Neiko are fine. The Capri advanced series are probably a little better for similar cost.

https://capritools.com/shop/master-star-bit-socket-set-60-piece/

They don't seem to have a long master set. So Neiko may still be the value leader there.

VIM is tool truck level awesome. But more expensive.

This is stupid cheap though if you want to see what the fuss is all about (1/4" drive also helps with access in some cases):

It depends on what you are working on. On my bmw's, low profile is important. I'd recommend some dual drive sockets first. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Mayhew-11-Pc-Torx-Dual-Drive-Set-16003/313309833

If you strip one, you'll want some VIM half cut sockets on hand.

Then I'd prioritize a good bit set, I prefer VIM.

Last, long screwdriver bits.

Those large kits never have the best selection for the money.

I always thought it was funny that companies call them "master" sets but don't include stubby, regular and long. But for cost and quality I like VIM. Another brand that I've seen many rave about is Capri.

I have a 7-piece Snap-on set. I don't even think VIM or Capri was around when got them. I probably got them sometime around 1995 when I was a Piper Aircraft Master Wax & Buff Tech. :D

Those are cool. I haven't seen those before. Mayhew seems to understand how to make high quality stuff in the U.S. but not charge astronomical prices for it.

No joke. 3 or 4 'master sets' and you finally have everything you might need. WTF?

In that Neiko set, look at the close up zoom.
What's the difference between TP30, T30, and TT30?
That kits seems very redundant. I never heard of anything beyond T30.

As already mentioned, that would be Torx 30, Tamper Proof Torx 30, and Torx Plus 30. If only this 'master set' were redundant. Sadly it is missing tons of ****.

Here's a T100 so 30 isn't even close to the end of this mess.

https://www.tooltopia.com/vim-imptx8100.aspx

Also the Neiko set doesn't have Tamper Proof Torx Plus AKA IPR:

Oh and external Torx plus:

Those OTC sets above seem to be missing quite a few sizes though. /sigh

Jeez, all of a sudden that VIM 'master set' looks a little cheaper. Good thing the OP didn't ask about XZN or Ribe. Makes that 6pt vs 12pt hex debate seem quaint doesn't it? Don't forget about 12pt external AKA double hex.

Okay, Torx officially makes no sense

Torx = 6 star
Tamper Torx = 6 star with hole
Torx plus = squared off 6 star
Tamper Torx plus = 5 STAR WITH HOLE?

Who comes up with this stuff? I've always called tamper proof Torx plus; pentalobe.

What is with all the "tamper proof" bits for sale? I have never needed one unless for some cars interiors. Seems like a hole drilled in the center would make them weaker.

There are plenty of things in cars (and other equipment) that use tamper proof bits. Since the hole is at the center, very little strength is lost by it being drilled out. It's the same reason why a car driveshaft doesn't break despite them only being a bit thicker than exhaust tubing.

I've used them on ABS modules, and a few other places. The hole in the bit is filled by the pin in the center of the Tamperproof screw.

Isn't this fun? Tamper Proof Torx and Pentalobe seem very similar but Pentalobe doesn't require the hole. Torx is just about as 'universal' as USB.

https://www.wihatools.com/precision-five-point-pentalobe-screwdrivers

Once we get into small Pentalobe (Apple stuff) then we also have to talk about Tri-point.

https://www.wihatools.com/picofinish-tri-point-000-screwdriver

Oh, we totally forgot about Mortorq if we are still talking about vehicles:

See, this nonsense is a real issue. Of course there are hacks to get around it but this fastener diaspora is utterly insane.
