BAHCO BH2628G-200IPRU £11.05

No idea if they are shipping 'made in France' pliers as pictured or what I assume are newer mystery coo pliers like the pic below.

I've bought several of these from Amazon. They're now made in Spain, not France. They have some end cutters now made in Germany, wire strippers and cable cutters made in China, and the combination and long nose pliers are made in Spain. All of the Bahco pliers have the COO clearly marked on the back of the hanging cards. Even the Chinese pliers clearly say Made in China on the cards. None of them have the COO engraved or stamped on the pliers, but a couple of the styles do have Spain printed on the handles in addition to the cards. I've only seen that once or twice though.

I bought that exact pair of pliers from that Amazon listing about 2 months ago and they came in a clear plastic bag, no hanging cardboard, no coo marking at all.

You're right, I forgot that I have gotten a few Bahco tools in nothing but a bag or bubble wrap and those don't say the COO. I do have several of these style though and at least some of them came with a card saying they're made in Spain.

My order wasn't showing up at all when I logged in and checked. I asked for an update via their live chat, and was told they'd need to check with the supplier, and she'd email be with what she found. I'll update here if I have any news either way.

Email received today stating my delivery date is revised to 10-Jan.

Popped in Homebase today. They were filling the gaps made by the clearance tools with Silverline which looks to be a step down in price and quality. Looks to be really bottom of the barrel stuff. :(

There was a couple of aisle ends with what's left of the clearance stock.

Silverline vary depending what tool it is. I have their 6-32mm spanner roll, which I have been abusing since late 2010, the only failure is the roll gave up. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000LFTQMC/?tag=atomicindustr-21

They're not the nicest finished, but perfectly functional and really strong. My snap on spanners are much nicer, but also 10x more expensive for 15 fewer spanners.

I've also got a few Silverline power tools, Big sds, polisher, biscuit jointer. The £50 sds has been used to knock the plaster and render of a few houses, it's not pretty but does the job and still working. The polisher and jointer are cheap but do the job, I use them 2-3x/year each, don't see the point in buying expensive ones.

Overall, Silverline are definitely cheap, but they're tough and do the job, good value for money.

On the otherhand I have had to use Silverline stuff that failed first use or didn't work properly out the box, but basic cheap and cheerful hand tools are normally fine no matter whos name is on them nowadays.
Its another company from the guy that Started Screwfix and Toolstation

Isn't screwfix owned by b&q/kingfisher, and toolstation opened by travis perkins to compete with screwfix?
The guy who started Screwfix sold it to Kingfisher then went and started Toolstation. He may have sold it to Travis Perkins by now. I haven't been keeping up lateley.

I was PM'ed this deal by a member who doesn't have enough posts to post in this thread. Looks like a good deal.

Thanks for posting this up, ordered this when posted but was on back order by the time I ordered. It arrived on Saturday and have already put it to use. Great bit of kit and an absolute steal at that price.

Good to hear that yours turned up, Amazon had an issue delivering mine and returned to sender :( I wouldn't mind, but they're £30 now!

I wndered whether something similar would happen to me as I saw the price jumped up but after 5 days of ordering, they had taken the payment at £9 and I messaged them to get an update on the order and said they had better honour the price as they had already taken payment.

Did any of you folks get the knife? i missed the offer but it does look like the Milwaukee fast back. It would be interesting to see a review of these Bosch tools.

I noticed one of the Amazon reviewers said that the Knife works only with Bosch blades. Not sure if this is true as they look standard but worth looking into before buying one.
