Home Depot has track lighting on sale, I was wondering if anybody uses that for over a workbench? If so do they put out enough light?

Somebody currently has some in his garage when he bough it, but was surprised by their usefulness by being adjustable to where he is working.

Search in the garage section about "cantors castle " (sp.?)

It's another garage that he is straightening .

I considered it. In the end, I found it more useful to put a small shelf above the workbench and simply mount a fluorescent fixture to the bottom of the shelf. You're often bent over a workbench with lighting behind you, so it's best to have your workbench lighting as close to the wall as possible rather than directly above you.

I use track lighting over one of my benches. No advantage over a single 48 inch fluorescent fixture, IMHO.
