Did the river walk this AM. Noticed quite a bit of shelving/display steel in the heap of pallets out back to be trashed. Gave them a call, said I was welcome to it.
I was getting low on light weight stock, now I’m not. One hr. with the angle grinder and one cut off disc. Thanks a bunch TS.

I also have gotten materials from out back of TS store. Asked manager first. No problem. Pallets, display racks and shelfing.

Also COPYMUTT could you please change your aviator? It really creeps me out and gives me the willies.

What did you think of the new tiny house village?

The first thing i noticed was most vehicles at the tiny homes had NM plates. This is most likely demand from the huge labor force from the surrounding motel/ commercial/ multifamily build out between Wally World and HD. That being the case, its impact on the housing crises is negligible. Don't know what form of ownership, lease, rental is going on here.
Homes are actually quite attractive and a lot of variety in design.
They need to get busy w/ decent skirting or fuel bills and plumbing repairs will make for a rough winter.
Within the village (compound) each has their private mini storage unit, which goes a long way towards being able to live in less than 400sq.ft.
The homes are oriented in typical row mobile home park style. Cant do much else and still keep the price point. Cramming all infrastructure needed into such a small footprint pushes the $ per sq. ft. way above the recently stated county average of $285 sq. ft. for new construction. I’ve followed the tiny home trend and haven't seen any use of slid outs like the RV industry which would avail a big gain in usable % of sq. ft. Guess heat loss is a big factor.

My wife likes it for various reasons!
It mimics the closing salvo from the Red/Green show.

I built the furthest west and south house. I supplied all the storage buildings and the maintenance building and all the steel work. It has been an interesting exercise. I believe the space rent is around $600/month which includes water. Several of them are for rent but most are owned. Good score at TS.

Very cool, did you make use of your Weather King connection?

I ditched Weather King a couple of years ago and took on Tuff Shed. TS was a huge mistake. I now have my own builder in Aztec and can do a lot more.
