Some rather suspicious (shill?) bidding going on on that vice (and the others that seller has listed) - although still at a bargain of a price.

Wow that certainly is something. I wonder what they were trying to achieve with that :headscrat

maybe they mistranslated Colin Chapman in slovenian... :headscrat

"simplify, then add lightness" is now "use less iron, then add more holes in it"

Really cool Unior vice (similar in style to my Leinen http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3207354&postcount=16181) on ebay.

Located in Wakefield and currently at £13 with a day left to run. Somebody here needs to snap this up (I certainly would if it were closer).

Any recommendations for thin wall alloy wheel sockets?

Only need a 19mm at the mo.

To be honest Will, even the cheapy cheapy cheap ones will cost you about a tenner
for a single socket. I did see on good old ebay someone selling a set of three
17mm, 19mm & 21mm Facom thin wall wheel nut sockets for about £23 plus a
couple quid postage.... and you never know when the 17mm and 21mm will come in
handy.... This is GJ after all. :D

^^^ Top Job Old Chap ^^^

Let us know what you find in there once you've had a good rummage.
That is very nice of your neighbour... It would be great if you are able
to fix something for them using a tool or two from that box..

Knipex 40 - 100mm internal Circlip pliers.

£10

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181176496833?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Gedore 8 piece Circlip pliers set.

10 - 25mm & 19 to 60mm. Internal, external, right angled and straight.

£60 (£7.50 a piece)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400486374862?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

The Gedore are made in Austria and are very strong and very well made. I picked up a couple of pairs a year ago and abused the hell out of them. Still not managed to bend them.

Not sure if they are better than the Knipex but there certainly isn't much in it.

..Circlip pliers...

:thumbup::beer:

Nice one! Got the Gedore set. Was tempted to get the Knipex as well, but I think the Gedores should cover me.

£95+VAT+shipping on the Gedore UK site, so half price!

You'll not be disappointed.

The tray takes up a lot of space but you can throw it away and use the storage box for something else.

The Knipex are a bargain, but if you are only working on cars it is unlikely that you will need that size.

There's 215 items on there so far with lots more to come.

We also have deals on our home page which are worth a look.
