Hey guys, just wanted to post some pics of my recently completed garage facelift. Thank you to everyone for the inspiration this forum's provided!
Before: Not the best shot but you get the idea - basic sheetrock was hung and had toolboxes pushed up against the front wall.
Progress:
At this point I had most of the mud done, bench built, cabinets painted to match the toolboxes, steps were 'faced' (front panels on them) and the door trim was finished with putty and primer.
Here you can see the walls are primed, ceiling finished, fan hung and first 'cut' work with the paint was done.
Color complete
Starting to organize (bright spot is an old road sign) and the runner is installed on the garage steps
More progress cleaning/organizing - worse lighting
The fan wasn't quite sufficient for detailing and real work so I added 2 48"x2 flourescent shop lights - This is also a better shot of the fan and the extension cord reel that I repaired (free from neighbor) and installed.
Finished:
Given that I had the cabinets (spray paint refresh), tool boxes and compressor -- built the bench, 'floor boards' (between concrete and drywall) and finished the steps myself, picked up the paint at the local Habitat for Humanity 're-store' and got a sweet deal on the TV used the total budget came in under $250.
I'll take some proper pictures with a proper camera once I get the few wall accents I've planned up.
Enjoy!
