I keep a can on the shelf that way I know I've got enough fuel on hand to cut my way to the road after a storm.Guess if you can't get non ethanol fuel around you parts, then it's worth it. Lucky, for me my local Buc-ees sell non-ethanol gas. So I can mix a gallon of 50:1 for a tad over $4.20
The issue is running the carb dry doesn't get all of the fuel out. So unless there's a drain (like snowblowers) you still have a big water absorbing clump sitting. For long term storage (more than 30 days) drain the tank and run the carb dry.
IMHO, there is nothing wrong with E10. I have been using it in all my outdoor power equipment since it has become the only fuel commonly available in my area (over 2t years).

... drain the tank and run the carb dry...
I think he’s referring to the bowl on the carburetor still having fuel inside even after you run it dry. That is what I was referring to.READ WHAT I WROTE !
Just ignore the man behind the curtainI think he’s referring to the bowl on the carburetor still having fuel inside even after you run it dry. That is what I was referring to.
Bingo! Drain, shutoff, whichever then run until it dies - the carb still isn't going to be dry. That water-sucking residue seems to be worse than leaving the fuel on IMO (other than risk of the float sticking and gas everywhere.I think he’s referring to the bowl on the carburetor still having fuel inside even after you run it dry. All my yard equipment runs on E10 including my rototiller with a classic 5 HP Briggs& Stratton. You can't drain the tank and the tank IS the bowl. Start first or second pull every spring !Im not sure if any of my yard equipment has seen ethanol, but I've never done a single thing other than change the oil...
I got one rebate two days ago. I sent a second one in right at the end of the promo. I’m hoping they honor it too.Im curious if any of you submitted for the rebate and got it? I bought the 4 cans and submitted it. Ive yet to receive anything and it seems the website to track it is gone.
Thanks for the reply. I guess I should give it some more time. I had actually forgotten about it until I saw the receipt for the purchase today.I got one rebate two days ago. I sent a second one in right at the end of the promo. I’m hoping they honor it too.
