Are Snapons the only ones worth having, or are there other brands that would be fairly good? I see Genius all over the place, are they any good? Pretty much what I'll need is a 80ft-lb and a 100ft-lb.

Well, SO's torque extensions (Blue Point right) are lifetime warranty, as are other brands too, but I'd say getting SO to warranty it would be much easier than any other 'website brand'

I'm not a fan of them, first, you can overpower them if your impact has more power than they were designed for. Second, I've checked them with a dial torque wrench before to see at what point they would break loose after using one, and the numbers were all over the damn place. Snug them down with the impact, and torque to proper specs, IMHO.
Even changing tires for 14 months, I wouldn't use one, always used the torque wrench.

i has snap on 100 ft lbs torque stick and it is great for me to use it every tire rotates but problems is sonetime my IM5100 got changed to low set of torque itself (it is older impact wrench but it still work good...) but i am still always use torque wrench so i can sleep as good night!!!
Even i can use it for else like pinion bearing nut or axle shaft's nuts... then i can do torque wrench on right way...

As discussed before, there are a few varibles involved that affect the torquestick's accuracy. The impact wrench, volume and PSI of air supply, the user, and the age of the torquestick. You should compare a given torquestick accuracy against a torque wrench at least quarterly to ensure things are working as you think they are.

From all the different "torque gimmicks" i've seen, there's nothing i trust over a torque wrench or personal judgement. having also working in the tyre trade, i just wouldn't trust these sticks.
at work, we have 4 or 5 torque wrenches, i can tell by feel that they're way off. they get used to undo bolts all day, they just chucked around and dropped and they never get wound back either. i can feel that they're clicking at about 35lb/ft not the 70lb/ft that they're set to. i use either my breaker bar, my gun or my own torque wrench over any of them. you get used to putting down the right torque by feel. not as accurate as a good torque wrench, but far better than a **** one.

wow, i dont see that you are use cardboard box to keep all tools in... i has KRL1203 and KRL1003 without the cardboards... maybe i need one???

Torque wrenches? Of course they're going to be off if not wound down. Has anyone checked their torque sticks before?

lot of time i use torque stick and it do meet the torque wrench specific but some time i caught my IM5100 adjust itself so i just keep use torque stick so it can get vehicles go on shop floor fast and torque wrench it quick...

Have you ran a lug down and check the torque to see if it matched the specifications of the extension?

yes. i did that a lot of times. it do match specific of torque but i dont recommend anyone to have it for home use... unless someone want it...

I think it's all about the length. That cardboard box contains his longer unused tools. I don't get the cardboard boxes. I was expecting velour or at the very least purple velvet lined jewel boxes to hold Merkava's polished tools. I'm surprised that he hasn't touched the paint up on the sledge.

I thought about taking the paint off and giving it a fine machined finish with a scotch-brite roloc disc and then painting it clear lacquer.
