So I didn’t do a great job cleaning up the garden/yard this summer. The constant swings in weather, temps shifting and then rain had me spending my time on more meaningful projects. That brings me to my dilemma. I have a beautiful catalpa tree in my side yard. It drops seed pods on that creat some incredibly invasive new trees. They are a bear to pull out, and while I’m no weakling I have several throughout my front garden beds That I can’t get a good pull enough to get the roots out.
I remembered seeing a jawed tool you chained to an atv to pull out similar to a pallet puller, so I went looking and accidentally came across these jawed prybar tools that look interesting. The two I‘m looking at are the Pullerbear and the Uprooter. Do these things really work like the videos on youtube? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one locally, so I’m not sure if they are a gimmick or the real deal. Hoping that there is a someone out there with real world experience, I’m getting tired of brushcuttering them down and having the pop back up.
