That looks like it has been TIG welded, very neat looking weld :). Is that the Merkle welder?

New screwdrivers that I don't need, but the price was right and they were old stock it seems.

Hazet Black Handled Screwdrivers are the Best!
Don't like the 2k/3k-Handle Stuff.

Nice torque adaptor - well made
If you turn it 90 degrees you don't have to change the torque setting. :)
i don´t know...are you sure ...? Didn´t pay much attention in math :)

What I like most of these is the shear action of the cutter, front for thinner steel/ paper etc. and the rear for pins, wire.58d6c92480c38f50f1c63fb77ade866c.jpg

I find these calipers very convenient for non precise measurements and do not have to worry if they get dirty or break.

Is that made in the old world? My impression of Draper tools has been they just re-brand things. Mostly cheap stuff. I bought a screwdriver from them once, and it was junk. I've not seen any offerings from them that looked worth their cheap prices.

That depends on whether you consider China part of the old world or not.

No coo but I believe they all now coming from far east. There was a company in UK, Anglia Tools, making them here for colleges, schools, etc. And they were really top quality and quite close to a proper vernier caliper, kind of. These new ones are a bit sloppy but to throw around for approximate valuesbis ok!

Is it because of premium price tags?

I guess so, outside of industry not to many people have that much use for the bigger grinders and the cheaper ones from Makita, Hitachi, Dewalt etc work just fine. The Fein will be much nicer for extended periods of work with the soft start and turnable handle.
Just got to get a 5" Fein now.

I have a question on the quality of these wrenches. I picked up some 1" and larger Rahsol No. 9 wrenches that say made in Germany on Ebay for cheap. Once I received them I was surprised with both how light they are and how huge the open end is. I compared it to my 15/16th Craftsman USA wrench which is significantly heavier and has much less metal on the ends. I wasn't expecting Snap-On or Hazet quality but I was surprised that they appear so poor for made in Germany wrenches.

My question is: are these wrenches useless or is the quality sufficient for home mechanic use? Should I send them back or are they at least decent for occasional use? I don't want a cheap wrench that breaks the first time I use it, and I am concerned that it is way to0 beefy to fit in tight spaces. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Todays autojumble find. Bahco combination wrenches 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 mm for 100 SEK, 10,5 €. The 14 mm have been a bit ground on the outside of the ring end. Pity I missed that, there wer more of them from the same seller. I suppose seroius collectors would be put of by numbers being stamped on the them, buT I don't care, I rather collect them for sentimental value. One is made Argentina, the other swedish, but not Stockholm. I guess it's been discussed earlier, but if someone could chime in and teel when they were produced where I'd be interested.

It is very efficient.I have use it many times. It is used mainly in tight places.

Thanks Chrissalas
I need to change it to a friend a front axle bearing, the axle nut is very tight and we do not have air gun or cordless impact wrench. We will try this with a 30mm impact socket.
You think we have a chance?

This tool is used mainly to remove and sometimes to install crankshaft screws.

And if you compare a 1" Craftsman with a 1" Rahsol ?...:)

Yeah, I know you're right but we needed to undo a tight axle nut and how we do not have a air impact gun I thought about this tool but I have never used it

its kinda expensive , do you have a good quality breaker bar ? id spend my money on a good bar first , maybe 3/4 " drive if you feel its stupidly tight

I haven't a 3/4 breaker bar
Prices are about the same here in italy on amazon.
Hand impact powerbar(SW-Stahl) ~ 50€
Breaker bar (Sealey) 3/4 (600mm) ~ from 55€ to 100€
Next week we will try with a 1/2 breaker bar(also from Sealey) from my work ,hope to not break the 1/2 square
