Can you even buy a decent trash can today?
I'm back at my suburban place and the only decent designed cans I have are the ones from Sears -- they have to be 25 year old. Most are now shot. This is why I used to love Sears -- they had all that basic stuff .. USA ... good quality.
The old Sears round can (hard plastic) had a real lid .. not that frisbee on the Rubbermaids -- even the better Brute version is junk. The bigger Rubbermaid with wheels ... lid design is worthless .... mine is broken like all the others in the neighborhood. I still have two decent Sears cans with attached lids -- I'm using them for real trash.
I have township trash collection -- Trash /recycle/ yard waste. This time of year you have to place the yard waste in cans ... the rubbermaid cans are a pain to drag and the one with wheels flexes too much. I'm ready for a bunch of new ons
... And yes I am OCD about my trash --
