That's not a particularly secure lock. Even with a hardened shackle.

If you want a very secure one, consider the ABUS 82/90 hidden shackle lock.
picked in about 50 seconds :)

Hello guys,
I am from Germany but registered in this forum because I have the impression that you are more of tool affectionados than we germans, although me do make great tools ;)

This week I picked up two sets of screwdrivers at my local tool dealer for a good price from wera. The model is not listed anywhere else but that dealer. The look of the tips reminds me of Pb Swiss, I don't know any other brand with those tips. The handle also looks Pb Swiss. No coo marking anywhere. What do you think?

Hi Freddddan, and welcome!

Hmm! Interesting drivers! The handles certainly look similar to the PB Classic, and are in similar colours. To determine if they were PB though, I think you would have to look at yours and PB side by side!

I'm not sure about the blades. Although 'hollow ground' the smaller sizes don't have the rounded edges to allow for countersunk screws, which PB do. Also, the finish looks to be more of a 'matte' than the PB, and the size 1 and 2 blades look larger than they should, but I'd probably need to see the drivers for real to be sure. It's hard to tell from a picture. They could be old stock, or made for Wera for a particular contract.

'VSM' on the handles refers to the Swiss specification for screwdriver tips, which these seem to be! All Swiss spec drivers, including those made in Germany, have similar tips!

Thanks for your reply, didn't know that about Vsm!
The set with four slotted and two philips was only 14 euro and the torx set only 19 euro. He also has them on eBay.

Here are some more pics of the drivers and a nice 10 inch vbw diagonal cutter I found on eBay for the price of a coffe, and the genius knipex cobra 150mm

Welcome to this thread, Freddddan.

Those are very peculiar items you got and I surely have never seen them before.

The only other companies that I know of that still offer hollow-ground tips is Grace (American company). AFAIK, Witte once used to offer them too.

Hopefully Monte has more input. :D

Just found that Wera also makes Kraftform drivers with that tip, look at this link. Must be a special for Switzerland. Also found found Cimco divers with that tip.

Edit: Also Stahlwille, Kraftwerk and SW-Stahl make them.

I posted this on the vintage tools forum, but it was recommended that I post the pics here to see if anyone has more info on the manufacturer and/or era of build.
It seems Henry C. Schaerf was a company from New York.

Hopefully Monte has more input. :D
not much more than freddddan :)
SKG still offers VSM drivers and Hazet offered VSM drivers in the past too...

Stahlwille and Cimco(both made by Witte), Wera, KRAFTWERK, SW-Stahl, Futuro(made by Pb) and SKG still offer these VSM screwdrivers.

Wiha and Hazet used to offer them as well. Witte has them in the Product list but the dealer in US I contacted said they can't order it.

Available in different profiles. Green is Euro High Flow. Just make sure you match the blow gun trigger color with the color of the pushbutton on the coupler. These will be replacing the pocket blowguns.

Scissors I think they are worth to having them from Facom, cool must be Taiwan. Check how they adapt to the palm size and there is also a wire cutter.

That is one of my toolboxes with the good tools let's say. Allit made in Germany , same as Hazet but 1/3 the cost. They are a bit flimsy and would never pay the Hazet price. They feel good otherwise but the trays could be organised a bit better. Nice touch is the boxes on top where you put a lot of bits and bobs.

I thought I'd share this cool video made by German Tool Reviews at Youtube. I know that there are Belzer tool fans here and maybe he can get some thoughts from you guys:
