Darnit... I thought it was going to be simple. Just buy the new stubby. Now there are two stubbies to choose from. :willy_nil

Treat it like Pokemon. Gotta catch them all!

I'm really liking the stubby ball peen in green. If you have any blems for those, my cheapness would not be able to hold me back any longer. :p

Incidentally, what are the head weights on those? It looks the overall weight of the hammer was posted earlier.

Do you have a rough estimate for the blue flat/flat? month? 6 months?

The flat-flat hammers are going to be slow coming in general. We don't have many parts for the heads. We have a bar feeder and turning center (and use one of our spindle liners, of course) and do all the machining for the heads of ball peens in house. We have parts for the stubby BB, but not many for the FF.

Here are some dimensions.

Ball Peen: 2.70 lbs, head, 2.00 lbs, 10.25" X 5.00" X 1.75"
Flat-Flat: 2.75 lbs head, 2.05 lbs 10.25" X 4.75" X 1.75"

Thanks. Given the information, I presume the stubby ball pein version has the same head as your model TCBP32 standard ball pein?

We're running blue next week, but we don't have too many parts for the heads of the flat-flat hammer. The stubby ball peen head is the same as the head of the TCBP32.

Any plans for some different head weight offerings, like one with same head as the TCBP40 or heavier??

I've always been a fan of short handled heavy hammers and really like both of those, will have to get them at some point. Nice job with the product development, IMO.

I'm like the flat/flat (hell I like them both), what is the cost on these going to be? I'm a blue kinda guy but I haven't even seen the shade of your blue hammers.

Its not on there website yet would be interesting to see a price. Guess I am never gonna see purple ones so may have to settle for green.

From a previous thread -

We haven't finished the costing on the shorty, yet. A ball park is $50-$60 (list price). I doubt it will be more than $60, and it could be less than $50.

I will make a general post tomorrow with a schedule for making and shipping the stubby hammers. The stubby ball peen will be available in red pretty quickly, followed blue and then green, as of right now. The flat-flat stubbies are still several weeks out (need to make parts for the heads). The post tomorrow will also include an option to pre-order the hammers in different colors. Several GJ forum members have asked to place orders in advance of the hammers being available.

I want to thank everybody for their patience and their interest in these new hammers.

Got the stubbies!

They're really nice heavy little hammers. I coulda used these a week ago to drive out from strut bolts in tight quarters. Instead I had to do it with a lot of tiny swings with a similar weight hammer I have with a long handle.

I need to start saving for the Flat flat series, I want to buy one of each lol. Probably going to get the sledges I'm missing too when they are available in blems. I can't get enough TC!

Edit: Oops, I thought this was the Flat Flat thread

There are a LOT of TC threads in flight right now so it gets confusing.

I got my stubbies today, love them! Also got my "Novelty item", now I have a hammer Thor would be proud of and it is green too! Thanks Richard for hooking me up with one of the biggest hammers I have ever owned. I took a few pictures of it next to some of the other hammers for comparison.

Here it is with the stubbies.......

Here it is with a model TCB40....

Here it is with a model 7........

And with the model 14..........

That may take a little effort. They are all over the place, but I will see what I can do.

Yeah.. get that.. This will be the picture that everyone at TC will have in their tool box...

I doubt you have a tool box big enough to keep them all in...so having them all over the place is the result ... lol.....
