How about this ?

Stumbled on these from Wera (from Zyklops line).... ordered a 1/4" adapter (8784 A1) to try out.
They also have 3/8" and 1/2" adapters.
How about this ?

That's a tough looking can presumably designed for cold weather use ?
It's based on the much copied German WW2 design but without the thin steel.
I believe it can withstand at least -20 Celsious degree temperature in northern Russia. The rubber ring is still working well after 30 years.
Monte and China do not go well together[emoji6][emoji848]Are those compressors made in China Monte ?
I've been looking for one that size which isn't...

Does anyone know the OEM of this Würth ratchet, or the cost from Würth?

Have you tried drilling into that Wiha handle to get more shaft length adjustment? One of the KC Tools reviews mentions doing so, but I've not gotten around it to it on mine.
I strongly suspect that my snips are not made in Germany, because if so they would be marked as such. Maybe US market models have a COO stamped. Mine are direct German imports.
I also took a second look at some Knipex scissors I bought from Chad's Toolbox a while ago. No COO on these either.

Zoro claims Italy for these, too; KC Tool is silent as to COO. Does anyone know who makes these for Knipex?
I wonder if Knipex buys the bare tool from Intercable and fits its own handles, which is sufficient to allow them to be described as german. I think the law says something like "the last significant manufacturing operation" determines the COO.
Does Knipex own this company?
Same here. There are many stores who sells Makita, but very few who sell Hitachi and offline it´s even worse since there is only 1 big box store chain who sells Hitachi...Speaking of Japanese power tools, Makita is really strong. Spare parts are affordable and inexpensive, there are a lot of service centers. But we have a completely different situation with Hitachi. A lot of spare parts are unavailable, sometimes you have to wait for a couple of months. Moreover, their service is terrible. I'm talking about Ukraine now, but in Russia they have a very similar situation.
nopeWhat do others think? Am I on the right lines? Should I sell my 12-odd Bosch tools and buy Makita?![]()

thanks for the pics !!Just few pics from today's exhibition.

Most likely made in Italy by BetakutI recently bought these Knipex snips from amazon.de (not a third party on amazon), model 95 05 190. Amazon shipped them in bubble wrap pouch.
Maybe made by IsotoolsThe Intercable plastic pliers look very similar to the Knipex ones. I suspect they're made in the same factory - but whose?

Hello everyone that remembers me, and the ones that don't
I have been gone for a couple of years. I didn't quit using or buying tools, I just lost the time and energy to post here about it. I have continued to read the thread when I have found time though.
About six months ago I found some energy and then I started an Instagram account for my tools. Follow https://www.instagram.com/handtools/ if interested, I post regularly with mostly old world tool content.
*snip*

Here's something interesting. On the small version, the jaws and bolt head are slightly different between Knipex and Intercable:

But on the large version, they are identical:

Speaking of Bessey, look at this disgrace I just got.

For the kitchen maybe, for the car for limited use (loose dirt in the trunk etc.). It won´t **** up much and you also won´t be able to get the carpet really clean. It depends how "clean" is "clean" for you thoughHi Monte,
Is this Bosch vac adequate for the kitchen and the car cleaning with regards to suction? Runtime I don't mind that much.
Thanks
Thanks, Monte. That looks like a match to me. Do you know anything about Betakut's reputation generally?
It appears there's definitely some Knipex brand premium. On amazon.it the Betakut 899/5,5 is 15,21 EUR and the Knipex 95 05 190 is ~9 EUR more on amazon.it. That said, they were cheaper than I could've gotten them here by quite a bit. Betakut does not seem to be available in the US, from a quick search.
nice selection !You're welcome! A little bit of Toptul from our store.
Not sure if they are just using old images but their 'new tools' sold by Heyco are marked 'West Germany.' Somebody needs to tell them about the wall.
Or they want to offer historically correct tools for owners of cars pre-1990
