Hi, I just bought a matco 4s double bay tool box from someone about 4 months ago and transported it home in the back of my pickup truck. I purchased 2 - 2x10's 10 foot long and mounted those metal ramp plates, which you can get at Homedepot or lowes for $20, on the ends. I removed all the draws from the box and with the help of the original owner and a freind that came with me, one in front of the box to guide and two in the back to push, got it in the truck with no problem. Then when it came time to unload it I removed the draws again and tied a rope around the box (or around the two castors on the bottom of the box) and feed the rope thru the tied down loops in the truck bed (most pickups have loops already mounted in the bottom corners of the bed) and used the rope to help lower the box down and control it, while the other person helped slow it down from the front. If you feel more comfortable you can place jack stands under the 2x10's to help with the load but the 2x10's were strong engough with out them. Hope this helps.
