Recently received from Japan: Toyota 09051-1C100, a 16oz/450g ball peen hammer made by One Hand in Japan. Pretty good, simple hammer for $14 from Toyota Japan (before any shipping).

Interesting. First seller assures us “This Hammer 450G is manufactured to the specifications of your vehicle” and the second guy offers an “unlimited mile warranty”.
Any specific manufacturers in question? Because I doubt that Felo for example produces it under a license agreement (and why would they turn to a Japanese manufacturer?)
Probably been talked about before but, Tsunoda look very similar to Engineer. Wondering if Tsunoda make them both?

it's also interesting that there's a JIS logo on those engineer diagonal cutters.
i thought that e.g. vessel doesn't put that mark on their tools because JIS doesn't license its mark out anymore? or maybe that's just for the (obsolete?) cruciform driver JIS standard?

FWIW, I don't think Felo actually makes socketry items, including bit ratchets and ratcheting screwdrivers...they import them from Taiwan.

I had no idea Toyota thought they needed a foothold in the hammer market. Maybe it makes sense in Japan?
Nice-looking hammer despite all of that!

That would be the Heyco-Werk Ireland Ltd. factory in County Mayo. But KC Tool shows a Ireland COO for the Heyco sockets.

Hope you didn't pay too much for shipping...
You do realize Toyota has a global parts system, and you can order any part for any car from anywhere in the world (as long as it's still being made)?
i.e.

I ordered from the 1st link, was cheapest with shipping to me. They cancelled the order stating unavailable. My usual go to places for Toyota parts (also dealers) all say unavailable also.
Where did you order from? I so want 2 of them. Thanks for posting.
Yes, BTDT. I figured this group would get there too, without my acting like a know-it-all.
I got that hammer as part of an order with some other stuff not available in the US from http://jp-carparts.com/.
They were fast, professional, accurate, easy to communicate with, and shipping was pretty reasonable all things considered. On a relatively lightweight $35 order, the shipping was $22 and probably took less than a week door to door. I'd use them again.
The Vessel sockets with the T-Handle are also of a different design than the Vessel socket sets. There's a video on the Vessel socket set here:
The socket box/set looks Taiwanese with the knurling and mixed matt/glossy finish. The glossy sockets with the T-Handle don't lock but appear to be Japanese unless I'm wrong?
A company produces tanks made of stainless steel. Because
of a special chemical and mechanical surface treatment they
are suitable for the storage of ultrapure gases. The semi-finished tanks are supplied from abroad; the surface treatment
is carried out in Germany.
The final product may be designated as “Made in Germany” if it is the surface treatment that is crucial to the
quality of the product.

How did you find the hammer on that web site? Inputting the part number in the search box returns no results.

I knew the Toyota/One Hand hammer part number before going on the jp-carparts.com website. Send them a note via their contact form inquiring about the availability of the part number and they'll respond pretty quickly.

Anybody have a US source for the KTC wrenches in post #5596? I can't read Japanese and have no idea how to use amazonjp. TIA
