Hey guys,

I am trying to order 1/2 usa mm socket set and toolsdelivered.com is not showing anything under most all of the hand tools. All of the hyperlinks are visible but there is nothing showing past that.

Seems to be a DNS problem - you can get there if you enter their IP address in your browser. Just delete everything including the http:// and paste in this address:

First attempt was on my home computer and then tried the mobile version.

They could be in bad weather but I don't think that would affect the web site but I am not a computer guy.

FWIW, the site comes up for me but I don't see any products except for a few featured on the home page. Clicking any category links at the left side of the website page leads to nothing.

Started yesterday. Got notice that items on my waiting list were in. Got them into the cart but was unable to get anymore items in through their website. Googled them in somehow and placed the order. Order went through, but then this a.m. got an email that all 7 of my items were on back-order for at least 30 days and they cancelled the order. They would notify me via email (as they did yesterday) when the items I had ordered were once again available. My assumption from the blank fields under the categories is that they are completely out of stock. Some of their prices have creeped up a pinch. Have dealt with them several times and they are straight up and honest. No idea what the situation is. I wish them well.

Checked it from a couple fo different networks and it's working fine, so it must be a regional thing.

Did you try by using the IP address I posted above instead of the name?
Were you able to order and get confirmation? Is it a go?

It's a weird problem with the catalog.

If you go through the drill-down menu on the left you can't find anything because the categories will all be empty. But if you search for an item by name you can still find things.

Thanks for pointing this out. I just checked where I had bookmarked their screwdriver set and saw they're on sale! :rocker:

Let us know if it works. Google the item. Put in the descriptor and toolsdelivered.com in the search box. Find it. Click on it and voila you are able to see it and put it in the cart. I think the blank page under the category is "all gone". They didn't close all the loopholes, but looks like most everything is "backordered" for 30 days or more.

When you get notification that it is shipped, let us know.

I would not order from them as they are obviously having some issues and trying to loop hole an order does not seem kosher to me. Check out other Williams vendors like industrialtoolsupplydenver.com

"Loophole" I think was a work-around if their site was having problems/glitches. Most thought it was a site problem, not realizing that the blank pages meant no stock. The issue seems to be that of no stock. Many of us thought it was merely a technical problem and were messing around with work-arounds. That was obviously not the issue. Almost everything on back-order. No work around or loop hole for no product.

I am super disappointed as I had a few things in the shopping cart to purchase.

The website is back and many items says they're in stock. Do you have any actual proof that they're out of stock of everything? Perhaps the order being canceled was associated with the website problem?

Perhaps we need to contact them through their site or on here before making too many guesses.

"All the items you ordered are on backorder for at least 30 days. The future availability date is unknown at this time so your order has been canceled.

We will place you on an automated email notification list for when the items become available.

Thank you for your business.

I am sorry about this.

good enough proof....?

Thanks for the suggestion. Keith is great and what you can't get into the cart because the search engine won't show it, you can call about it with the number and description and they will add it to your order. Backorders will ship when they come in at no extra cost. A little more expensive but when you need it you need it. They answer and know their product.

I just received a delivery from TD today that was placed maybe a week ago. I have ordered from both stores and they both do a good job.

No. See my previous post. The site is back. It's not clear if you cancellation was connected to the website problem or not.

They also have a lot of things still listed on eBay.

Correct...just bad luck on picking out the over half dozen hand tools that were 100% out of stock at the same time their website had problems. I will probably be persona non grata at their site in the future.

And three of those items had been an email notification that they were back in stock just hours before I placed them into my cart. Showed that they were in stock. Good to know that it is back up and running.

Seems that there are problems with backorders on a lot of USA made Williams tools with all distributors. Shrinking Tool and Die industry? The bad weather back East and getting steel to the manufacturers? Seems to be system wide.

Made an order with them 2 weeks ago. After 5 days I got an email that a set of USA 3/8ths shallows was backordered. Order was shipped, but short a set of USA 3/8ths deeps, also emailed to be backordered. Payal was credited quickly on both items.

Order came packed very well and sent with UPS tracking. I liked that it seemed like a human emailed me the backorder info. I'll buy from them again.
