That would be great, if the OP had room to pull it into the garage and then get the tow vehicle out. But, as stated in the original post...

I realize this is a moot point as the OP seems to have solved the problem, but why would he need room to pull the tow vehicle out, this bolts to the front of the of the TJ and the hitch goes on the newer wrangler, back it in the garage like a trailer. :headscrat

It is rare to work on a backed into a work bay vehicle.

Most work benches and tool boxes are across from the door and most work is under the hood at the front of the vehicle.

My truck has a adjustable height hitch. It is a piece of billet aluminum with teeth. I have put a 2x wedged in and push many times. I use to move a lot of sheds around. But the tire thing is a good deal.

Hmmm....I back into my garage often. I fingers I can back up almost to the wall and have more room in front. My bench is against the side wall. I guess I'm not normal.:wtf:

"Normal" is a state of mind.
Abnormal can be an advantage at times.
(All geniuses are abnormal)

I would say most GJ members are abnormal in that we do not consider a garage just a place to park the DD overnight.
