have doing laminated flooring and drywall work with it the last month. It's great.

Being able to cut in the door frames to accommodate the floor gives such a clean look. Nice clean holes for power outlets in drywall.

Fein really makes a top end tool.

Yes, you have right, Fein make top end tools, especially grinders :D

Three weeks ago I helped a relative set parquet. Its rustic country floor, 1200mm x 80mm x 21 mm, made from Croatian oak., room si about 22m2.
I ordered the same parquet for my apartment.

Here some pictures:

Fein owner here too, also the Bosch cordless as well.
They are brilliant, they do a lot of things easily that were hard to do in the past with other methods.

I keep looking at Britool breakback torque wrenches. I have one (3/4") and it's so nice to use i want more!

How are the Stahlwilles? Everything i have of these is perfect quality.
It really feels like a proper, well built industrial tool. A Gedore (rahsol) torcofix is a nice torque wrench, but kinda feels like a toy compared to this one :p
I also really like the fact that you don't have to unwind it back to zero every time. The slider is a lot faster. I've become a bit of a stahlwille addict...

i think the Torcoflex is a special sale edition, the Torcofix is the regular version of that wrench, the Dremaster is the upgraded newer version and the Dremometer is the best.

Yes, I've looked at that Toolteam site before but their shipping rates are ridiculous. That Hazet is 36 euros to the UK.....

Interesting. I was under the impression that to clamp those down nicely, the third "jaw" was needed to keep the ear from rising. I guess I was wrong.

Not always is there the luxury of having wide open space to use that tool. Does Hazet one for use in cramped locations? ...like, do they have a 90* one?

I don't have any of these at hand, so I can only find a picture online. These are the same as what I've got. Their edges don't line up well and can be easily turned into a saw. :lol_hitti
The pliers on the pic look good... :);)
Seems like the sort of tool only prestige car dealerships have.
That´s what i want to be ;)
At least i have the tool...now i only need the prestige cars for my prestige car dealership :)
Or...someone with TAS (tool acquisition syndrome)
I always say to myself: Better tool acquisition syndrome than down syndrome
or even cheaper here:
http://www.amazon.de/dp/B001CA118W/

or noname version:

Hazet also offers replacement jaws which can be used for Audi steering gear boots.

yeah i thought that too. Maybe other clamps need that third jaw...? Or maybe the indent in the ear helps to keep the ear flat ?

I only have seen this tool and copies/variations from other companies (Eszet, Klann, Heyco....).
I think if the wheel is removed you´ll find a position so you can use the tool :)
you must... :D

On some CV joints there's very little clearance and if the crimp isn't flattened down it with clip the hub and break. Oetiker clamps for rubber airlines/coolant pipes and such are often crimped without being flattened, it's only the tension of the crimp that's important, but in some cases (VAG plastic CV boots) the flattening does make it a tighter crimp and less likely to loosen.
