I'm not into Nasa :bounce: but simple automotiv. SAM is from france if i'm correct, never had them in hands. Sensotork do the same job, as well you can connect it to laptop, it has a 1 % accuracy so its about nasa i guess :willy_nil

713R/6 it's next thing i will get someday :shocking:

So, this is the rest of stahlwille colection :headscrat , one day will get all sizes of ratchet heads for sure  For now almost all of them are from Facom... rest is stahlwille.

About Manoskop 730N ... still better to go about old 730 series... but those are my daily use. 10-50 nm and 20-100 nm. To select proper torque you need to turn the knob and with 730 it's a matter of seconds.

Still have a Torqueleader ADS 40, but it's not really in use anymore.

Regards Oktawian

P.S

Here we have lots of people from "old world", need some help with :

Okay, let's briefly forget about SAM, Stahlwille, etc. Here is some tool **** from Soviet Union :D

At first sight this thing looks like waterpump pliers or something. It has the inscription "Chromovanadium" stamped on one of the handles. I will say even more, here is the manufacturer's logo! IIRC, this abbreviation means "Leningrad factory "Instrument" :D

P71127-110953.jpg P71127-111014.jpg P71127-111033.jpg

It looks not aesthetically pleasing and roughly made, but durable, right? Or not :D Just look at the jaws and handles. It seems they are parallel to each other :eyecrazy: If you try to grab any detail with this thing, you will fail.

Funny thing about soviet union. I just found a long lost double ended ring wrench when i was doing little inventory of my tools :D. I’ve used it propably 10years ago last time. It aint the prettiest or so but always got the job done with it(allthought allways afraid will it break when picking it up :)).

Real nice stahlwille torque collection octawian you got there. Few years ago when i replaced my china torque stuff away i looked long for stahlwille manoskop but couldnt justifyi the price for me(hobbyist) and decided to get hazet torque wrenches 10-60nm and 60-320nm. I dont use them every day but weekly and so far they operate as new(try to keep them as clean and as good as i can). Dont remember the models but shows in the picture

When it comes to the Soviet tools, there are two options. Tools just will do their job for a long time, or they can break down right in your hands. In any case, when we talk about Soviet tools, we often mean bad ergonomics and poor finish.

I don't know about modern Russia, but in Ukraine Antonov plant buys hand tools from Stahlwille, air tools from Chicago Pneumatics, and cutting tools from Guehring.

Plant 410 of Civil Aviation buys mostly Chinese hand tools, power tools from DeWalt and Makita, and I have no idea about the cutting tools they buy.

Aircraft repair plant Aviakon likes Toptul and Dynabrade a lot.

Motor Sich prefers Gedore and Bosch.

I don't have a lot of information about Yuzhmash, but from time to time they order Bosch, Makita, and Snap-On.

Hello experts,

What do you think between these three angle grinders in the order presented? Is there any other brand with similar features that is not made in Ch***?

Flex and Suhner seems to be almost double the price with Suhner very difficult to find it online.

WEV 10-125 QUICK: 2800-10500(8800 at rated load)rpm/ vibration 6ms, 2.1Kg, output 590W, 90 deg head rotation (anti-kick, constant speed, Restart protection, Soft start)

FLEX L 3410 VR QUICK: 2900-1100(rated speed 11700???)rpm/ vibration 7ms, 2.2Kg, output 880W, 90 deg??? head (anti-kick, constant speed, Restart protection, Soft start)

Suhner UWG 10-R125: 4200-1000(rated speed ???)rpm/ vibration ???, ???Kg, output ???W, 90 deg??? head (anti-kick???, constant speed, Restart protection, Soft start??)

THANK YOU!

No cash. Cashless payments only

Interesting to see the variation of preferences.

Preferences depend on buying budget. The buying budget depends on the amount of financing. All these plants, except Motor Sich, are state-owned. That often means a lot of bureaucracy

We have a saying "Foolishly you can break even your own ****". So there are some situations in which no tool will survive. Yes, Soviet made tools gonna die too :lol_hitti

I've just bought a Bosch GLI12V-330 LED light to go alongside the rest of my 12V range, all of which I am pleased with and rate.

However this LED light has an audible buzz which does not go away. Tried three different batteries and all the same.

Has any other users found the same issue (i.e. "they all do that Sir") with the product? Or do I possibly have a defective unit?
(There is no local shop to try out another unit, unfortunately).

The quality of light is ideal, but the buzz is annoying!

Not a direct comparison, but my older (2+years) 10.8V versions of that light are silent in operation.

What is going on here?

Hitachi buys Metabo and Makita Dolmar.

What is next? A big monopoly to end up with pattern tools that are cheap consumables?

Monte,

You have to do something amd put an end to these acquisitions.

Also, don't forget my question about grinders. I need to buy now that they are made in Germany.

I can find the ones made abroad anywhere[emoji6]

There is no need to look for another angle grinder.

Metabo WEV 15-125

Powerful, light weight for that kind of power, full of features and miG of course.
I (and many others colleagues) use it every day in work and I can't find any cons.
A friend bought the same grinder a while ago and he's very happy with it! Pics are from his new grinder.

Made in europe ratchet strap????
yes :D ?

Hello Monte

Nice Dolmar chainsaw ! Did I see Makita on the box somewhere ?

Two great chainsaw websites
ArboristSite.com
ChainsawCollectors se.
scarrylarry
Thanks !
Makita bought Dolmar in 1991.
Thanks for the links !

Nooooo Monte I actually forgot the part number and purpose of those mercedes Knipex. What a mystery! Mercedes gives no description to their tools ):

On the good side I bought so much Pb Swiss
Hopefully the mechanics know how to use that tool :)
Buying PB Swiss is never wrong ;)

Does it mean that Dolmar is better than Stihl?
why ? :D
Stihl produces here too.... Or because I bought it ? It was cheaper than Husky or Stihl..... :D The price/performance ratio is better. And it has a magnesium motor housing whereas the competitors are made of plastic....

THANK YOU!
Because of the price/performance ratio i would get the Metabo. It also has the slimmest housing of these 3.
More amps might be better though :D

Is there any other brand with similar features that is not made in Ch***?
Chile ? :D ;)

Hello Miskin and Monte,

Thank you for the replies.

I have considered the more powerful WEVA 15-125 and I am not sure because of the weight.

Do you think that more power is needed for DIY jobs?

400 gr more is quite considerable when manoeuvring the grinder with one hand[emoji123].

I have used the Bosch GWS 7 115 at 1.9kg and it is Comfortable but only 700w.

Done some sniffing and Bahco is my winner when is about spanners.

If you want to buy something that is blink blink :D for sure it can be gedore or stahlwille but you need to have rich parents, if you want to buy proper stuff for work and cash matters, bahco is the answer :willy_nil .

More here :

They should be doing somethig like this with all the tools. To touch them, feel in hand and try them in the field, not just show some pictures in clean hand :lol_hitti

Just to say that you can get good offers for Stahlwille, Hazet, etc. if you are not in a hurry.

The fact that so many imports exist have made the top companies to lower the prices considerably because of the competition.

Is the 10-125 ok for DIY? I am not a pro mechanic nowadays, on the papers at least...

I have seen a very small number of the Argentinean made one's here in Ireland, honestly you could spot them a mile off, they didn't look the best at all. They might preform better than they look, I don't know.

There are diamond cutting blades for angle grinders, table saws and power cutters.

Grinding cup wheels.

Diamond drill bits for drilling rigs.

Made in Ukraine by Di-Star. AFAIK they make some diamond cutting blades for Hilti and Cedima. Pics are clickable.

Finally bought this awesome tool! Stihl TSA 230. Bought it as the kit with the battery and charger. Got it for a good deal and got two additional blades thrown in.
